I've never had trouble with iTunes until itunes 11. I'M ANGRY.
here's what happened:
today i was going through my iTunes music, getting rid of old songs (deleting them from my computer and "hiding" them in the cloud apparently)
then, all of the sudden, almost 1,000 of my songs were magically deleted and it showed i only had 300-some songs in my itunes library (i had over 2,000 before this happened).
so then, i went into the itunes store/my account to see what the heck was going on and i click on my account and it says i have like 900-some purchases "hidden". i didnt "hide" 95% of these songs. SO WHY DID IT DO THAT????? then i, stupidly, tried to transfer all my 2,000+ songs from my iphone to my computer and that didn't work at all. THEN, i look in my trash on my computer and ALL of those songs were in there!!!! I DIDN'T DELETE ANY OF THESE!!! what the ****, itunes?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
if anyone knows what is happening, please give me some advice...

I don't have a definite answer, but by any chance do you have your hard drive encrypted? (e.g. Windows BitLocker, or a third-party full-disk encryption package)
Playing my iTunes media files on my laptop used to work perfectly. Ever since the full disk encryption software was installed, my music skips & buzzes (and sometimes just plays more slowly, which is really weird) whenever the files don't get decrypted fast enough. That's usually when other apps are also accessing files, maybe there's a disk access priority scheme that doesn't work as well when it has to funnel through the decryption driver?
Also, although my symptoms are occurring on a rotating disc drive, I've heard that there are some compatability problems between the disk encryption packages and the SSDs.

I just got a new Classic 120GB and it is great but I can't get the alarm clock to work...when I set a time for the alarm clock, it doesn't seem to remember this time but it instead defaults to an hour later than the current actual time...I tried several times to reset the alarm for a minute or two in the future so I could test it and see if it made any sound...I have reset the ipod and the normal time and date display is correct. I also can't get the beep sound to work, although I can hear the clicking when you scroll through things and so the internal speaker is clearly working. I used my old Ipod Photo for years as my alarm clock and I never had a problem with it...anyone have any idea how to fix this? I have the most recent ipod software, am using an older 17" G4 powerbook running 10.4.11. is there something obvious I am overlooking?update: I can get an alarm message (you have an alarm) and a choice to dismiss or "snooze" but the internal speaker is still not kicking in and obviously a silent alarm is not ideal in this instance. When I try to hear the "beep" under tones, it doesn't make any sound but bounces me back to "sounds"...I can hear the clicking when scrolling and so the speaker seems activated but is muted somehow for the alarm. My old Ipod had a nice little alarm sound and I was hoping to use my new Ipod as an alarm clock as well...not a life or death thing, but I can't figure this out and I have read everything I could find. Help!

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup

Then restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

it all started when i installed itunes, which i have never done before on this computer as its new (second hand , but i mean new as in wiped clean)
i downloaded the latest itunes software from the website, and everything went smoothly. when i dobule-clicked the icon on my home screen, a 'apple itunes software liscence agreement' window popping up, it had 'save as' 'agree' and 'disagree' buttons, naturally i clicked 'agree' the window went away, but nothing (even 30 minutes later, with the computer untouched) happened. frustrated i repeatedly opened it up, again and again, only to be greeted by the same window, and same blank home screen. even connecting my ipod wont force it open, changing cables wont work, and uninstalling seems a very distant probmise to fix this error. HELPP MEEE! I am nothing without my beloved ipod!

I've never had problems with iTunes, but I recently moved to a SSD and now music skips.
Howdy all. I've recently replaced my Analog HDD with a Solid State drive, (Samsung 840 250GB) which is so much faster, but only problem now is when listening to iTunes, I notice serious skipping. I have reinstalled drivers for chipset, audio, optimized the BIOS, yet still experience skips while under processor load, and also when system is only playing audio. I had no problems with this prior to the SSD and all was solid. I have uninstalled iTunes, rebooted and reinstalled to no avail. I'm running a Dell Latitude E6500 with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz with 4GB DDR2 667. The SSD is a Samsung MZ-7TD250. All else on the machine is rock solid. Any advice on this? iTunes version is 11.0.4.4.

When I try to open a link from an email it gives me a choice to open but when I choose open it won't! I used to be able to click right on a store or anything and it would open connect to the store. Very strange

Never had issues with itunes. However, currently unable to up-date to 10.4 version. It tells me to enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'tunes.msi' in the box below. Can't find this. Should I remove itunes and re-install all together? thanks
I have already had to remove Bonjour with the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility due to another common error when running the install
You're already well on track, then. Launch CleanUp again and remove any iTunes entries this time. Quit CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. -
Just attempted to download current update of Itunes into my HP computer with Windows 7. I've never had trouble before but now it will not run. Runtime Error R6034 an app has make an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Itunes Error 7
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I am having all kinds of trouble with itunes and updating my ipad. I open itunes up but it doesn't do anything except open to a blank screen. I try to access the itunes store but it won't go there. When I connect my ipad, and try to update it, it starts and then I get a message that says backup cannot be saved on this computer. I have tried everything suggested to no avail. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I have had problems with itunes. Sometimes I even get a message that I am not connected to the internet.
I have uninstalled and re-installed. Any help?You might not have enough space left on your hardrive.

McAfee SiteAdvisor is no longer working with my Safari 8.0. I never had trouble using it with Safari before this latest version. Has anyone else had this problem? I contacted McAfee support and they said nobody else is reporting this issue.

Never had trouble before with my incoming mail but just now getting messege that says the user name or password for verizon is incorrect yet my home computer is fine only have this od my iPad
I experienced same problem tonight and called Verizon technical support and they walked me through the settings on iPad. Took about 5 minutes. Basically it involved changing incoming.verizon.net to pop.verizon.net and changing outgoing.verizon.net to smtp.verizon.net. But it's worth the call to ensure other settings are OK. Evidently, change at Verizon was effective today!

I had trouble with a iTunes download. Two songs of an album were not complete. I contacted iTunes and they redownloaded the tunes. My iTunes now has the complete copies. The trouble is my iPhone will not accept/sync the complete copies. It will only play the original incomplete copies of these songs. I've made new playlists and made sure I had the correct items checked to backup/sync. Still only the incomplete copies are played via the iPhone. What's up? What can I do to get to the iPhone to sync the correct version?

- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

i just got an ihome system and had trouble with it connecting to my iPhone. I finally got it to work and now my itunes doesn't recognize my phone. My software is up to date on both my Mac and my iPhone and I have shut everything down and restarted. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -
I just got the iPhone 5s, I have had a 4 for the last few years, my husband uses a galaxy. I have never had issues with any of our phones connecting to the cars Bluetooth until this one sometimes it will connect and sometimes it won't. I drive a gm car. A friend of mine drives an Acura and said she is also having the same problem? I have to connect the phone every time I get in the car.

Started having trouble with iTunes so I uninstalled everything and tried to reinstall but it says ' iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes.' Well, I've uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times. Now what?
I figured it out. A week ago I had downloaded a screensaver from a website I trusted and that's when my problems started. I uninstalled it but that didn't help. So, I reinstalled it then used an uninstall softtware app that cleanns more than the control panel does. Then I used a computer cleaner to be sure everything was wiped clean. And it worked. I downloded iTunes for the 7th time in 2 days and finally it worked! And I lost nothing from my account.
