I've downloaded PSE 13 but it won't start up on my HP Windows 8 PC. Is PSE13 compatible with 64 bit machines or just a waste of money?

I see that a full charge results in only 51% of the battery capacity. Your battery is going south. It would be great if you happen to know someone with an HP power adapter like yours to plug in to your noetbook. The AC adapter output is within 10% of 18.5 volts so it is OK. I suspect a charging and power management control chip failure on the system board is causing the issue.

Wonder if anyone can help? Have just bought a new Macbook pro and installed FCP7. I thought that I would get quicktime pro as standard but stuck with QTX. Your iPhone has to have the iOS upgraded to 5.1 first. If you have not updated it is probably running 5.0 or 5.0.1
To update the iOS go to
Settings > General > Software Update then follow the prompts.
If that says your are at 5.1 then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem. -

Reboot your iPad and then try it again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

I downloaded Mavericks but can't get past the install; it thinks my hard drive is reserved for Time Machine. I have an external hard drive but dis-connected that before download.
I have Time Machine turned off.Check to see if you have a file name Backups.backupdb on the disk drive.
If the installer sees such a file it assumes that the disk drive is being used by Time Machine.

I don't have the disk and i tried the shift key and it didn't do anything, i have tried like everything but it won't work and i was givin this computer with a charger and that is all nothing came with it and i don't think that it had the lion thing on it either i never got to that it just won't turn on and i have another mac that was a family members but it won't turn on either at all it won't load anything the screen stays black. so i don't really know at all what to do is there anything else? i don't want to take it anywhere because i have no money for that, and i need this computer for school. Downloaded Yosemite but it will not install on Macintosh HD as it says it is used for Time Machine Backups but it is not. TM backup is to an external 2TB HD. Downloaded OX X twice with the same result.

For some reason you have a folder called Backups.backupdb at the root level of the hard disk on which you want to install Yosemite.
Move it to the Trash. -

After following deggie's advice, charge the iPad overnight. Be sure to use the charger that came with the iPad. Do not use an iPhone charger. Do not use an iPod charger. Do not use a computer USB port.

My iPod Touch 5th Gen won't open. I don't know if the battery is empty or what. I tried connecting it to the computer but it won't start up. I think it just heating up. When I tried to charge it, after a few seconds it it hot. Can somebody help me, please?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. The hotness suggests a battery problem

My ipad has latest iTunes (11.1) but iTunes on my computer (mac 10.5.8) is now no longer compatible with ipad software and cannot sync. Would like to upgrade to Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 from DNS 6 (which would also entail a necessary upgrade from Windows 2000 to 7) but understand after all this expense and trouble, DNS upgrade may not be compatible with Firefox 6?
Main priority is voice activation upgrade. Ideas about how to proceed appreciated!AFAIK, it's been over three years since a WinXP laptop or desktop PC has been sold; I specifically bought a laptop in June 2008 because it was being clearanced by that retail chain to meet Microsoft's deadline, and got it real cheap. It was tagged for the store manager to purchase, but he let me have it because I exceeded his expectations for the services I performed for his store and thought I deserved it. Anything that wasn't made for Vista-compatibility will be very iffy with Win7, IMO - so that basically rules out anything that was made before like Oct or Nov 2007.
Unless another DNS 11 user happens to see this thread and can verify whether it works in Firefox 6.0 or not, I don't what to recommend except for you doing a web search to see what other DNS / Firefox users have to say about compatibility. -
Windows XP. I used to use Firefox and it worked okay. I'm not sure why I downloaded a new version but it won't open. The window that says "Firefox Update" continues to try to load. Hour glass symbol, for hours. If I try to click on the Desktop symbol, Nothing. Then when I try to shut down, it's slow, programs won't quit, or it freezes. I've removed Firefox completely and tried downloading again with the same results. Even with the latest version. Shit. Whassup?
