You can only sync to one computer at a time, connecting to a new iTunes will erase your device.
To save your data if you have to switch, transfer your purchases and backup manually on that computer before your sync for the first time. Also set up at least one contact and event before you start.

There is no such thing as a "sub-account." Also, you probably mean iTunes library, when you say "account." Your "account" in iTunes is your Apple ID, which is what you use to sign in to the iTunes Store to make purchases. iPods are associated with an iTunes library, not with an Apple ID (iTunes Store account). You'll need to clarify...
So, this is what I think you are saying. You previously shared an iTunes library on a computer with your friend. Your old iPod was synced to that iTunes library.
You got an iPhone, and at that time, you set up your own iTunes library. Is that on a different computer? How does the iPhone affect your question about the iPod?
You got a new iPod. What is your "old iTunes"? Is that the iTunes library you shared with your friend?

Check you are logged into your store account properly (settings > store). Also check there are no restrictions set that might be causing this (settings > general > restrictions)

You can try drying it out internally by wrapping the unit in a paper towel and putting it in a bag with a dessicant safe for electronics such as silica gel pellets, or failing that in a bag of dry, uncooked rice, for a few days. It's very probable that it's been permanently damaged, but it's possible that if you dry it out, it may then work, though it won't be trustworthy since shorts and corrosion due to liquid infiltration can appear weeks later.
If after a few days in the bag it still has problems, or you don't want to take the risk of it failing later, then you'll need to pay to get it exchanged (by Apple; the price will be relatively low if you have AppleCare+ coverage) or repaired (by a third-party repair service which will void any further support from Apple) or buy a new iPhone.

Well, assuming all of the above, Notifications, etc., it just might be time for a visit to the Apple tore genius center for a session with the techs. See if it is a fault in the hardware or just an iOS reinstall is the answer.
One more thing you could try, backup so you have a record of content, then restore to factory conditions be an Erase All Contents and Settings. Then restore from the backup you just made. That has helped some with WiFi problems, may be it would work with your problems.
But with that behavior of another app with problems, the geniuses looks like a less stressful thing to do.

Yes you can sync them to another computer or to the same one, but since it will effectively be a new iTunes library, you will be prompted to transfer purchases or erase and sync. You can transfer your purchases to get the content back on your computer, and this article will help with that.

As far as your calendars, contacts, reminders and notes, if you you are not already using icloud, I would sign into iCloud and sync that content to the Cloud so no data is lost.

The implication here is that the other computer belongs to someone else, along with the content on it.
Since you do not own this media, you have no legal right to it.
If you want the media, purchase your own copy.

Have you copied your content over from your old computer and onto the new on ? If not, and you still have your old computer, then there a number of methods described on this page which you can use to copy your library over : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 . If you no longer have your old computer then have you got a backup of your content that you can copy onto the new computer and add into iTunes ?

it is an itouch, i buy apps from the app store, they are purchased, they show up in my app section but when i try to sync them to my itouch they do not show up in on the itouch. i have tried to atuthorize and deauthorize the computer also few times, rebooted computer and still nothing. when i restore the firmware and have everything reinstall all over again the apps music and such, all show up. however if i buy a new app and try to sync it with the itouch it does not show up despite the fact that the computer states 'installing "......" whatever app. it happens with numerous apps, there is no rhyme and reason to why certain apps just do not show up on the itouch. the authorize/deauthorize deal does nothing to rectify the situtaion. any other ideas ?

- The iTunes backup that iTunes makes included photos in the camera roll. If yo go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices what is the date of the backup? Is it when the photos were on the iPod? You have to restore from that backup.
- What may have happened is that you backup the iPod after you restored the iPod but before restoring from backup. iTunes only keeps one backup and overwrites the previous backup with the changes.
