I've found an iPhone 5c, now what?
I can't access it, and it's not activated, so I can't make a call, or see any information about it, or get contacts.
Now what?

Why? Trying to find the owner.
The IMEI is printed on the device. Quick web search found the carrier. Quick phone call to carrier found the previous owner's record. Didn't take long, just can't seem to get a message to the owner. Working with local officer now who's off duty.
Why waste tax money to find the owner?

I've done a restore.. The phone was completely wiped back to factory settings.. It then tells me there isn't enough space on the phone to restore from back up? How when the phone is empty?!

If you just changed Routers, it is quite possible the Printer is holding onto its old IP Address, which is no longer in the smae subnet and not visible from the rest of your equipment.
You need to know what the IP Address of the printer is. Some HP printers will show you on a front panel, some can print it on a test page.

G3 imac HD found using firewire target - NOW WHAT?

I finally can see my HD in my G3-600 imac. Had the folder at startup and tried all methods to see the HD. I can now finally see it using FW target. I used Diskwarrior on it and copied all contents off of it. Tried starting up but still same folder at startup. NOW WHAT? Do I reformat? Is it the controller? Any help would be appreciated.

Well you got the info off so that's good. Were you able to graph the drive? any flaws?
If it looks good you should probably reformat it and check SMART to see if it's ok.
Then if all's well you could reinstall your OS but be aware it went bad before so it would be suspect as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry I wasn't trying to say you'd done anything wrong. I was merely reacting to previous people who'd posted with questions similar to yours. Also without knowing the details of your issue other then the "unable to restore" part. It's hard to give help, so I was just trying to learn a little more. Sorry if it seems like I was being mean. But having delt with others whom it turns out had done things to there phone I guess I assumed too much. I do hope that Apple is able to help.

Sim not supported,but was sent micro sim thats compatable with iphone ..now what?

Have iphone 4 with no sim card. so contacted vodafone whom i have a contract with and arranged to transfer my existing mob num to a micro sim card to use in apple iphone4 . Once received connected to itunes .. picked up the iphone but said iphone was in recovery mode and click on restore. I have done that loads of times now and everytime it ends saying your sim is not compatable. Rang Vodafone as was so cross as the sim also wouldn't work in my old phone either ! even when clicked into the normal sim sized card.
Anyway , that was yesterday and was told don't worry your micro sim isn't activated correctly yet ..remove sim .. wait 24hours ,put sim back in and it will work . well it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference except when i put the microsim back in old phone .. it now works on that!
can anyone tell me have i done anything wrong? ... do i need to download any software first ? Would it make any difference if itunes were already installed on home pc to under my partners name? .. I have tried installing itunes to link to just me but thats just reverting back to itunes already installed !

Where did you get the phone. An "unsupported SIM" message indicates the phone is locked to a carrier other than the one you are trying to use. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. DO NOT take it to a mobile phone shop that tell you they can unlock it. They can not legitimately do so. All they can do is hack/jailbreak the phone. This will void any warranty as well as forteit your right to support from Apple or on these forums. It can also cause stability and security problems and you will NOT be able to update the OS without re-locking it.

The update copied all my apps and content back to my iPad. Are all your apps on your computer's iTunes ? An iPad backup only contains your apps content and settings and not the actual apps, so for the restore to be able to work fully iTunes needs access to the apps. If you re-download them to your computer's iTunes you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that copies them and their content back to the iPad. I did not figure it out. Took my computer and time machine to the Apple store, they agreed that it would be hard for me to restore on my own (I'd lost contacts). Did you do a full backup of your old phone before you sent it for repair?
If yes, then restore your new phone with that backup.
If no, then all is gone and nothing you can do, except sync back your apps and music.

Deleted old iPhone update, now what?

I received an error message during the new iPhone update 1.1.1, and I read some of the discussions here about removing a previous iPhone update (iPhone1,11.1.1_3A109aRestore.ipsw) to allow for the new 1.1.1 update. I did that and the update worked, but I am not sure - do I need to keep that other update, or should I just toss it? Thank you!!
P.S. My update worked just fine after deleting the file above.

It won't do you any good to keep the old update since you supposedly cannot revert to it anyway. Trash it and empty the trash.

Bose SoundDock killed my iPhone. Now what?

At a hotel I plugged my old phone into this speaker set to listen to some tunes after a long flight. The phone came on and displayed a "This hardware is not compatible" warning with the only option being a "Dismiss" button. So I tapped that then the screen started freaking out, flashing, filled with garbage. I yanked the phone out and it seemed to sort of recover then the home screen inverted! Everything was backwards. I tried a few restarts and it seemed OK, then it would lose the roaming signal (I was in Spain). The battery was nearly dead so I decided to charge it overnight and try again later. Next morning the phone was very hot and completely dead. It would not power up and does nothing when connected to either of my Macs; they do not recognize it.
So any ideas what parts may have died? If it was just the battery it should still respond when docked. Can I send it to Apple for repair or are there better options?
This Bose thing seemed to have fried something. Unfortunately as it happened outside the US I don't think I have any claim against Bose. The phone was beat up but it worked perfectly til it met the Bose. Grr. 2G phones seem plentiful on ebay and craigslist but I would guess that most of them are stolen.

If it is under warranty, Apple may or may not replace it for you. The best thing to do is make an appointment at the Genius Bar - http://apple.com/retail/geniusbar and have them take a look.

All contacts on iPhone erased, now what?

I upgraded my iPhone to the 2.0 version, and I have mobileme. When I synced everything, I lost all my contacts. How can I get them back? I think I set up everything right with the whole mobile me push thing, but am not sure. My iPhone's settings under Mail, Contacts and Calendar do not show mobile me anywhere.

I had the same problem, then restored them from the Outlook 2003 backup -
Select File, import from another program or file, personal file folder (pst), choose browse, choose the appropriate backup file to restore. Good luck!
