I've experience a concerning problem on Macintosh Mail
CONCERNING PROBLEM #1
I have sent sensitive emails that were received by the intended recipient, but were also by an unintended recipient.
It appears the unintended recipient intentionally made this happen in a pre-meditated manner by using receive Content Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=Apple-Mail-x-xxxxxxxxx (?)
As one example, the unintended recipient person sent a message containing this syntax :
"<[email protected]>" <[email protected]>
The result is that the two accounts got linked, and emails sent to intended recipient went to both intended and unintended recipients

Thanks for your help. I did it, and have also read some more on the subject, but the space still hasnt cleared up. Do I need to wait some more? How long does it take for the ssd to clear that unsued space? On the other hand I've read some posts saying that actually those Samsung 830 SSDs have some of the best garbage collectors and dont need to use trim, and that it can actually cause them to slow down? Is that possible?
Sorry for all those questions but I'm very new to the whole ssd subject
PS: Actually I just noticed that I think some of the space has been freed up, after a couple hours after enabling trim. Can it really take that long?

Character Set problem on Macintosh ...
Hi everyone,
I have a problem, on Macintosh only (I have not this problem on PC using the same code), when I retrieve a field of type VARCHAR2 (80), any accented characters are uploaded in their non-accented version. For instance characters 'é', 'è', 'ê' ou 'ë' will give 'e'. How can I get the accented version on Macintosh using the OCI ?
I guess I have not set up the OCI to interpret these characters correctly for the Mac or something like this ?!?

I have a Yamaha DGX220 Piano Keyboard and I have downloaded their driver. After downloading and installing there is no interfacing with the computer, it doesn't recognize the Yamaha Midi driver.
Does anyone of you out there experience the same problem? I have downloaded the Mavericks OS.. The Yamaha company thinks there is a bug within Mavericks that causes this no connection issue.

SERIOUS PROBLEM: Photos, Music Mail Messages, GONE!
Hello everyone, today I experience an unusual problem on my Macintosh, today. I restarted my computer, when Safari stopped working on me, and then I opened iTunes to discover that my library was damaged, and lost all of my music. Then, the same thing happened with iPhoto. Other files such as Word Documents, Excel Spreadsheets, and PowerPoint Presentations were still present.
I don't know how or why it happened, but I'm convinced that I had no intent of doing this. As a matter of fact, I never did this at all.
So how do I recover all of my music and photos?

Music: I managed to recover 62 out of the 217 songs and podcasts on my iPod. Now I'm trying to get all of my music, off of my iPod, to my iTunes library. Does anybody know how to get my songs from my iPod, to my iTunes Library?
Photos: Similar situation. I have my photos on in my iPhoto Library. I'm trying to get these photos back into my iPhoto application. Every time I try to import a picture from the Finder window to that app, I get this message: The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data). Then it shows me a list of these items that I could not import. I'm trying to use a CD to import get my photos into the application, and I'm not sure if this qoing to be very effective.

Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Is there a problem with Apple Mail using IMAP? Having a problem syncing to our mail server: doesn't sync properly when multiple devices use same mail acct. Spoken w/ mail hosting provider who says Apple Mail doesn't follow IMAP protocol properly leaving Apple Mail users to experience a variety of problems when connecting to IMAP accounts. Among them:
- Improper syncing
- Proliferation of drafts during composition of an email.
- Connections on the mail host do not close automatically and proliferate over time until the host rejects further connection requests.
Hosting provider goes on to suggest turning off IDLE command. In my experience turning this feature off did not improve the situation. In fact, it created a few.
Question: Is the hosting provider correct in faulting Apple Mail?
Been fielding the question with a number of people. I'm aware of three people who are experiencing similar problems, each using different mail hosts. Tech reps at inmotionhosting.com and nexcess.com point the finger at a Apple Mail, along with an IT specialist in Los Angeles, CA, and a tech support rep at an Apple Store in Arizona who said that Apple and Google mail are aware of and coordinating to resolve the problem.

Problems with icloud mail constantly auto-saving
Problems with icloud mail constantly auto-saving - screen freezes. VERY frustrating. running windows 8. same problem through safari, explorer and chrome. Any suggestions to reduce auto save frequency?

approx every 30 seconds the browser freezes and 'saving' appears in the top bar of icloud mail. The cursor starts spinning and then after about 8 secs I can start typing again. I also fiund that about 5-6 times a day my icloud browser tab showing mail just close and return to the main icloud menu page showing icons for mail, calender, notes etc -

Having a few problems setting up mail to exchange on a Nokia 5800.
We have the latest version of Mail to Exchange installed.
Were using Microsoft Exchange 2007.
Example serup of what we have done:
Mail to exchange - New profile - Input Username and Password of domain account - Input domain name - Chose Internet as means of connection -
The Nokia goes off and searches for the domain information, finds it OK. Shows a message regarding a server certificate, we chose to install this certificate this time only.
Phone crashes?

Depending on the customer feedback, it works fine. Apple Mail the client that comes with OSX supports standard protocols (POP3, IMAP, SMTP), these are all supported by Exchange 2010.
If you're running Mac OS 10.4 Tiger or Mac OS 10.5 Leopard, you can still use the Mac Mail App to connect to your account. However, you need to connect to your account without using IMAP or POP.
If you're running Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS 10.7 Lion, you can use the Mail program included with those releases to connect to your email account automatically using an Exchange account.
When you use Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS 10.7 Lion and connect using an Exchange account, you can use features that aren't available to users who connect through IMAP or POP, including iCal and Address Book.

I am having problems gettting my mail to work ... Mac telling me that my start up disk id full and to delete some files to free up space ... have done this but when i open mail from the dock it just brings up the colour wheel and nothing happening ... it shows when you right click on the mail icon that " application not responding"
If your hard drive is getting full, you need to free up, at least, 20 GBs of space on your iMac's hard drive.
If your Mac is running a fairly recent version of OS X, here are some general guidelines.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Other things you can do to gain space.
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it run the automatic ans S.M,A.R.T. tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the tabs that have the ability to clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.

Safari 6.0.2 problems with Yahoo Mail Classic "Compose"
Since upgrading to Mountain Lion I have had two problems using Yahoo Mail “Classic” in Safari 6.0.2 (8536.26.17).
First when composing a new message, the Formatting Toolbar is missing.
Second, contacts do not appear as I type in the To:/Cc:/Bcc: address sections of a message, nor does the address book if I click on To:/Cc:/Bcc:
All Yahoo Mail features work correctly with Firefox & Chrome, it seems as though Safari is the only browser with an issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a chance you might be able to get it to work by enabling the Develop menu in Safari's Advanced preferences, then selecting Develop > Disable Site-specific Hacks. I don't recommend it, though. Just use another browser for that site. -

iCloud is not supported on Snow Leopard or lower, why bother to mention it?
The OP has an iCloud account, and that can not be opened without Lion or Mountain Lion (on a Mac), IOS5 or 6 (on an iPhone/iPad)

With Yahoo Mail, and anotare account (Inacap Mail), I can only receive mails but I can't send emails. I don't know if this is a problem of the iPad or it is a problem with yahoo mail, because using Gmail and the email of my job I don' have this problem.
Google them to confirm the settings that you need for the outgoing server, then check the setting you entered on the pad. Pay real close attention to the outgoing server name, and port. You may need to change in on the pad.
