I've just got an email that came into my junk folder asking me to reset my account is this spam?
It claims there was suspicious activity as there was a log in attempt from an unknown device then provides a link o enter my data, which I haven't done, why would apple be asking for my credit card details?
It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message to Apple.

If it's asking you confirm anything or in any way provide personal information, then yes, it's almost certainly a scam. See:

Just delete the message; do not reply to it or provide any sort of personal information through any of the links in the email. You can sign into your iTunes Store account directly through iTunes and confirm that nothing has changed.

I just got my ipod stolen, I requested to do a remote lock. I got the email that it got locked, meaning they connected to the internet. Can I see where they got connected?
Since the lock was successful, the dirtbag who stole it will not be able to do anything with the iPod until it is restored as new. Of course that means you will no longer be able to locate it.
Its last location may be reported, if the WiFi location it used to connect was known. -
my 9 year old used my password to make a purchase that she thought was $0.99 and it was really $99.00 and I just got the email. It tells me that this purchase is not eligible for a refund so am I screwed?
If the iTunes Store has replied to your request and told you that they cannot refund your money, then yes, I'm afraid you're out of luck as regards this purchase. To prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on your iPhone. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case the child gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately. I think my granddaughter bought a $3.99 app after I put the password in for a free app. I just got an email from my credit card confirming the purchase. How can I find out what she purchased? Can I get credit for it?
The password is good for 15 minutes to make purchases. You should receive a receipt in 24 to 48 hours for the purchases. There is a link to Report an issue. You could use that to start a conversation with iTunes Support about a refund.
Apple considers all sales final. But has been known to offer a one time refund. So the question is, do you want to use your one time refund on this purchase or one more expensive in the future? -

My iphone got stolen yesterday night, I activated lost mode but the phone was off and couldnt be tracked, today i just got an email about the last place the phone was found yesterday night, its off again, i went there but they said that nobody has found an iphone, police does not do anything also, what should i do?My iPhone was stolen. Straight away I used the findmyiphone app. No surprise that the phone had been turned off, rendering the app totally useless.
I thought its ok, I've got a pin code. My brother then goes on to tell me that they are easily bypassed.
My brother states that if you put an iPhone in dfu mode, connect that iPhone too iTunes
That iTunes detects the said phone is in dfu mode and does a system restore.
Wiping the phone and giving the Theif a brand new iPhone!!!

There have been a number of phishing scam emails going around for at least half a year...do not respond, click links, or do anything with that email. Apple does not operate that way.

I just got a warning that the Itunes that I just downloaded (10.6) could impare or destablize my system- I have had Itunes on my computer before but when I plugged in my Ipod it told me I needed to uninstall Itunes and reinstall itunes all together. Now I don't know what to do. I have a Sony computer that runs on Windows XP and then I have an Ipad, Iphone, and Ipod that I sync everything with What do I do? Do I continue installing? I'm having the exact same problem. It does not seem to be a settings issue but rather some sort of "problem" with mac mail. My Exchange provider was able to setup my mailbox on a test machine running Mavericks and everything pulled in fine, however I cannot duplicate on my upgraded system.
I was able to get rebuild my mailbox and get the older messages within my Exchange inbox, however none of my folders and old messages outside of the Inbox are downloading/synching.
**NOTE** I contacted Apple SUpport and they told me to call my email provider. I called my email provider which did as described above and they don't see a problem. SO as suspected it has something to do with the Mavericks update but I'm not sure Apple is willing to help. I might try contacting them one more time and see. -
