I've installed PS SC6 trial version but I cannot open "Classroom in a Book" DVD on my mac book pro. Any ideas what the problem can be?

Sounds like it could be a problem with the optical drive. I would recommend keeping an eye on your Superdrive to see if you experience any additional failures. If you can read the disc on another computer then copy the contents to a USB drive.
I ran into a similar issue with my Superdrive. It eventually got to the point where it could no longer read any optical media. At first though it was only particular discs which it failed with.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Either get a screen cleaning cloth, or carefully us a slightly damp lint-free cloth and dry off with a dry link-=free cloth.
As to Flash Videos: I am in a similar same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube and FaceBook for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine.

Even without the serial number, you can use PSE for 30 days as trail and then activate the product later.

I installed the photoshop CS6 trial version and got an error.

I installed everything without a problem and verified my adobe acount but when it tells me to sign in an error pops up that says: "Please connect to the internet and retry."
But...I'm connected to the internet and there's nothing wrong with the internet that would cause a problem for signing into something. I even tried restarting my laptop and signing in again but got the same error.
What should I do?

1. Nope, I'm not on a managed network. This is my personal computer onto which I'm installing software.
2. This thread is about CS6. I have just bought the CS6 Production Premium suite, and have (per support chat instructions) attempted to install both the full and the trial versions. I've followed all the instructions on the website listed in post #1 here, and have followed all the suggestions of those on chat support.
3. I have a sufficiently-powered computer (i-7 Intel processor on Windows 8 with 8 megs RAM), and have attempted the installation on both wired and wireless connections, with and without firewalls and antivirus software enabled. I can do everything I want with my computer and internet connection except get past this sign-in screen.
Google "please connect to the internet and retry" "adobe" and you'll get thousands of hits, a whole lot of them having to do with CS6. Has Adobe recognized this as a bug anywhere?

Installing Indesign CS6 trial version in wrong language

I downloaded a trial version of InDesign CS6 on two separate computers (with two different operating systems) and selected Dutch as the language. When the software is installed, it is in the wrong language, namely Danish. How can I fix this? I obviously don't speak Danish.
Some assistance would be much appreciated, I need to make assignments for a course I am taking at the moment.

Are the systems set to Dutch? Trials use the default system language. Beyond that I can't say much. Could be a bug/ glitch.

Have used Firefox for a long time and now it will not boot up and I get message saying cannot initialize security component. Have uninstalled and re-installed Yahoo optimized 5 version and still the same.

The only thing I have done different in the past few days is to install trial version of Bitdefender Total Security and I used the PC tune-up feature for PC clean-up and registry cleaner. That seems to be the point I could not loner use Firefox.

I have Firefox 3.6.6, and now that Firefox 4.0 is available, it crashes constantly. Sometimes less than 5 minutes after I open it. I have a Mac 10.4.11, so Firefox 4.0 isn't an option for me. When I asked Ff to check my plug-ins it said there was an error and to check back later. Twice.
Because I didn't have any (any) problems with my Ff before the upgrade became available, I am forced to question if Ff has done something to make the earlier version crash so you'll upgrade, but I can't afford to upgrade my Mac right now.
In the meantime, I do need a browser that works! I dislike Safari, Chrome is also not available on Mac 10.4.11, and Explorer is just plain not available on Mac.
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix my Firefox 3.6.6?

Downloaded setup then after reboot wont open firefox what am i missing (tried to delete older version and still wont open

i had tried to update but older version came up then i tried to delete older version - and i downloaded the setup again but when i had to reboot the computer nothing happened and nothing was loaded ( i have loaded it on my laptop with no effort!!) i feel i must be missing some step but as i go through the wizard it all ends when it asks me to reboot!!

I have Adobe Acrobat installed and recently updated and just downloaded Adobe Reader, which is running, and still cannot open a PDF.

Nothing happens. I get the same screen that tells me to download the computer.

You'll need to right-click, download the pdf and use File>Open from within Reader. That combination is not supported any more. Chrome broke it.

Actually, you're not. That's not an accurate description of any of the Canon 5D models.
There are EOS 5D, EOS 5D Mark II, and EOS 5D Mark III models. Which do you have, specifically? Details will matter for this.
If you have a 5D Mark III (three) it's too new and you will not be able to directly open files with Photoshop CS4. You'll either need a newer version of Photoshop or to use the free DNG converter.

Installed Win 8.1 update 1 and still cannot open Linksys Smart Wi-Fi EA4500

I am running the EA4500 Router with IE11,Windows 8.1 update 1-64 bit,12GB memory,1TB HDD. At first I could not view my router's settings via IE11 because I received an alert that it neded to be updated. I switched to Google Chrome and everything worked ok. This was before installing udate1(KB2919355). Sometime later,I received the same error message for Chrome. I immediately updated it and it worked. I have updated IE11 and it is not working. Has Linksys updated its routers to recognize updated browsers? Thanks.

There is no uninstalling IE11 and reverting to IE10 on windows 8.1, IE11 is the lowest
BTW I also notice that so called "Smart Wi-Fi" is identifying my Windows 8.1 as a Windows XP device

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. As a follow up from my recent question, I turned off the compatibility mode under all and regular, clicked out ok, ok then then went to itunes and played a song as they said to, and then tried to open the store and STILL CANNOT OPEN STORE, please Help!!!

Turning off the compatibility mode by deselecting the check box under each thing that it wants did nothing for my access to the itunes store, still a white page with "itunes store" in the middle of it. This is getting rediculous! Someone with computer smarts please help, I am at the end of my rope!

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

This is a Windows setting. In Windows 7 you can change it through the Control Panel: Either Start>Default Programs or Start>Control Panel>Programs>Default Programs>Set Associations
Find .pdf and change it (click Change Program) from Microsoft Word to Adobe Reader. Browse to find the Reader application if necessary: Program Files>Adobe>Reader11>Reader>AcroRd.exe
