I've just upgraded to Lion and now iTunes can't connect to the iTunes store.....??

I've repaired Keychain, re-installed iTunes and it still won't work.....
Please help.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

    That was a widely publicized fact, it is a good idea to always check compatibility before upgrading. Your options are to go back to SL or find another app.

    It all worked perfectly prior to updating the iPad 2 to OS7.

    Are there any work arounds?
    Can I uninstall OS7 and go back to OS6?
    Rediculous thing is I can connect to iTunes on an old PC of the same age

    A laptop that lasts five years indicates a long lived product strategy.  Where they go wrong is to prevent backwards strategy when someone genuinely cannot live with ios7 like you. even the "unsupported" downgrade has now been blocked.
    Don't go windows,  you will not get five good years from a dell or an asus. If you can't buy Mountain Lion for it,  get a new macbook, enjoy.

    I bought mine in the US and activated using a German SIM.  It worked fine first on 6.0.1.  After upgrading to 6.0.2 the SIM does not work.  I have reset the reset the phone and still does not work. I loaded a new SIM and the phone worked for few minutes before going to Searching mode after I restarted the device.  I am being told by the Genius Bar team that this is a Hardware failure.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

    You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi.     I had been holding off upgrading to Lion because of the bad press, but discovered that I could no longer receive email on my Mac because my iPhone had been moved to iClound by an Apple tech when it had to be replaced, and my Snow Leopard version wouldn't support iCloud.  So I upgraded to Lion and immediately began having trouble.  First I was told that several of my software applications were incompatible and had been removed.  Then I discovered that Safari (apparently the latest version 5.1.3) had lost functionality.  I can't attach anything to my emails and the search window is grayed out and inoperable. Is there a fix or do I need to retreat to Snow Leopard?  Bob Kellam

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    As Guest, test. Same problem(s)?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
    Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
    Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
    Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on some Macs.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
    After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.) Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

I have an AppleTV, an iPhone 4S and my MacBook Pro so it just made sense.  But now, I was in the process of downloading a season of a TV show that I purchased earlier today and it still had about 15 episodes left to go and it now says "iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable, iTunes is unable to check for downloads" Any help would be appreciated!
