I used to work on few open windows with a number of open tags, for some reason firefox stopped opening new window, any reason why?

I have been using firefox for a while. I usually work on a number of windows (sometimes up to 8) with 8 - 10 tags in each. I was using a trial version of Nero and was triggered for an upgrade which i stopped half way through. I dont know if this has caused this problem. Now I cannot open any link in a new window. It will only open in a new tag of the same window.

One of the following steps should help.
1. Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Web Content:
    Click in the box for "Enable Plug-ins".
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.
     http://www.youtube.com/html5
    At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box for
   "You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes next to all items.
    Check the box next to "Remove all website data".
    Click "Reset".
5. Turn off Extensions/Plug-ins if any that may interfere with Flash working properly.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

I just updated (bad word because it is a serious DOWN grade) to 29.0. What a terrible mistake. If I wanted to use Chrome I would use Chrome. This version of FF is total shit.
1) How do I get rid of that horrid big orange FF button?
2) How do I re-enable double click on tab bar to open a new tab?
3) How do I fix the navigation buttons (forward is ½ hidden under back)?
4) How do I restore the colors (theme?) to my previous settings?
5) Why is FF trying to be chrome anyway?

To clarify, the list of previously or later visited pages does still show up when I right click on the navigation arrows in the Developer Version, but I cannot open any of the links in the list in a new tab with the mouse wheel or "Ctrl + Left Mouse Click".

Only the Apple ID that bought the apps can update the apps. That Apple ID is permanently encoded in the apps.
Your only option is to delete your cousin's apps* and buy them with your own Apple ID.
*Your cousin's apps on your Mac is software piracy.

So I just upgraded to an iphone 5 from a 4s becaused the screen did not work any longer, however, my 4s still works so I've got everything still but for some reason it will only transfer half my music to itunes so I can't get all my music onto new phone

So I just changed from an iphone4S to an iphone 5 because my screen didn't work any longer on the 4s but the phone itself still works so I managed to get all my contacts etc BUT for some reason I can't transfer all my music across to itunes and therefore I can't get it onto my new phone, it only transfers about 50% of it.
Then when i go into music on the iphone 5 it shows the music but won't let you play anything and just flicks through all the songs without playing anything.
Can anyone help please?

If you can not use CS4 menu Help>Activate|Deactivate to get the install working again you may need to re-install CS4.

Acrobat Pro 9 Used To Work on my 64bit Windows 7 machine

I recently replaced my 32bit XP platform which was running with Acrobat Pro 9 for a few years with a 64bit Windows 7 earlier this year. It worked just fine. For some reason, I am now finding that trying to 'actuate' the program fails. As does clicking on a PDF file name. Acrobat Reader works OK but not "Pro". I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I went to their website and painstakingly installed upgrade on upgrade from the earlier to the 9.5.5 current one. Still no cigar. Anyone have a clue?

Are the image all the same size the % files open into a document seems to vary with the number of pixels the image being opened has. Check the Image size.

Eric, thanks that works but seems like an extra added step also to do it that way. I've got to move and organize a ton of files and I'm looking for a easy way to get this done. I could also open the folder into a separate tab and then drag the tab out so it becomes an open window but thats a lot of fussing around also with extra steps. Not sure why these newer operating system seems more confusing and less user friendly than what they used to. In the past I could just click on any folder and it would open in a separate window making it really easy to copy or move files from one place to the other just by simply dragging them from one window to the other. Seems like I'm going through several extra steps now to do a simple task.

One of my app tabs for some reason opened in a new window; how do I get it back w/other app tabs on original window?

I have 5 frequently-used websites on app tabs on my Firefox browser window. I've had these since I first saw the update about app tabs, and I have never before had a problem with it.
Today, I was working in one tab, and realized I needed to check something on the website at another app tab. I have done that sort of thing many times. But for some reason today, when I clicked on that other app tab, there seemed to be a long wait like it was working hard to make the switch, then suddenly a new Mozilla Firefox window opened with the only tab being the "another app tab" that I had clicked on.
That particular app tab is now missing from my original browser window.
I must've clicked something by accident or hit another key while I was clicking with the mouse on the app tab that I wanted to look at. I have no idea why it opened in its own window and disappeared from my app tabs on the original window.
How do I get that app tab back with the others on the original browser window? Is there any way other than simply starting over and re-pinning that site as an app tab?
If I have to re-pin it on the original window, is there a way to make that app tab the 1st in sequence the way it was before it opened in its own window? It is my most-commonly-used app tab, so I'd really like it to be the first in line, so to speak.

Make sure that you do not drag a tab in the browser window. 
Firefox 3.5 versions and later have a feature called tear-off tabs. 
You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window. 
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

I have used Image Capture to scan images/documents and then saved them as either PDFs or PNG files. For some reason, just this past week Image Capture will no longer save the file. It scans, and the Scan Results window pops up, but it won't save file.

The file name has no special character in it, just letters and no spaces.
I have done this in the past and it has worked, but now it will not.
I have not upgraded any software, that I am aware of.
After scanning, the Image Capture pops up the Scan Results with the file name in the window, but neither the Scan Results nor the Image Capture window responds to inputs. The Image Capture window is frozen, with only the "Overview" and "Cancel" buttons active (but non-responsive).
Is this a software issue or a scanner hardware issue? I am using a HP Photosmart C6200 series printer/scanner on a network using a Time Capsule airport.

I had the same problem.
Got a 90% fix. Apparently the Mavericks preferences won't work with Yosemite, so I just deleted the Image Capture preferences.
Unfortunately, the "Scan to" folder seems to be permanently set to the Pictures folder.
1. Quit Image Capture
2. Go to Finder > Go > Home, which opens up your home folder (named after your user name)
3. Open Library > Preferences > com.apple.ImageCapture.plist - Drag this file to the Trash
4. Start "Image Capture", click "Details" and change all your settings as you prefer
5. Quit and restart "Image Capture". Notice it remembers all your settings except "Scan to" folder. It insists on saving to "Pictures".
That's as far as I was successful. I tried changing the "Scan to" folder to "Desktop", but on launch, Image Capture always sets it back to "Pictures".
This is what I tried:
6. Download and install "Pref Setter" from http://www.nightproductions.net/prefsetter.html
7. Quit "Image Capture". Right-click on "com.apple.ImageCapture.plist" and open with Pref Setter.
8. Search for "Pictures", which finds "~/Pictures" (the tilde character at the start means your home directory).
9. Double-click on "~/Pictures" and change it to the folder you prefer. I like "~/Desktop"
10. Choose File > Save then Quit from Pref Setter. Note that re-opening the plist file still shows "~/Desktop"
11. Start up "Image Capture" -- on startup, "Image Capture" sets "Scan to" folder to "Pictures"

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

You need to ask Apple for assistance with getting back into your old ID. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to resolve this issue through the Account Security team, fill out and submit this form.

You really should be doing backups with an actual backup application, especially one that will work automatically, and, if your external HD is large enough, back up your entire system. These can automatically back up only what's changed since the previous backup, and some will keep "archive" copies of things you've changed or deleted, also.
Too many things can go wrong, such as your internal HD failing, and you'll have a major project to reinstall everything.
You already have Time Machine, built-in to OSX. You might want to review the Time Machine Tutorial, and perhaps browse Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
#27 in the second link mentions some alternatives, too.
