I've selected "remember history", yet Firefox keeps deleting it. How can I keep my history? Thanks

Version 3.6.8 running on a laptop with Win XP Home. Don't know what else to tell you.

You can also check the settings in some of the extensions to make sure that they are not causing it.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

At the moment my privacy settings are Use Custom Settings in Private Browsing mode with no third party cookies. Recently however when I log out of hotmail the msn homepage comes up. So I decided to change to never remember history settings. However, whenever I change it, it always reverts back to Use Custom Settings. Why and how can I change it?

Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
You enter Private Browsing mode if you select:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" > [X] "Always use private browsing mode"

Firefox 4 is not compatible with the skin i had been using for my browser, old factory black... i would prefer to keep this skin rather than use firefox 4... how can i revert back to the previous version of firefox?...

Hmm, that's some sort of MIDI Arpeggiator setup in your environment. Strange that you don't know it, this has to be custom-installed, it is not part of the standard setup.
You can do two things about it:
1.unlock your current screenset (shift-L), then close the (Bass Driver) window, then relock the screenset (shift-L). Next time you open up this project you won't see the Bass Driver, but it is still in the project.
2. You can remove the whole page: open the Environment (cmd-8), then go to the dropdown menu arrow top left of the Environment window and select the Bass Driver layer. If it is selected, dropdown again and choose Delete. Now Save your project under a different name (Save As...), so that you still keep the Bass Driver setup in the original project. If you don't need to keep it, you can simply Save.

Using bootcamp was installing windows xp, at the select ntfs or fat format selected "leave the current file system intact." How can that be changed to a correct choice. Mac side opens correctly. Windows shows disk error.

(13"MacBook Pro 10.6.8)

Hi, While installing XQuatrz-2.7.7, the installation blocks at the "destination" level. It asks how to install this soft, "Install for all users" is shadowed, but frozen: i cannot select anything and move on. Any idea how to get that fixed? Thanks!

If 32-bit Firefox was installed, it will be always listed as such. If both 32-bit and 64-bit were installed, please make sure to start the correct one. Sorry, there's no way around Activation Lock. So, give the phone back to your "friend", as you will never be able to use it.

My Verizon system keeps removing Firefox from my system, how can I resolve this problem?

Now the latest update of Firefox does not allow me to use Norton 360. Is this compatibility problem with Firefox or with Norton? Can this be fixed? If so, how? What do I need to do?
