i have just reset my iPhone 5 and now when I open the App Store it says "cannot connect to app stpre" "cannot connect to iTunes store" I have googled what to do and everything it says to do I've done... My wifi connection is fine (that's what I'm using as I write) I'm about to sell my phone tomorrow thats why I reser it so I need to fix it what do I do

Try to reset all setting on your phone and see. If issues still persist try to back up your phone using iTunes and restore it using computer.

The living issue is complex in my case. Legally speaking, I have no personal residence globally. I just live wherever my father goes, which is everywhere. I'm an expat and it seems that these sites aren't really expat-friendly. They seem to be built for localization and assume everyone stays in the same place.
I don't know what I'd be considered. I'm a US passport holder and live in China, but I only speak some Chinese and I can't read it (it using non-latin characters is just too much for my mind's memory to handle). Besides that, I'm not interested in popular Chinese apps. They tend to just be annoying and kooky and generic and put together badly, often full adware and spyware (speaking for most Chinese software, in fact). In fact, a lot of apps I want are illegal in China (YouTube, Facebook, etc) and I use a VPN to use the services. I assume I wouldn't find these apps on the Chinese store. In fact, last I checked, there wasn't many English apps on the Chinese app store. This is probably due to their strict moderation or something.
I've been going to international schools since I got here and college would be in English too. I can speak some Chinese, but not read it.
Well, I guess the answer is that I can't use the App Store in English. So I guess I'll just sign out everything on my phone involving my Apple account and just start using third-party tools to do my business. -
I have updated to IOS 8.2 and now I can not update my apps?
I can not update apps after having downloaded IOS 8.2. Need assistance to fix problem. Only way I have been able to work around is by updating by using itunes and connecting my phone to my MacBook Air.
So when you attempt to update, all you set is a spinning circle? What troubleshooting have you tried? User troubleshooting steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. I doubt you will have to go that far. But you can start with the restart, which is just powering the phone off/on. A reset is holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Test after that. Are you able to get into the App Store and search for apps or anything else?

I seriously have tried everything, from turning it on to plugging in the charger... It WON"T TURN ON and I am freaking out.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost). -

Just updated my iphone. Now I can se I have two! iCloud accounts? One of them appears on my phone, and I have forgotten the password. When I try to add the other account, I get the message that this account is already added, but with the name of the first account where there is no available password. I have tried several times to reset the password, bun I don't get the information I need - I have no access to email. What can I do?
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

I just upgraded my iMac to OS 10.8.5 from 10.6.8 and now I can not get the calendars on my Mac and my iPhone 4s (running iOS 8.3) to sync. I already tried replacing the calendars on the phone with those on my computer but nothing happened.

Only the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Sounds like the phone was hacked to unlock it originally. Find out what carrier it is locked to, and look up their contact information using google or the search engine of your choice.

You'd only get that message if iOS 7.0 Beta was installed on this phone. There is no fix. Either return the phone for a refund, or give it back to your boyfriend & have him get it fixed. -

You need to use the credentials for the iCloud account that was used to turn on the Find my iPhone service.
If you can't remember yours, you can recover it here: https://iforgot.apple.com/appleid
If you've been walking around for 2 years with someone else's account set up for Find my iphone, then you'll have to get hold of that individual. If you can't, there is no way to bypass activation lock. -

Welcome to the Support Communities!
With the Mail app open on your iPhone, notice which email account is showing in the top left corner of your screen. Tap on that mailbox and you should be taken back to the main MAILBOXES window. See the picture below:
If you tap the Edit button in the top right corner of your screen you will see a list including "All Inboxes" and "Unread." Make sure there is a blue circle with a checkmark to the left of all of these.

Hi all, just downloaded a security update on my new iphone 4S. The phone may be more secure but all the Aps icons have been downgraded in art quality why would this be. Before the download the phone looked the business definitely high end quality now it looks like a second rate cheapo. Please advise how to get the smart Aps icons back. Best regards SuttertonSteve

I presume the Mods are Apple sentinels but am I really a Troll just because I made a criticism of the new iOS version (even though I did not know I was actually doing that). Am I a Troll to you because you personally disapprove of criticism of the new iOS or is Troll used by the community to describe anyone who speaks up if they are not happy about a change.
