I've destroyed Quicktime X, and now I want it back.

Hi there.
After having my MacBook stolen a few weeks ago I've recently just purchased a new one and am slowly becoming accustomed to the differences in OSX Lion.
One of which is Quicktime X which apparently is specific to the new operating system, though before about 15 minutes ago this was something I was unaware of.
Understand my frustration that there have been a number of occassions in the last week - one being trying to access movie trailers on the Apple website and it tells me to install a new Quicktime. I try that by following the links, but can't install Quicktime 7, because X is installed and cannot be removed.
This frustration hightened this afternoon when I changed the persmissions of the application allowing me to place it in the trash, though whilst it removed most of the app, there is still some remnants of it there. I have also since tried to install 7 again and it still won't work. I've tried to get an earlier version of Quicktime 10 from my iMac and that won't open either. I've tried to restore X, though its only 346kbs big.. so its safe to say I've screwed the pooch with this one.
Any chance you can point me in the right direction of how I can fix my mistake? It would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue for the most part. I deleted X. I installed QT 7 Pro.
I then ran across some file that needed X but you can't download anywhere since its pre installed in the OS.

Go into iTunes, select the name of your iphone on the list on the left hand side of iTunes, looks right above the picture of your iphone and you'll see summary info apps etc. go all the way to the right and you'll see photos, check mark the box to sync photos and chose the folder where you imported the photos to your computer from.

You cannot delte youtube from the iphone.
It is either on anohter page, in a folder, or you have restrictions set.

HELP: moved library to external HD and now I want it back on original drive

So here is what I did: All my music is on an external drive. Got a new bigger external drive because the other one is now full. Followed the instructions on apple's website for moving music libraries from one drive to another, consolidated and everything. I decided I do not like new drive so I wanted everything the way it was on the old drive. The music is there, but now all I get are those terrible exclamation points. When I try to play a song, iTunes can't find the song. under prefs, I have the music folder location pointed in the right direction. I am sure there is an easy fix, but for the life of me, I can not figure it out. I know somebody out there has the answer. Thanks.

my understanding of consolidate is that it COPIES the files to the new, or pointed, location. The files already exist there, and if it does copy the files there again, there will not be enough space. Maybe I don't understand the consolidate function well.

That depends on how you bought it. Did it come preinstalled on your Mac and are you using Lion or Mt. Lion? Then you can probably download iPhoto again from the AppStore:
Double-click the App Store icon in the dock.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Purchases.
If you haven't previously accepted your bundled iLife applications within the Mac App Store, you should see your iLife applications appear in the Accept portion of the screen. Click Accept.
You may be asked for your Apple ID and password once again. Your iLife applications now move to the Purchased section. These applications are part of the software that came with your Lion based computer. Your account will not be charged for them. Click Install to complete installation of your applications.
If iPhoto came on the install disks that came with your Mac, reinstall them from the disk with the added content.
If you bought iPhoto on an iLife CD, install from that.

I have twin sons and my wife sharing one itunes account and now from what a relative told me I should split them up since face time from my sons itouch is showing up on my wife's iphone ... so I started a new itunes account for all 3 of them, and now I want to sync each of their devices with their own accounts, before they had all the same music, etc... will I run into any issues when syncing each of their devices... meaning will I see a message like "this device is synced with another account and then it will say if I proceed it will erase what is on the device" ... ?? will I see this or will it just sync as normal

You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your iCloud ID for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

You can't merge Apple IDs. You also can't cancel (delete) and existing ID, you can only choose to stop using it.
If your old ID was compromised and you can no longer access it, you'll have to contact Apple for assistance. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; click 'See all products and services' at the bottom of the page. In the next page click 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then then 'Apple ID account Security’.

I recently browsed iTunes UK and now can't get back to iTunes US version. I restarted my Mac and whenever I open iTunes store it is the UK version. I can't open an account there because it won't let me use by email address twice.

Funny how this seems to be one of the most-asked questions on the Internet. In most cases, no answer is ever checked as "Correct," either. Most answers, as on this page, say to click the flag at the bottom right-hand corner of any store page. The problem? There's only one flag!!! And it's the one of the country we don't want to be in!!!
Just in case this helps someone: what worked for me was to sign in. It then told me my id was not valid for this country, and switched me back to the US. How I was ever able to buy something from the UK store in the first place is beyond me.
By the way, Apple, experiences like this, and many, many other horrible ones with iTunes, is why those of us who do not live in the Apple world continue to stick to their Microsoft PCs.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

If i backup an app for example Music Downloader as it contains like 300 songs and now i want to replace my iphone 5 so when i restore the app from itunes do i get back all the content in the app or just the app itself ??..

I am not sure whether the music will get restored.
Anyway try this
1.Connect iPhone to PC.
2.Open iTunes
3.Open iPhone Summary
4.Go to Apps Tab
5.Under File Sharing Section Click on Music Downloader
6.Right side if you see your songs click on one song and press (CTRL + A).(hope you are using windows) and click on save and then save to a folder on your computer.
7. Later just do steps till 5 to put to new iPhone then ...........
8.Click on save and select the music files which u want to put in that app.
9.Click on apply to sync.
10.You should be having the music in that app
