I've had it, contacting PSC
Today is the 8th time this month my service is out. No service on November 1,2,3,4,5,6,16 & now the 18th. Customer support is extremely limited, if the answer is not on their list of steps, they have no idea. I have had intermittent outages for 3 years and they have NEVER sent a tech. I am tired of spending an hour on the phone and getting nowhere. You can't speak to anyone in NY for help. Tonight, after doing MULTIPLE reboots, the rep told me a technician would resolve it within 24 hours. When I called back 10 minutes later, the supervisor told me that they were not able to run any tests and that they basically do not do anything until 4 hours have passed.
I left Time Warner because it was cheaper to go with Verizon, but you get what you pay for. Thank God i have the 3g ipad, just have to pay an EXTRA $25 this month.
I just can't deal with this anymore. Of course, I can't find an email address to contact Verizon so, sorry for the rant but I needed to vent.

All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps. If some apps were downloaded with one Apple ID and then a new Apple ID is created, in order to download an app update that was installed with the original Apple ID requires using that Apple ID and password. -
good morning. my hard drive crashed a couple of weeks ago. I had my contacts on Icloud. Once i was up and running I transferred the contacts from icloud to outlook.
now I have NO contacts at icloud and as a result lot all on my phone and ipad.
Help.I have tried to copy back, I restored my phone to earlier backup and nothing????
any suggestions i am lost without this information. It appears on my PC but NOT on phone or IpadThat doesn't answer my question, do you know how to use Outlook? if yes please tell me which account these contacts are in.

You do that by looking in the left sidebar, finding the contacts and then reading the group they are in. Personal Folders or Exchange or iCloud. Take a screenshot and post it. -
I had a Note 3 and had 220+ contacts. While I had it I performed a factory reset several times and always got all of my contacts restored. My phone was upgraded to Note 4 at my job yesterday. I completed a factory reset on My Note 3, turned it into my IT department and received my Note 4. My phone had since only has 72 contacts (it was 56 then 76 and now 72). When I run the Verizon Cloud app it will display an error code 4600. While in the Verizon Cloud app, if I open detailes about contacts it states there are only 5 contacts. i did use the Backup assistant on the Note 3 but that app is not found on the Note 4.
I went by the Verizon store yesterday, the rep stated that she needed the old phone (it was wiped),

Let's see what we can do to get them all over to your new phone. Have you had a chance to view your contacts via your My Verizon page? Once you have logged in, please hover you mouse over the My Verizon Tab, and click on the View All option at the bottom of the pop up.
Once the page loads, please view the options on the right hand side. Under Additional Actions, please choose Manage my Contacts and Media.
Do all of your contacts appear there?

I had a contact added mistakenly as an iphone contact now it tries to send imessages to that contact instead of a regular text, any help?
Something doesn't make any sense here, because iMessage ONLY works between you and anyone using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5, you couldn't iMessage someone that DIDN'T meet those requirements, if you wanted to. Are you positive this contact does not meet the requirements to iMessage?

When I first signed up with iCloud (and still had Mobile Me), my contacts all double or tripled, or more in my contact list. When I went with Lion and fully integrated iCloud, that issue resolved itself. I got a new iPhone yesterday, and when it was up and running, everything was fine. This morning, I notice that my contacts are all duplicated again. My personal contact is in my phone 10 times. How do I resolve this? My iTunes sync setting does not have me syning my contacts, it should just be in iCloud. Thanks for any help.

Can anyone help me restore all my old contacts please?
I bought a new phone for my Daughter, set it up to my iTunes account as she is only 11 and all of my contacts synced to her phone, so we went in and deleted them all, problem was, they deleted off my phone over wifi apparently,,, not good I can't find a way to get them back
ThanksYou did more than sync the new iPhone with iTunes since syncing with iTunes does not include text messages.
The first time a new iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or set up the device as a new iPhone.
The former replaces all data on the iPhone that is included with the selected backup for the other iPhone or iOS device. The latter does not.
If a backup for your new iPhone was not created with iCloud or if created and has been updated since the backup was transferred from the other iPhone or iOS device, the previous data on the new iPhone is gone. -

My wife has recenlty lost her audiobooks and apple have put back into her download section the books but there are several missing and they are not on itunes anymore after contacting apple they have said theres nothing that they can do has there not avaiable ? surely thats not right any purchases made on itunes are yours to keep forever and you can delete them and re download them for free , worst thing is shes not even listened to them . Why have apple said they wont refund her for the cost of the apps which are nolonger downloadable ?

That is NOT true. iBooks, yes. Music, yes. Ringtones, no. Audiobooks, no.
They were good enough to allow her to re-download the ones that are still in the store. That's more than they were obligated to do. Backing up media and other content is your responsibility. -

What were you syncing your contacts with? iCloud? MS Exchange? Gmail? Yahoo? A contact app on your computer? If the answer is "none of the above" the only hope is to restore the most recent backup of your phone from either your computer or iCloud.

Emails are not lost.
Are these contacts managed by an add on or extension? It is possible that the add on may not be compatible with the Firefox update.
