I've purchased the photoshop/lightroom CC monthly package and It won't download, plus, to add insult to injury, i've just checked my bank account and they have taken 2 payments out of my account. One yesterday and one today, i'm really not happy about this, to be honest I've had nothing but bother using  every Adobe product i've bought.

    I am new to Creative Cloud - and this forum, etc.
    I purchased the $9.99 / month deal that Adobe is offering to new customers, etc.
    Downloaded everything that I need to download (I think).
    Tried to run Photoshop - but am being asked if I want to start my "trial"
    or I have the option to "License This Software"
    but where is the Serial Number for Photoshop & LightRoom 5?
    I imagine it's right under my nose - but I do not see it anywhere.
    The screen which appears (after I sign in) says:
    Am I supposed to "Start Trial" or "License This Software"
    To make things even more confusing:
    I just ran LightRoom 5 for the first time.
    There was a serial number automatically inserted in the space provided.
    Not sure what's going on - but this is becoming a little overwheling.
    I suppose it's the price I must pay for being an old fart!

    Hi.  Sorry, but I don't have any good news for ya.
    My issue has been resolved, however - it was due to a lengthy chat I had online with an Adobe Associate.
    We were able to get everything running the way 'twas intended,
    but there were some hoops of fire with which I had to jump.
    Wish I could help....but the only thing I can say is to attempt a "Live Chat"
    With the Adobe help team.

    Ok, it looks like I couldn't contact the servers, but the Adobe application did not tell me anything: no feedback.  I have gone into C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and removed all the firewall IP filters, and photoshop opens.  You can then revert the hosts file to get all your anti-spam and adblocking filters and photoshop still opens.  To be clear, Adobe seems to be using some special ip address to tell your app that it's licensed, this address could be on any number of spam blacklists (because I guess it's used to phone hime about app usage and sell you stuff).  So check your hosts file, OR check your work firewall / router.
    @Adobe, help people out, just say 'unable to contact license servers'. When your infrastructure fails, and paying customers mysteriously get trial software, it makes Creative Cloud look broken, and frustrates the people you want to give you money.

    Your serial number is for version 5 and not for Lightroom 6. If will install LR 6 you have to buy a update and the you get a new serial number.

    If you installed them by download then you will need to do the same when your machine is ready.  If you upgraded to version 12 then as a minimum you will need to have the serial number from version 10 in order to confirm your eligibility for the upgrade activation.  You do not need to have version 10 installed.
    You can check your account online to see if there are links to download the installation files.  If you cannot find them in your account, then here are links to find the trial versions elsewhere - you can activate them to full use using your serial numbers...

  • My 30 day Photoshop trial finished yesterday. I purchased the $9.99 per month Photoshop package and received an email saying "Thank you for your payment etc" But when I go to open PS it still says "the trial has expired.."

    1. Close all the Adobe Applications. Log-out from creative.adobe.com and re-login.
    2. Once you launch the software and when you get the error saying the the trial version has expired, you will have an option saying "License this software".
    3. Select this option and enter your credentials and click next.

    That is the photography plan, if you want more programs you need the full CC plan.

    There is no serial number for the CC version of LR.
    You should uninstall the trial which is asking for a serial number – your catalog and images won’t be affected.
    Then Quit the CC Desktop application, using Gear / Quit or right-click / Quit
    Then restart the CC Desktop application.
    Now you should have LR listed in the CC Desktop apps list with an Install button.

  • Upgrading to CC after purchasing the photoshop special?

    I would like to purchase the Photoshop $9.99/mon subscription special. However, I think I might want to upgrade to the complete package after a few months. How does that work? Will my Photoshop subscription cancel automatically after I sign up for CC? Or would I need to pay for both subscriptions ($9.99+$49.99/mon) because Photoshop subscription requires a year of commitment? I think the latter doesn't make sense, but still want to ask just to make sure. Thank you.

    Upgrading from PS/Lr bundle to a full CC subscription is no problem. I did just that only a month or two ago. They cancel your existing subscription from that point and sign you up for a new one effective immediately, there's no extra charge or overlap payment.
    The best way is to do it through chat; you'll have it up and running in less than five minutes. All you need to do is sign out and back in to update the CC app.
