I've been out of the loop - is there any hope for my Audigy 2 in Vis

Are they going to eventually come out with drivers that will make my Audigy 2 ZS Plat Pro fully functional again, so I can use all the ports and features again? Or are they going with X-Fi only now?
It would be a shame if I spent over $300 for a soundcard that would not even work with future versions of Windows
edit: Also, I'm running the Mar 07 driver pack off Creative's site. If you guys have any recommendations for any unofficial driver packs or anything to unlock more ability out of my soundcard, that'd be great. Thanks!

I recommend the Manual instructions. Driver Sweeper might not get it all because Vista will try to hold on to those files for dear life.

Hello everyone I have been out of the loop of new phones and features for quite some time now and my upgrade comes around just before i get ready to come home from Afghanistan. So i have always been a fan of the Android phones and i know alot of new phones have come out latley like when i logged on i saw the Droid 4 i believe and was like when the hell did the Droid 3 come out? What a colossally bad idea! To anyone reading this thread DO NOT DO THIS!!! Once anyone other than an Apple Authorized Service Provider (and that doesn't automatically mean your carrier, just FYI) opens up the device, then ALL options from Apple are gone, permanently.

Probably not. First of all, 48 hours is not enough. 5-7 days is better. Secondly, if you did not turn it off the very instant you retrieved it, it probably did worse damage. Even if it powers on, it's very unlikely it will function 100%.

There is some hope. I have heard of someone putting the ipod in a bag of dry rice and putting the bag in a dark place for a 4-5 days. After that they used this:

This has the best chance. The rice absorbs any liquid in the ipod.

I have not had any experience in getting any devices repaired so I'm not sure which store to resort to. An official Apple store should more than likely get you what you need, but I'm guessing it's probably more expensive. (if any cost for your situation)

Hello i dropped my ipod in the toilet (clean water). Once i took it out of the toilet i pressed the home button and within a second it shut off! :( I quickly dried it with a towel and accidently pressed the top button! D: and put it immediatly into a bag of rice. 3-4 hours passes and i tried to turn it on nothing happened. I honestly tjougjt it would be dry...stupidly! and now its on the rice and has been in there for an hour since the last time i triwd turnong it on. Hey Posada143, You can still try the rice thing, but do not expect much, as roaminggnome has stated. The rice only works if you do it ASAP and leave the iPod off-- do not attempt use, turn on or charge until it is completely dried out. This is probably academic at this point but remember this for the next time: The drying can take 10 days. You put the uncooked rice and iPod in a sealed bag, change the rice every couple of days. This creates a low humidity environment and draws the moisture out of the iPod, but it takes time. Turn your iPod on to earlier, and you run the risk of shorting out, damaging the components inside. Even if done correctly it can spotty. If you do get the iPod to work (and this may require Resetting, Restoring or attempting to place it in DFU recover mode) the first thing you do is make backups, because you never know how long it will continue to work. As for your pictures, if you can't get your iPod to work, you can try data retrieval companies, however; there is no guaranty it will work and it tends to be very expensive. In the future get in the habit of as making backups, because you just don't know. And invest in and use a water tight case. Hope this helps, Good luck. Cheers.

After getting my phone out of the toliet and drying it off..it appeared to be ok...three hours later, I tried to use it and it was off. I put it in rice immediately a few days later it hasn't made a difference. Yesterday, I bought a bag that is for cell emeregencies such as this, and this hasn't helped either. I haven't had a phone for four days...is it time to give up and try to find a new one or hope the drying bag helps? I don't want a new phone, I want to keep this one and hope I can revive it. I dont have insurance therefore, I am scared I will need to purchase a new phone.

I doubt that drying is the issue any longer. You can try putting it on a wall charger, let it charge for at least a half hour and then try to Reset it (hold down the power and home buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons) while it is still connected to power. It may take several tries. If it is working let it fully charge.

So I went to turn on the ipad2, and there is an icon telling me to connect it with my MacBook to restore it. It worked fine the night before. Anyway, is there any way to get back what was on it. I am mostlry concerned with photographs. I am ashamed to say that I did not back it up as often as I should have.

My ipod went in the wash for 40 minutes and the screen was crushed. i immediatly put it in a baggie of brown rice. is there any hope for the hardware? (i know i need a new screen)

can it be saved? i know the rice thing has worked for other people but the bottom have of the screen is in basically small fragments so it probably got extra wet...

If you take or send it to Apple for the broken screen, they will replace your iPod (for a significant price) with an equivilant refurbished model. It doesn't matter what else is wrong with it.
