I've lost my Keyboard predictions

I update OS 2 to 2.0.1.358 & my Keyboard predictions stopped working.
Tried turning keyboard predictions off & on in the keyboard settings, rebooting the playbook, then rebooting holding the volume controls & power button with no luck. Any suggestions?

You can also try the three button reset. Hold down the Power Button and both volume buttons at the same time for 15 seconds and then wait 1 minute then hold the power button only until the red light flashes then release it and wait for the PB to reboot which will be about 4 minutes.

I've lost some keyboard commands and can't get them reset!

I seem to lost some keyboard commands in Photoshop CC. For example... I used to be able to use the Spacebar to temporarily access the Hand Tool - no matter what tool was selected. Now it doesn't do anything. I used to be able to use "Command + Spacebar" to temporarily access the Magnify Tool. This no longer works either. I've reset Default Preferences with no luck. I've also looked through the Keyboard Shortcuts & Menus screen, but it will only let me use (or change) a single keystroke to access a tool. What happened to the ability to TEMPORARILY ACCESS specific tools? I can still use the keyboard combinations mentioned above on my computer at home, but can no longer use them on my computer at work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You said, "I've reset Default Preferences." Are you referring to Cmd+Opt+Shift? If not, try that reset: Close Photoshop. Now press and hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift as you initiate Photoshop startup. Select "yes" when asked if you would like to reset.

Reset Keyboard Predictions & Suggestions?

Does the keyboard predictions and suggestions feature have a memory? If so, I would like to reset it but can't find anything about it in settings or in help to indicate whether or not this can be done. It seems seems to have a memory and suggests odd words, non-words or even websites based on past history to the exclusion of other, more likely, useful words. I've tried turning the feature on and off, doing a hard reset, etc. but am wondering if I have to do a complete wipe of the playbook in order for it to reset. Thanks!

You can delete predictions one by one. Start a blank email and begin typing a predicted word you want to remove. Then touch and hold the predicted word until a window opens asking if you want to remove, then select remove.

Lost the keyboard backlight, use of my USB ports and camera shows as disconnected. How do I fix this?

Please help. I'm still a MAC rookie.
I unplugged my Pedometer from one of the USB ports on my Macbook Pro. Ever since then, I lost the backlight to my keyboard. I did some troubleshooting on these discussion boards and found a few with similar issues, but most of the discussions were old and the solutions were out of date. As one of them advised, I checked to see if my Isight Camera was still connected and it wasn't. I also tried plugging a few different things into both USB ports and neither of them worked either. So whatever caused this, it's affecting all 3 of these things. I don't know if my Pedometer is old/bad and it "short-circuited" the USB port and everything else along with it when I unplugged it or if something coincidentally went bad at the same time that I removed it.
I read some old answers from the discussion boards where they suggested a Command (R) system recovery reboot. But I also read that that really doesn't help on newer operating systems. I am on OS X. Here is my Hardware Overview:

I did recently purchase a backup drive and I THINK I previously backed everything up properly. But, I can't even plug that into the USB port now to see if I

Might have lost a keyboard screw for x201

i think i might have lost one of 4 of the screws securing the keyboard. It doesn't make a difference, but these small things bother me lol. I saw on ebay a lot of screw kits for the x200 but none for the x201. My question is, do they use the same screws at least for the keyboard? I don't think it would be practical to call warranty for a little screw would it? lol

the x200 and x201 uses the same screw and parts.
warranty won't send out the screw to you unless it is them that caused this problem.

Iphone keyboard predictive/auto-correct

Is it possible to add the predictive word list like that of the android keyboard to the iphone.

Apple felt it better (and I agree with their design choice) to have iPhone auto-correct to the word that is the closet match to what you're typing and if it's wrong make you ignore the auto correction...as said above, iPhone will learn your short hand or abbreviations over time and then begin to auto correct to them
There is no feature that will pop up several word choices and allow you to choose and no App I know of in the App store either...
It's a matter of personal preference but I wouldn't like having to choose, I like the auto correct and me ignoring if I don't like it...to each their own...

Suddenly lost wireless keyboard, why?

I suddenly lost my connection with my wireless keyboard. Batteries OK. If I try to find ANY bluetooth device my keyboard shows up in the list, but pairing isn't possible. If I want to try to connect via setup and choose for keyboard it stays searching for it without succes.
Is my keyboard defect? Is there any way to control if it's broken? Any help welcome!

Like many others, I’ve had a lot of trouble pairing my Apple wireless keyboard w/ my computer (a G4 laptop) via Bluetooth. It usually works, but sometimes when I restart my computer I loose my Bluetooth connection. I go the Bluetooth Device Set Up, select Keyboard or Any Device, reboot my keyboard, select my keyboard, but after Assistant says it’s “gathering information about your device” I keep getting “The pairing attempt was unsuccessful…” !!!
I’ve repaired permissions, restarted countless times, deleted bluetooth plists, updated wireless keyboard firmware, changed batteries...
Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Connection Lost with keyboard

My PPC iMac G5 keeps saying "connection lost" with a keyboard displayed. The keyboard has new batteries, is paired, and connected. When this occurs no key on the keyboard will work. I can occasionally go to a text editor and get keys to work and then it's OK for a couple of minutes, then "connection lost" again. Does anyone have any thought as to what the problem might be?

I have a Imac 27 also, OSX 10.6.7
The imac is about a year old..
Everything worked perfektly untill the FIRST BATTERY CHANGE.. (about 5 months after imac was bought )
the keyboard and the magic mouse is making a really hard time for me to do my work...
however, i had this issue for a while now, and apple dont wanna do anything about it..
butthe stranges thing is that,.. for about 3 months ago the magic mousestop doing the connection lost thingi..and works perfectly as normal..(strange)
and now only the keyboard is doing it (batteries in keyboard and mouse allways 100% when i talk about this issue)
so.. bougth an Imac.. everything worked fine.. after 5 months keyboard and mouse starting to flipout..
and about 4 months after that the mouse is fine but keyboard is till flipping out! ( without me making any changes )
Still apple dont seem to care about this...
However i recomend "The Lightbulb conspirisey" - Docymentry film.
It is clear to me that apple is still using PLANED OBSOLESENS in there products,,
and they have no intrest in making sustainable products...
Making economic profit is way more relevent on apples agenda then making sustainable products..
I thought i was paying alot of EXTRA money for the apple products to get the perfection i need..
But noo, they are just masking the usual "PLANED OBSOLESENS" wich is a KEY ingrediens for expanding industries.
And i am very sad that apple dont give a F**** about atcually caring about people. rather then screwing them over...

I have lost my keyboard shortcuts with the new ios software

How do I get my keyboard shortcuts back after downloading ios6

This is what I did step by step and it worked like a charm... I had an iPhone 4 when I did this a few days ago. I have documents and data ON in iCloud...
1. write down or take screenshots of all existing shortcuts
2. delete all shortcuts
3. backup to iCloud (I think this clears all shortcuts you have stored in iCloud)
4. go back to settings-->general-->keyboard... You may notice one or a few generic shortcuts pop up on their own. The one that popped up for me was OMW (on my way)
5. re enter all of your shortcuts and phrases
6. when done, back up again to iCloud (stores your new shortcuts)
I restarted my phone. Shortcuts still worked. I just got a 4S and restored from the iCloud backup mentioned in step 6 and my shortcuts worked on my new phone.

Well, if this is the case, you should have indicated this in your original post. Leaving out those details and wording it like you did lead me and others to belive that you upgraded the hd and ram and then started to have this problem, which doesn't seem to be the case according to your last post.

Honeycomb keyboard predictive text only showing names...

Ran a search for this topic and found nothing. I have a Honeycomb tablet (Lenovo IdeaPad K1) and the keyboard is set to show spelling correction suggestions (I'm a terrible speller) but its only showing names of people in my contacts, its not showing all the words that would be derivatives of whatever word I've started typing like my phone does. What gives? Is there some setting buried somewhere I can't find to get it to work like the spelling correction I'm used to. they way its working now its basically useless. Thanks.

if you tap on the text bar where you type teh message, it should come back up, if it doesnt, you might want to reset the phone by holding the sleep/wake button on the top of the phone and the home button on the front for about 10 - 12 seconds, if that doesnt help, you may want to do a restore on the phone. you can follow this article iTunes: Restoring iOS software

Although all settings are proper as far as I can confirm, I have lost all keyboard clicks and alert sounds. Neither airplane mode or DND mode is on. Ideas?

Sounds have disappeared, keyboard clicks, swooshes, etc. and all settings seem OK with no airplane mode or do not disturb. So what is going on?

Found little switch above volume buttons on side of phone and switched it to right and sounds came back. Never used that switch in 2 years, barely see it with phone case. But that's what it's for!
