An Apple Tech have helped me by mail and solve my issue. Below, the copy of the mail :
Can you try resetting the SMC on your Mac ? Please follow the instructions here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
I have also pasted the instructions below for your convenience:
Before Resetting the SMC
Try each of the following steps in this order before you reset the SMC.  Test the issue after completing each troubleshooting step to determine if the issue still occurs.
Press Command + Option + Escape to force quit any application that is not responding.
Put your Mac to sleep by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosingSleep. Wake the computer after it has gone to sleep.
Restart your Mac by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Restart.
Shut down your Mac by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Shut Down.
If your Mac appears to be running normally but isn't responding, force the computer to shut down by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. Note: You will lose any unsaved work in any open applications.
Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
In case this does NOT work, then try this:
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Ummmm no it didn't.  iOS only runs on iPhones, iPads and iPods.

  • I just installed the free trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is not allowing me to freely convert a pdf to a word document????!!!!

I just installed the free trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is not allowing me to freely convert a pdf to a word document????!!!! Why is this? Does anyone have this problem?

When you report a problem you should always try to include as much relevant information as possible. Saying "it doesn't work, help me!" is not very helpful to us, because there could be a million reasons for it not working... What exactly happens when you try to convert a PDF to Word? Are there any error messages? How exactly are you trying to do it? Also, what operating system do you use? What version of Word? What exactly version of Acrobat? etc.

  • I have iWork 09 with a family license. I am unable to install the software on my new Macbook Pro (the message is simply "Installation failed"). I wonder if I need to remove an old computer from the family license, and if so, how?

Yes, gladly. I am trying to install on a 13" MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.3. I insert the disk into the SuperDrive. The I work '09 window pops up with two icons: one Tim install and one that says "Read before you install iWork." I double-click on the "Install iWork '09" icon, and a window appears that says, "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed." I click "continue" and see "Welcome to the iWork '09 installer." I click on "Continue." The "read me" bullet on the left lights up, and I see "Read before you install. . . ." I click "Continue," then see the software license agreement. When I click on "Continue" again, I am asked to agree, and I do. The window then says, "Standard Install on 'Mackintosh HD" and indicates how much space the program will take.
I click "Install," enter my password, and the installation begins. It goes through a validating phase and begins "writing files." It indicates that installation will take about 30 minutes (although that number fluctuates). After about four minutes it goes to "cleaning up." Then after just a few seconds, the "Summary" bullet on the left lights up and this message appears: "There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again." There is a large yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, and a bold "The installation failed." Below that appears "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
At that point, a "Close" button is pulsating blue at the bottom of the window.
Sorry for the tedious detail. Anything revealing there?
    Thanks!

  • I just replaced the hard drive on my macbook pro, reformatted new hard drive and copied over a backup from time machine now I have a kernel panic message (you must restart) - what do I do now?

i just replaced the hard drive on my macbook pro, reformatted new hard drive, installed a back up from time machine and now have kernel panic ( you must restart your computer) what do I need to do?

If you're able to boot, launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select the most recent panic log under System Diagnostic Reports. Post the contents – the text, please, not a screenshot. For privacy’s sake, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don't post "shutdownStall" or "hang" reports.
If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all.

Such as? No PPC programs will work. That has been well known for over six months as Rosetta was finally droped after the phasing out of PPC program support over the last 5 to 6 years.

  • After installing OS X Yosemite Recovery Update Version 1.0 15/04/15 Macbook pro has very slow start up

After installing the OS X Yosemite Recovery Update Version 1.0 on the 15/04/2015, my Macbook Pro is very slow at start up . I have an Macbook Pro 13 inch Mid 2012. i5 2.5GHz cpu 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3, 512GB SSD as main system drive.
Before the update as soon as I would switch it on, I would see the Apple Logo, then the screen would go to users log in. Now after update, when I switch on, I will get a blank white screen for up to 60 seconds or more before going onto the Apple logo.
Can anybody help with this, as the reason I came over to OS X was the speed of it. I might as well go back over if this Macbook Pro is going to be as slow as a Windows laptop .
Any help to get my speedy boot up back, would be grateful.

  • Just installed new 10.8.5 update and my 15" MacBook Pro display is now turning off on it's own.

I installed the Mountain Lion OSX update today, and I saw in the notes that this update was supposed to address an issue with the retina displays just shutting off, which is a problem I have not had with my new laptop. Now mine IS shutting itself off, and no amount of button punching can turn it back on before it wants to. My MacBook Pro is a 15" build 12F45, 2.7 GHz i7, which I purchased only in August. The screen just goes black at any time, pretty much every few minutes!!! *** APPLE?!!!
I am a designer working on 2014 products, and this is a VERY crucial time for me. I am so frustrated, not only did the iOS7 update completely ruin my iPhone 4S, which has NO battery life anymore, (is it because of the LAME paralax effect always running? - plus I consider the interface intensly ugly) but now I'm going to be put out of buisiness?!!! C'mon APPLE!! I've only owned apple computers and products since 1998, and I'm thinking I may be FORCED to change now since there is an obvious and serious problem with the integrity of their OS updates as of late.
Whew, now that I've vented, is anyone else having this problem? Any idea how to fix, short of uninstalling and re-installing EVERYTHING from an old backup BEFORE this latest update?

    Step 1
    Reset the System Management Controller,
    Step 2
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • I am having trouble installing the Sims 3 on my macbook pro.

When I try to install the Sims 3 base game, the installer comes up as it should... but when I try to proceed a message comes up saying the power pc application is no longer supported. My macbook runs on the OS x mavericks operating system, does this system not support the Sims? Someone help please!

Either the installer or the game, or both, are written for Apple's pre-Intel machines. If I were you, I would contact Electronic Arts and see if there is an update to the version that you have.

  • When installing the new OS Lion, do you need to reinstall the programs currently on your Macbook Pro such as Photoshop and Lightroom?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks

It depends how you do it. If you do the auto update - i.e. you download Lion and let Mac OS do everything for you, then the answer is 'No'. It will try to install all apps that are compatible with Lion.
However, that may not be the best way to upgrade, especially if you have a lot of legacy material. I wrote a post on my blog about upgrading which you may want to consider: http://applehelpwriter.com/2011/10/17/upgrading-to-lion-the-golden-rules/

  • Just installed the latest iTunes software update and the extra images i had for my albums on iTunes have disappeared...Help?

Just installed the latest iTunes software update (iOS 5.0.1) on my MacBook Pro, and the extra images i had placed on my album covers in the selected item box have disappeared, leaving just one image per track. Any ideas on how to restore would be most appreciated...

Installing an iTunes update does not remove your media or personal files.
Are the files actually missing off the computer, if so, you have a serious computer issue... not a software update issue.
Regardless, use the backup of your media and other important files to put everything back.  You do have a backup, correct?

  • Help I just installed the latest update on my IPhone4 and now I can't open any of my stored podcasts. When I hit the podcast icon, the screen goes white for a second and the goes back to the opening page with all the icons. What happened?

Help! I just installed the latest update on my IPhone 4 and now I can't access my podcasts. When I hit the podcast I on, the screen goes blank for a second and then opens to the home screen with all my icons. What happened?

Try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously you see the Apple logo and then release.
