Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

I cant see the camera access on the lock screen , I just updated my iphone 4 to IOS 5, anyone nows why??
I've repeatedly had problems with my Yahoo! account on iOS 4 too, and I've had to delete it, then set it up again. It kept asking for my password, though the phone had it memorized, and when I entered it, I'd get the same error message about no password being set. Could be the Mail app has a problem with Yahoo!, because on my MacBook Pro too, the Yahoo! account sometimes gets locked out.

Annoying glitches since IOS 8 + the update have rendered my iPad Air nearly unusable.....way too frustrating & annoying with many glitches plus some functions just go way too slow or even worse - don't kick in at all.....necessitating a reboot.....(especially with sending emails.....need to power down / power up to get emails to be sent way too often)......stopped by the apple store the other day.....they did their "thing" ( a reset + whatever)......told me I was now good to go & all problems should have been solved / fixed......was in a rush, so didn't really test the fix until later in the day.....same problems remained....no fix whatsoever.....
some videos in various "formats" won't play now......keyboard disappears while doing almost every "google" search.....the list of glitches goes on & on.....apple & I part ways now unless this is resolved soon.....will stop by the store one more time over the weekend & give them 1 more chance....& will "test" it in the store this time before believing whatever they say & leaving......also, never happened before - an incoming facetime call was never received the other day......my friend sent a screenshot of her history of calls to show that she tried when I said that I had not missed any calls...... -

i just upgraded my iphone 3gs to ios 6 not sure if it updated but now when i turn on my phone it says automatically that i need to connect it to itunes using the USB port but when i connect it it comes up as new hardware and cannot find a program/software for my device even though i have the latest itunes on my computer. i have tried reinstalling itunes but it still cannot find my phone and now i cannot use my phone as it is stuck on the sync to itunes screen

Hi guyz just fixed mine just now, I used an app named iREB please refer to the below link. Make sure youre iphone is plugged in to your USB then launch the app as admin. As soon as the app is running go to the "Recovery Mode Loop Fixer" tab & hit the "Set Auto-Boot True (Fixes 1015 errors / Recovery Loops). It will restart your iPhone in just a moment & get you back to your homescreen.
I hope this will help those whos undergoing this horrifying iPhone problem.

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.
