Hummmm, you might not be missing anything... From what I understand, really the only new visible add-on apps type programs are Newstand and Reminders. The Notification Center seems to be about how your info and alerts are pushed to your screen and you control that thru the phone settings>General>Notifications, the panel is accessed by swiping downward from the top of your screen. Weird I know, should be more obvious. Enjoy!
Don't forget, you can now use the volume button on the side of your phone to take photos. I really like this!

In that process I lost my LR4 catalogs I was able to redownload the program but the catalogs are not there and not all of those pictures are on my external hard drive because same said teen decided they were going to borrow my external hard drive without telling me and "made room" on it. Is there a way to recover my catalogs? It depends on how you wiped your drive. Depending on how you did it, only the directory was erased and the data can be found with drive recovery software. Some are free, although there is a small charge for most of them (~$30). You can usually download a trial version that shows if it will work and you have to pay to be able to save the found files. Use Google to search for the software. Different programs work differently and can find different things.

From my main computer, all old emails that were in the Inbox are suddenly gone & I cannot receive new emails. All other folders/boxes are there (nothing has happened to those files) and I can send emails. I can see the emails in the inbox through my providers site. I have a laptop and the Thunderbird email account on it is working fine. I've compared all the email settings between the main computer & laptop & both are the same. Can you please tell me how to get the old & new emails on my main computer?
After trying lots of other ideas (including removing a mail account and recreating it), I have deleted my preference files and my Library/Mail folder. Starting over completely from scratch seems to have fixed it.
I'm disappointed that I could find a better solution. -
In a hurry, I opened an email that said "order was shipped from "ammazon". I downloaded the order document and it ended up being a zip file. I then realized what it was, and did not actually open the file. This was on my Iphone 5. What should I do now!?
Delete the email. The zip file will have no effect on your iPhone.

Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad. -

If you click the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your computer's iTunes does that download them and/or do they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (TV programmes won't show in all countries) ? If your iPhone was hacked/jailbroken to use a different carrier then the update locks it back again to the original carrier.

Guess what? It was a font conflict all along. I removed a folder of free fonts I downloaded days earlier. Problem solved. No need to wipe out the system and reinstall! -

EricThere's no need to go to the store if you don't want to. You can purchase and download the new version from the Parallels web site. In fact if you want to try it out, I believe you can do the download and get a two week trial version. Later you can purchase the serial number to make it official.
I cannot be certain about your data, but I did not lose anything when I updated to Lion and faced a similar situation.

The phone was hacked to unlock it. It relocked when you updated. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. If you are not/never were an AT&T customer and you do not have an original store receipt from either an AT&T or Apple store in the U.S. for a no commitment AT&T iPhone, they will NOT unlock it.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you have no service on the iPhone. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There is one step you did not mention trying that i think is worth trying.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Remove the SIM card. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or if it's too big or small for the SIM tray, contact your carrier for a new one. Then reinsert the SIM card.

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.
