An iOS device cannot be tracked without an internet connection. All you can do is physically look for it. Your camera roll photos are included in your iCloud backup. Should you be unable to find the phone, restoring the backup to another iPhone (or iPod touch) should recover them. Bear in mind that Apple will delete iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to access the backup before then.
You can also access photo stream photos from the last 30 days by setting up iCloud on your computer and enabling my photo stream (see https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/).

You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. You can only track it if you turned on Settings > iCloud > Find My before it was lost/stolen, and then registered it in iCloud's Find My Phone service. You must then log in to iCloud, click Find My Phone and see if it shows up. If it is turned off, not connected to the internet or been reset to factory condiditon it will not show up. There is no way to track it except in that way.
Report it to the police, insurance and cell provider in case the will blacklist the iPhone so it cannot be used.
Change your passwords for accounts on the iPhone.

Even if he did hear the sound, there is no guarantee that the other end will receive it. There have been times in the past when my wife has sent me text messages that I never received. Heck, before we were married, I sent her a letter via US Snail that she never received. There is no guarantee of delivery for text messages or email, although email does tend to be more consistent that text messages (and cheaper too).

'iphone cannot be activated as there is no SIM in the phone

Itunes upgraded my phone to the IOS5.1 yesterday in the middle of it, it said that there was an rror and that i had to restore the phone
which i did via itunes..it restored no prob to a screen with select language/select region etc then plug it into itunes to activate it and get error below
'iphone cannot be activated as there is no SIM in the phone' well there is as i was using it and txting 10 mins before this happened.
I have been reading up on ths and it seems like a known issue however i must stress that this phone has had no jailbreaking done to it..i dont know what that is or even how to do it...so im left with a phone that wont activate as it says there is no SIM in it..its very frustrating..i hope some of you guys light be able to help me out.
it is a 3gs iphone and it is with 3 network in ireland.
ive upgraded itunes to latest..ive restarted comp and unplugged all other usb devices etc..same result each time!
Can it be saved or is it done for?!! im 2 months out of 12 month Apple warranty too just to make things even better!!

SO, do I delete the app off of both the old 3g phone AND the imac, then reinstall on ONLY the imac, then re sync? OR, should I delete off computer, repurchase on computer then re-sync with new iphone4? I realize this is kind of roundabout, but the issue I ran into was too much stuff on my old 8GB 3G, and I was stuck on iOS3 FOREVER (couldn't upgrade to iOS4) soooo, I deleted a whole bunch of piddly apps from the phone ONLY, which then allowed me to update to iOS4 (on the 3G). Then, I could sync (which I did, but obviously not everything transferred, b/c when I synced the new 32 GB iphone 4, there are particular apps {doodle buddy and groove, my tap fish...} that are missing the in app purchases, but these are still on the old 8GB 3G). Was the iPad already on iOS 8, or did you have to update the iPad to it ? Just noticed that they should have been pre-installed on devices with iOS 8 already on them which are 32 gig or larger (prior to iOS 8 they were only available as free downloads, they weren't pre-installed on devices) - so if your iPad had already had iOS 8 on it then they should have been on it : Free Apple apps for your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iOS 8. I can't see anything that says that it's specific to particular countries.
If you go to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and tap on 'iPad App Collections' and then on the next screen tap 'Apps Made By Apple' they show with a price there as well ?

Sounds like malware, and taking advice from scamming sites. You will need to do scans with multiple and up to date tools.
Incidentally I would not suggest you try any manual hacks or edits of the Windows registry. (Once rogue files are removed any residual registry entry will not normally do any harm.)
If you need to find the profile you do not need Firefox open, and probably would normally not try to navigate to the profile with Firefox (although that may be done).

You need to use multiple and up-to-date tools as they will not all pick up the same things.

8330 not pushing my GMAILS to the phone? something is wrong- Please help-- i have tried everything!

PROBLEM: My 8330 is not pushing my gmails to the phone. i get 1 out of 4 messages pushed to the phone. i re-sent service books, i deleted and re-added gmail to my bb (thru BIS). I deleted the gmail off my outloook as well from my PC.
I downloaded GMAIL for blckberry from Google and that works but i like my gmail to be combined in my inbox.
I need a blackberry expert help on this.
VERIZON support has not been able to solve this.
ADDITIONALLY the gmail filter for duplicate messages is not working on my blackberry either, meaning the messages i send from gmail.com or from my BB come back immediately as duplicates.
I have had 10 blackberry's so i am not novice, PLEASE HELP!!

Are any of the emails you DON'T receive being received in your Outlook? In other words, is there any correlation between your missing BB emails and those you do receive in Outlook?
IF you are using Outlook to download your email to your desktop PC, Outlook is likely "deleting" mail from your email server when it downloads it to your PC.
There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on Server".
For MS Outlook 2003:
1. Outlook > Tools > Email accounts > View or Change existing > next.
2. Highlight the email account > Change > More Settings.
3. Advanced Tab > Leave a Copy Messages on Server
4. Check that box.
* You will need to perform this edit for each Outlook email account you have.
Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting although it might located in a slightly different location in the :advanced settings.

Help!! Unlocking iphone 4 but itunes does not recognise my sim

SSomeone help before I go mad!! Got an iphone 4 that is sim locked to Tesco/O2 mobile. I contacted Tesco to get it unlocked and they eventually sent me an email to unlock the phone (This is after I waited 8 days and I contacted them to find out they put "gotmail.com" not "hotmail.com" don't ask!) The email says to put in any sim apart from a Tesco and O2 one, so I put a Three sim in then connected to ITunes. For some reason though it comes up that "it is not recognised as a supported activation sim" ???? Anyone have any ideas?? I contacted Tesco and they have no idea and told me to ring back tomorrow....
