How do I get my ipad to recognize the microphone on my arbuds?

    Hi,
You'll need to make sure that both your printer and iPad are connected to the same wifi network (your home wifi). When this is complete, your printer should see your iPad.

  • My Mac Mini isn't recognizing my Blue Yeti (USB) microphone.

I've had both Mac mini & Blue Yeti for about a year. They both individually work perfectly fine, but it wasn't until recently I decided to use the mic on my mini.
When I plug my Blue Yeti microphone into the USB port on the back of the Mac Mini, the light on the microphone turns on. In which indicating that the microphone is on. Yet, when in applications such as audacity, garage band, and reaper it will not recognize the microphone.  Disabling me from recording at all. (I also tried Mac preferences via audio, to see if it appears there. Unsuccessful.)

Yes, when i go to System Preferences>Sounds>input the only thing that appears is
And also all the ports work, ive tested it out with my iphone charger.
How do i look up the system report ?

  • Mac mini not working with logitech h130 headset's microphone

    Hi,
I have a mac mini (late 2014) model that appears to not work with my headset's microphone, my headset is a logitech h130 that works perfectly with all other devices that I have (which are not apple), please fix! ASAP

Assuming that the headset has two 3.5 mm plugs you need one of these to combine the headphone and jack into one 3.5 mm plug

  • How can i connect a microphon on my mac mini?

I would like to be connected with Skype, but i can configure my microphone. Do some of you know how can i do that connetion?

The "mic" input on the mini is actually a general purpose line level input.  It will require a battery powered mic to work properly.  You can also use a usb mic.  Adjustments are made from System Preferences > Sound > Input.

  • What microphones are compatible with a mac mini

what microphones work on mac mini?

Almost all USB mics work. For the mic-only input you need an amplified (linein) mic which are amplified.

  • What are the alternatives of adding a microphone to mac mini? Which port should I use?

I am so used to macbook for built in microphone that I don't even know how to add a microphone to a mac mini, there's no microphone input port is it? If that's the case how should I use a microphone in mac mini? Thanks.

Look again at the specs, the port is actually a line level input
and not all microphones have line level outputs.  From 2012
    spec sheet:
    Audio
    Audio line in minijack (digital/analog)

  • Mac Mini Microphone Error

A few weeks ago, I bought a new mac mini. I recently tried to use a microphone that I used on a previous computer, but the computer isn't reading it.
    Any ideas?

Get a usb microphone. Just about any one will work.
The Mini expects an amplified mic signal thru the microphone port -- and most mics designed for PCs don't provide this.
But using a usb mic gets around this.
Or you can get a converter for your old mic like the iMic:

  • MacBook won't recognize headphone microphone

I can't get my Macbook to recognize the microphone built into my Apple earbuds or my Urbanears Plattan headphones. What can I do to make it work?
Help me Apple Support! You're my only hope!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
I can't remember if that setting is stored in PRAM but resetting it won't hurt and might fix it.
Hold down command/option/p/r keys at start up and wait for three chimes before releasing the keys.

  • Dell UZ2315H, skype auto mutes the microphone

    Hello,
I bought new Dell UZ2315H monitor, which included a webcam and a microphone internally. For the speakers the HDMI cable is connected to the pc and for the webcam and microphone there is a usb cable connected to the pc.  Now is this solution very promising, and I am able to use the microphone in other programs perfectly, but when I try to use the microphone with Skype, it mutes the microphone so no one can hear me. The strange thing that happens is that the mute LED on the monitor itself turns on (so this means the microphone is off), but my windows and skype settings tell me that the microphone is not muted. This only happens when I use Skype. Is there a solution for this problem?
    Kind regards,  K

    can anyone help?

  • IMac won't recognize external microphone through 4-pin splitter

I recently purchased a Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 headset with separate audio output/input jacks, so I planned ahead and purchased a "splitter" adapter to get it to work with my Late 2012 27" iMac's 3.5mm combo jack. According to different accounts, it should have worked. But it doesn't.
With the splitter, the audio output works fine, but the microphone isn't appearing in the Sounds system preference pane (I tried my iPhone's Earpods and its microphone is recognized). I've tried all the usual suspects, resetting both the computer and the PRAM, and tried all the tricks that got it to work with other people- muting the mic, plugging in the inputs before plugging the splitter into my iMac, I even tried the MIDI setup and stared at it like a five year old.
Am I missing something? It seems to work for other people with the same headset and splitter. I'd like to exhaust all my options before forking over $40 for a Griffin iMic. Thanks.

Is yours a Rev. A or B iMac??
Not sure if this will work but try this, shut down and power down everything, detach all external peripherals you have (FW and USB, all the hubs, iPod etc etc) even the ethernet cable, pull out the main power cord too, let the iMac "rest" at least 15 mins, then attached back the main power cord.
Now plug in your FW drive and then start up the mac to see if your ext. HD mounts
    Cheers

  • How do I plug a non-USB microphone into a Mac Pro?

Question from an audio newbie....I've got a 2009 Mac Pro desktop computer. I just bought a microphone headset. The headset has a two-pronged plug in, a green one for the headset (speakers) and a pink one for the microphone. My Mac Pro has two speaker ports - one in front and one in back - but I can't find anyhwere to attach the microphone plug.
I don't want a USB headset because my USB ports are already maxed out. How can I attach this non-USB microphone and get it to work?

Look at your back side. Look at the booklet too that it came with or from support page manual.
    www.apple.com/support/macpro
there are digital out audio and microphone on the backside.
