I've noticed several messages stuck in my outbox.

I've noticed several messages stuck in my outbox.  I haven't received any kind of error messages.  I have to gmail accounts that this is affecting.  Sending from my iPhone works, but not from my macbook pro apple mail client.  Ive tried rebooting mail, rebooting the computer, and renewing the DHCP lease to no avail.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hi docloco,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that have messages that are not sending from your MacBook Pro. I understand that this is happening to two different gmail accounts. This makes me think that it is not an outgoing username or password issue, but maybe an outgoing mail server issue. I suggest confirming the outgoing server settings with the following article. You can confirm the settings on your computer in Mail > Preferences > Accounts.
Mail Settings Lookup - Apple Support
https://ssl.apple.com/support/mail-settings-lookup/
If the settings are correct and the issue continues, I suggest using the article below to isolate the issue to get it resolved.

I hope this helps,

  • I have two messages stuck in my outbox

There are two messages stuck in my outbox.  Nothing has changed in my server configuration which I checked.  Should I delete them and start again?

Mail uses a mail Receiver and a mail Sender. They are fairly independent. The settings for one can be fine while the settings for the other are a mess.
    Mail > Window > Connection Doctor ...
... will give you insight into whether this is a connection (and therefore a configuration) problem.

  • Why is my MM Message stuck in my Outbox?

I have a Nokia 6230i. I have constructed a text message and inserted a jpg photo, size about 20KB. When I press send it asks for a number, I supply it and it goes to the Outbox, where it stays. How can I get to send (transmit) it? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you sent MMSs previously with this handset & SIM?
Sounds like you need to get the settings again from your network / service provider.
If they have a decent online system, they should be available from there... if not, try the Nokia site, or give your operator a call.Message Edited by richcowell on 10-Jul-2006

  • Messages stuck in Outbox in Outlook

We are running Exchange 2007 SP1 and Outlook 2007 SP2.
We are increasingly recv'ing reports of users having messages stuck in the Outbox folder of their Outlook client. The messages are also visible in OWA, although the strange thing is that the messages do seem to have been delivered.
There seem to be a multitude of posts about this issue, but nothing concrete - does anyone know if MS has found a fix for this?
    I can see this:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948984.
    However, it states:
"In this scenario, when you log on to the online account that uses this personal folder, the Outbox folder indicates that there is a message that is waiting to be sent. This message is visible only in Outlook Web Access. The message is not visible in Outlook 2007"
    - The difference is that we see this in Outlook 2007 as well.
    Anyone?

    Hi Yoshi,
    1. Would you please let me know whether your customer has same scenarios described by the KB (Move Sent Items from OST to local PST file) when the issue occurs?
    2. Whether the issue always occurs and can be reproduced? If the issue can be reproduced, please let me know the steps which reproduced the issue
    3. If the issue can always be reproduced, please let me know whether the issue occurs if you use OWA to send email or use Outlook Online Mode to send email.

  • Exchange 2013 Messages Stuck in Queue

    Hello,
I have an Exchange 2013 on-prem serer.  I'm noticing that certain messages get stuck in the queue.  They report back errors of "451 4.4.0 SMTPSEND.SuspiciousRemoteServerError; remote server disconnected abruptly; retry will be delayed".
It seems to be random.  I've sent messages to a domain I've seen with messages stuck, and mine work.  When I log the send connector it really doesn't show me much.  Can anyone give me some leads?

    Hi rmicha9682,
Agree with Gareth, it seems to be a firewall issue.
I have seen this issue caused by the SMTP Fixup protocol when using TLS encryption.
I recommend you try disabling SMTP Fixup and check if any helps.

  • Outlook 2010 - messages stuck in Outbox

    Hi All,
I'm wondering if you can help? I've seen a lot of forum posts regarding this issue and gone through several steps people found to resolve it. Unfortunately in this instance these steps failed to work.
    Problem:
350Kb email stuck in outlook Outbox (Exchange non cached mode)
    OS & Software involved:
Mail server: Windows Server 2008 R2 running Exchange 2010 14.01.0438
Client: Server 2008 R2 (Remote Desktop Services)  Running Outlook 2010
    Steps Already tried:
» Disabled Antivirus fully and tried deleting
» Removed the attachment from the offending email and tried to delete again.
» Attempted to drag email to new folder but it fails saying message doesn't exist. It may of been moved, removed or access is denied
» Disabled all Add-ins & Tried running outlook in safe mode
» Enabling Cached Exchange mode, allowed to build OST & using Work offline method
» Attaching to users mailbox and deleting from another user
» rebuilt the users outlook profile
When I look at the properties of the outbox (Properties » Folder sizes). It shows the file is still there on the server
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this has happened a couple of times for this user now.
    Many Thanks,
    Jon

    Hi,
Have you tried using MFCMAPI tool to look at the Outbox of your mailbox? If not, please follow the steps below to check the result:

    2. Go to Session > Logon
    3. Select your profile, the default profile name is Outlook.
    4. Double-click on the problematic account.

  • Message stuck in outbox - won't send

I've tried rebooting, switching airplane mode on and off, and several times now I just go back to the mailbox and the message is stuck in the outbox. The progress bar shows "sending 1 of 1", and the progress bar shows 100%, but the god damned message is still in there. I know the server is working because I just sent a test message to myself from Outlook 2003 through the same account and received it.
edit: I just tried switching to airplane mode and then powering off and on the iPhone. I checked the mailbox while still in airplane mode, then went to settings and turned off airplane mode and reconnected to WiFi and my network. Then I went to mail again, and the same thing happened. It looks like it is sending the message, but the progress bar just stops once it is completely full, and the message never sends.
PLEASE HELP! This thing is driving me NUTS! And of course it figures it would happen with one of the most urgent emails I've ever needed to send! HAHAHA!
    Mike

Does it work, if you change the outgoing (SMTP) server from tge GMail server to your network operator's SMTP server?

  • Yesterday I downloaded Lion. It looked really nice. I then noticed several of my programs that worked flawlessly in Snow Leopard STOPPED working. One of them was my SilverFast scanning software.A new version would cost $450.00. I am going back to Snow Le

I downloaded Lion yesterday. What a nightmare.
Before even using it, I noticed several of my programs would not work with Lion.
My Appleworks 6 program was dead as well as some other programs that I had been using for yrs. I have a dual core iMac.
If I wanted to open any of my Applework documents I had to open them one at a time and resave them with pages. This could take weeks.I have 1000s of apple work documents.
This was only the tip of the iceberg.
I needed to do some scanning for a client. Well, low and behold my Silverfast scanning software for my Microtek 9800XL would not work.
I went to the SilverFast web page looking for a download to fix this. No such luck. If I wanted to use my scanner with Lion, I would have to purchase a newer version for $450.00.
Then I went to the Microtek web page, nothing there. I called Microtek and they said they were working on the problem but couldn't tell me it would be available.
I called Apple customer support. The person I spoke with, Scott, was able to help me. The solution. I will get a refund doe Lion and for $16.00 they are going to send me Snow Leopard on a disk. Problem here is I have to reformat my drive. I have a full back up with Time MAchine, but he wasn't sure if I would lose some of my programs when this was done.
Am I dealing with Microsoft? This was a BIG surprise to me that Apple would release an OS without testing all programs.
Given my love of Apple products, I own a lot of Apple stock bought it when it was $45.00,This new OS is a real disaster.
If you are going to use Lion, I would be careful and call Apple first before downloading.
I also asked Scot what would happen if my computer crashed and I had no disk to reinstall. He said some Apple stores are selling Lion on a flash drive.
I believe this is one way for Apple to make ore profits at the cost of the consumer. Apple has more cash on hand then the US government.
I never expected Apple to do something like this. This is something Microsoft would do as they alwasy seem to rush their new OS without fully testing it.

If I wanted to open any of my Applework documents I had to open them one at a time and resave them with pages. This could take weeks.I have 1000s of apple work documents.
You don't have to open and re-save every AppleWorks document you have right now. Just wait till you need one, then do it. The documents aren't going anywhere.
Am I dealing with Microsoft? This was a BIG surprise to me that Apple would release an OS without testing all programs.
Frankly, it is not Apple's responsibility to ensure compatibiltiy with every piece of software available for OS X. That is the responsibility of the software vendor. Lion has been available to developers for several months before it's release, so Microtek had plenty of time to update their software. Yet they did not. How is that Apple's fault? I think Apple was very generous to give you a refund for Lion.
I'm not trying to belittle your frustration but I do think your ire is misplaced.

  • I have an IPhone 3; when i checked my messages earlier some had been deleted. Upon looking at the settings i noticed my message settings have changed! I no longer have the option of how long to keep my SMS messages etc. Can anyone help?

I have an IPhone 3; when i checked my messages earlier some had been deleted. Upon looking at the settings i noticed my message settings have changed! I no longer have the option of how long to keep my SMS messages etc. Can anyone help?

The iOS settings for the iPhone 3 never had an option to determine how long you wanted to save messages. That settings is new to iOS8. As far as some being deleted, there is nothing about the phone that should delete messages without some user intervention. Try a reset on the phone, this will not affect your data. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.

  • ABAP Outbound Proxy: some messages stuck in CRM system

    Hi all,
we've a strange issue with a ABAP Outbound proxy we've generated in our CRM 5.0 system (asynchronous interface).
Sometimes messages stuck in the CRM system. They are in status 'Scheduled' (green flag) in SXMB_MONI in the CRM system. When I have a look at the corresponding queue, there's no message within. Status in SMQ1 and SMQ2 is fine, too. All queues are registered. When I reprocess such a message manually in SXMB_MONI in CRM with the restart button, they're sent fine to XI.
Please note: it's NOT a general issue with that outbound proxy. In most cases the messages are sent immediately, just in some cases the messages stuck and I don't know why.
Is it possible to restart such messages automatically? I just know the report RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES, but that one just restarts messages in Error status. But the ones we have aren't in error status so they cannot be selected with that report.
Any idea where could be the problem / we should check?

  • Mails/Alerts-triggered for messages stuck in queues and failed in moni

    Hi,
    I have two doubts.
    1) Messages are getting stuck in smq2 of my ECC and PI system. I have to manually push them. Is there any mechanism in which we can get alerts/mails when messages get stuck in queues.
I have already gone through the blog /people/santhosh.kumarv/blog/2009/05/19/sap-xipi-alerts-for-queue-errors and I have implemented it in ECC system. But no mails were generated.
2)Is there any method in which I can get alerts/mails when a message fails in sxmb_moni of ECC system?
    Thanks and regards,
    Siji

    Hi Sanjeev,
I made a report with the following code in it and executed it. So I think that should work even if the job for it is not scheduled. There were messages stuck in queue. But no alert was generated. I had also created alert category in ECC.
    Thanks and regards,
    Siji

  • TNEF Issue - Winmail.dat or messages stuck in submission queue

    Hi guys,
I've looked around the forums and have found people that have had submission queue issues when they set TNEF to $null or $false, and have found that the unified answer is to set TNEF to $true.
I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
I have both issues. If I set TNEF to $true, I encounter the winmail.dat file problem. If I set TNEF to $false or $null, I encounter the submission queue issue (submission queue states "A transient storage failure occured", and users get a queue
expiration bounce). Neither of these states are acceptable. I cannot have messages stuck in the queue only to be expired, and I cannot have recipients in remote domains failing to receive attachments in emails.
Does anyone have a possible workaround that might resolve this particular situation? It seems that this has been an issue in Exch 2010.
    Current Environment Configuration:
I am running Exchange 2013 SP1 Standard on both of my CAS/MBX servers, running on Server 2012 R2 patched to the latest updates. I have an inbound spam filter, but mail outbound is not filtered, therefore the spam filter on our side should not play a role.
I do have not made any changes to the exchange default malware filter either. Other than this issue, mail is flowing correctly and as expected.

I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that all the remote domain's recipients would receive winmail.dat files when you send the message to them if TNEF is set to $true, right?
The Winmail.dat file is used to preserve Rich Text formatting. Outlook uses it when sending a Rich Text-formatted message. During transport, the content of the message may be changed, preventing the receiving client from being able to read the formatting
instructions. In other cases, the receiving client does not use or recognize the winmail.dat file.
I recommend that you refer to the following article to solve the issue:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278061
Method 1: Change the default message format
The sender can change the format of the email messages that they send by using the following steps:
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click
    Mail Format.
In Compose in this message format, click to select Plain Text, and then click
    OK.
NOTE: To send to certain recipients that use RTF format and others recipients that use plain text format, the sender must set the option for the recipient in either the Personal Address Book or the recipient's contact record.
Method 2: Modify the recipient's entry in the Personal Address Book
The sender can use the following steps to remove the RTF format from the recipient attribute in the Personal Address Book:
On the Tools menu, click Address Book.
In Show Names From, click the Personal Address Book.
Select the addressee that you want to set as plain text, and then click
    Properties on the File menu.
In the SMTP-General tab, click to clear the Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange rich text format check box, and then click
    OK.
Method 3: Change the specific contact format
The sender can use the following steps to set plain text in the recipient's contact record:
Open the recipient's record in the Contacts folder.
    Double-click the recipient's e-mail address.
In the E-Mail Properties dialog box, click Send Plain Text only under
    Internet Format.
Method 4: Set the Outlook Rich Text Format Internet e-mail setting
In Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, click Options on the Tools menu.
    Click the Mail Format tab.
    Click Internet Format.
Under Outlook Rich Text options, click either Convert to HTML format or
    Convert to Plain Text format.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks.

    Niko,
The Winmail.dat issue is only part of the problem, as described in my original post. For these messages (which it's a different set of messages every time, and it's becoming impossible for me to track them all down), if I set exchange or outlook to encode
the message in Rich Text, the message gets encoded and sent to the recipient. Some of our recipients will reject the message because it is rich text, others receive a winmail.dat file.
However, if I set exchange to not encode messages (TNEF= $false or $null), the message becomes stuck in the submission queue and eventually times out with an error resembling "Storage Transient Failure".

  • PI RWB-Messages stuck in Delivering Status

    Hi Experts,
    PI 7.1
    Scenario: Proxy to Mail (Outbound)
    QOs: Exactly Once in Order
We are facing problem while sending messages to receiver.
Messages are stuck in Delivering status and the messages followed by them are going into holding status.
Messages in Delivering status has no audit logs.
Issue has started couple of months back. We took restart initially to rectify the barrier but it is happening again. This is repetitive issue and we are looking for permanent fix. Restart is not preferred resolution as it is a production system.  Please suggest how can we overcome it? It would be a great help.

    Hi Hardik
I've blogged about this issue recently. Please check out the blog:-

  • JDBC Driver: Messages stuck in processing started at rwb

    Hi,
I have ABAP Proxy (7.1 EHP1) -> JDBC (MS SQL Server) scenario.
I'm trying to do INSERT_UPDATE.  The interfases works fine for the first 5 messages. If I check the DB I see rows inserted correctly, but the first five messages stucks in processing started, and the others JDBC messages stuck in Pending to be delivered The interfase is developed as asynchron, i'm not affraid in the response.
I tryed to do just an INSERT, send just one message, or change the isolation level. But the messages continues stucking in processing started status.
One of the lasts possibilities is transform the interface to sync  or increase the max number of threads of queue "JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/SystemRecv" via ConfigTool. But I can't stop the j2ee stack until next weekend.
    The audit Log:
    - The message was successfully received by the messaging system. Protocol: XI URL: http://sapdev:51000/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI Credential (User): PIISUSER
    - Using connection JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.
    - Message successfully put into the queue.
    - The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.
    - The message status was set to DLNG.
    - Delivering to channel: CC_C0400_IM01_MES_INTEG
    - JDBC Adapter Receiver processing started, required QoS ExactlyOnce
    - JDBC Adapter Receiver Channel CC_C0400_IM01_MES_INTEG:  processing started; party   / service XXXXXXXXX_DES.
    - INSERT INTO  XXXXXXXXXX_TST (CodArticulo, Descripcion, EAN13, Vidautil, bolsasporestuche, estuchesporcaja, estuchesporpalet, gxu, UNISTK) VALUES (XXXXXX, XXXXXXXXX,              , 270 , 1, 0 , 0.000 , 1000 , KG)
Maybe is a problem in DB side, but the experience tell me that is more inestable a SAP PI than MS SQL Server
    Any Idea?
P.S. In the same PI is coexisting diferents JDBC interfaces that works fine. I have tried to use their channels but still stucking.
And this is not my first PI :P

    Hi Xavier,
have a look at the documentation of this option:
    db.autoCommit=NO|YES
Use this parameter to deactivate the logical unit of work required by the JDBC adapter to guarantee that the data in the database is consistent. This option is required for JDBC drivers that do not support transactions. To avoid data inconsistencies in the database when the logical unit of work is deactivated, ensure that multiple database transactions cannot access the database simultaneously.
    The default value is NO.
Do not set this parameter to YES if the JDBC driver supports transactions, that is, if the system does not display a corresponding error message during normal operation.
    Netweaver Documentation
I'm sure MS SQL Server JDBC Driver is able to support transactions. By default the whole message will be treated as one transaction against the database.
