Since it is only the headset that is the problem and not the iPhone it would be better to just buy a new set and not let yourself be frustrated over it. If you send anything to your sister before the one-year warranty is over, include the headset so she can exchange it at an Apple store.

the moment I upgraded to iOS 8 I cannot refer to dictionary. no word found error is coming. this is happening. in iPad mini retina, cellullar and wifi model.
Just want to say that my 1st gen iPad Air is having the same problem. I get word not found error when I use my dictionary. There's an option to install dictionary. Have you tried that? I'd like to add that if you successfully add a dictionary, don't be surprised if the installed dictionary is missing sometime in the future. That's what happens to my iPad and a friend's iPhone 6 Plus. Our devices keep forgetting US English dictionary that we've installed. We both run iOS 8 (mine is 8.1.2 and my friend's is iOS 8.1.3).

AT&T has not as of yet announced any plans to unlock an iPhone that was purchased as locked to them. Whether or not they will do so in the future, only AT&T would know, and they probably will not say unless and until they're ready to make an official announcement. There is nothing Apple can do for you in this matter unless you are still within the timeframe for returning the iPhone.

and to activate it should i have t-mobile sim ?As Ethmoid says, it is still a CDMA phone as I told you earlier, and it will not work with t-mobile. Even if Sprint unlocked the phone, it would only unlock the GSM side for international use. They will not unlock the GSM side for domestic use in the US.

If you purchased an unlocked iPhone, sold in the US only by Apple themselves directly, contact your carrier and ask if they support iPhones and if so just sign up. If you purchased a locked iPhone, which you would get if you purchased from anyone other than Apple, then you would have to contact the cell carrier to whom the phone is locked and ask if they would unlock the iPhone.

Because an iPhone warranty is only good in the country of purchase. You will have to take it back to the USA or send it to someone there to have them take it to an Apple store.

Your earlier phone must have been originally intended for sale in another country and must have been purchased from somewhere other than an authorized Apple retailer. Phones that are intended to be sold in the UAE have FaceTime permanently disabled. The option is not there and cannot be made to work.
