I've just downloaded Pages 4.1 onto my new macmini (OS X 10.7.2 Lion) but the "Save as ..." function does not appear in the File menu (although "Save ..." does appear). I'm wasting lots of time saving copies and then changing the names via the desktop. Any suggestions? I've already checked updates and can't see any that look suitable.
Whoops! No sooner had I posted this as a question when a whole host of queries popped up asking the same Q. So now I know there is NO Save as in Pages 4.1, but a similar route using Duplicate. I'm off to experiment.

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
* Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe. -
I have Nikon D7100 and shoot in raw. I have tried to open a raw file in elements 10 but it states it does not support the format. I also have a D800 and these open file in elements camera raw. Can anyone help please?
Hi,
You need version 7.4 or higher to read raw files from, a D7100. Unfortunately, ACR 7.4 is not compatible with PSE 10.
You need to either
- update to a new version of PSE or
- download the DNG converter - use it to conver your NEF files to DNG files which can then be read by PSE 10.

i have downloaded new ringtones for my iphone but my itunes dashboard does not show ringtones on it , so i can't put them on my phone.Am i doing something wrong.The ringtones were bought from i tunes.
Tones is the new name for Ringtones. If the entry is missing in the left-hand column of iTunes then enable it from Edit > Preferences > General tab.
If your existing tones are not syncing properly to your iOS device then uncheck the option to Sync Tones from the Tones tab when the device is connected, sync the device, check the option and sync again.

When visiting a site I frequent I tried to download a linked .pdf file. Previously I've used Firefox 7.0.1 to download the link with no problem. Using Firefox 8 however I the browser does not recognize the .pdf link's mime type. Instead of recognizing the download link as a .pdf file Firefox 8 tries to download it as "index.php". Firefox 8 does this with .doc files and .txt files as well. When I downgrade to 7.0.1 again the problem disappears.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. Trying to download adobe program adobe photoshop CS5 Optional Automate Plug-ins, but get a message that it does not contain valid signature and it won't install the app. Can someone help with this please? Trying to reach Adobe by phone is impossible.

If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

You may be attempting to Share (export) the movie from the Event Library. You need to create a Project, drag clips (or segments of clips) from the Event to the Project, then use the Share menu to export the Project. Movie clips can't be exported directly from the Event. Clips you add to a Project reference (point to) the clips in the associated Event (or Events).

Are you sure that your iPad is connected to WiFi? It may be using cellular data.
Go to Settings > WiFi and see if you are connected. -
Burning to audio cd?
I downloaded 22 paragraphs from an audio book, which I purchased and attempted to burn them to an audio cd.
The burn process worked; however, the chapters were not in sequence.
For example th enew cd began with ch 19, then 3, 4, 19, 12, 7, and on and on.
My great hope was for it to begin with #1; then follow sequentially and end with #22.
What am I doing wrong?
