I've purchased 20GB storage and I've lost my existing free 5GB. Why is that so? Isn't the new 20GB to be added onto the current 5GB, totalling up to 25GB ?

You only bought 15GB of additional storage. The storage amounts Apple lists are the total ones and include the 5GB of free space.

You need more storage space on the iPad itself - not in iCloud. You wasted your money npbuying that extra storage. iCloud storage is for backups only. It's not like having an external or cloud storage solution where you can off your content and bring it back when you want to.
Go to Settings>General>Useage>Storage and look at your movies, TV shows, photos, apps. You can delete content in there to make more room on your iPad for the movie.

Movies are saved on your iPad storage, not iCloud, so you won't be able to download the movie if you haven't got enough space on your device. Open Settings > General > Usage, and delete things from your device. Contact with Apple if you want to get a refund > http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact

The error you received is referring to storage on the phone. You purchased iCloud storage which has nothing to do with the storage on the phone itself. Connect the phone to iTunes and the computer and update that way. Then you do not need to download the iOS to the phone and unpack it.

I can help you for the future. Regularly back up your computer to an external hard drive (or cloud alternative). If you have your library backed up, it could be reinstalled on your new computer. In your current situation, you will have to reload all of your CDs as syncing of non-iTunes purchased music is only one way (Computer to iPod)

To cancel an iCloud storage upgrade within 15 days of buying:
Apple have made this as difficult as possible. If you use Express Lane you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare. However julia22 managed to find a way round it - please see this post:

The problem is not that your iCloud storage is running low, it's probably the memory storage on your ipod. The only thing you can do is begin deleting files that you don't need - especially large file like videos. You can't add more memory to a device.

The iCloud storage is meant for your backup, you do not get more space on iPhone.
You can by connecting to computer iTunes for update then you will not have space problem

I'm uable to purchase extra storage for my icloud. Is anyone else having this problem. I've tried on my iphone, ipad and on my laptop. You can't use a gift card for purchasing iCloud storage. Debit or a credit card only.
