I've suddenly got less free diskspace!
Hi folks
I tried partitioning my drive to set up boot camp, with the assistant. I got a kernal panic for some reason, and after restarting the computer (did a disk permission + general repair, some fixed stuff but now all good), I only have 20 GB free. I had about 50GB free before! The partition size I selected was 40 GB, so I suspect it may have "half" created the partition. I can't restore the drive to a single partition through the bootcamp assistant, and I just re-indexed the whole drive, which didn't help.
Very odd...any pointers?
Yet another restart of both iTunes and the ATV, and believe it or not I have got the Blues!!

iPhoto 9.5.1 has suddenly got all blank photos. If I scroll through the photos they appear briefly and disappear. I have not updated to Yosemite - I am still running Mavericks on an iMac. I have been through the database rebuild and repair routines. I uploaded photos and movies three days ago and all was well. Then I used the migration assistant to copy from Time Machine to a new Macbook Air and noticed blank photos. I thought it was a problem with the Macbook Air, but then I went back to the iMac to check and they were all blank as well.
what does appear after the photo "flashes"?
Have you repaired permissions? If not backup your iPhoto library and option-command launch and repair permissions - then repair the database and if needed rebuild the database
If that does not do it down iPhoto Library Manager on the iMac and use the free trial's rebuild command to create a totally new library leaving the existing one alone
Once you have the iMac working correctly then connect the two systems together (or use an external drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) ) and drag the iPhoto library form the iMac to the pictures folder of the MBA (rather than migration assistant)

I am trying to install Boot Camp but it says I haven't got enough free space on my start up disk - that I need at least 10GB free space - however in disk utility it says I have 27GB free!
if your SSD is only 60 GBs, then you don't have space on which to install Windows. That 27 GBs is space you need to have for adding files you create, music you download, added applications, pictures, etc. You need to maintain at least 10 GBs as free space for OS X, plus you need space for files OS X will create and add to over time.
Your 60 GB SSD is just a minimum usable size for OS X. There isn't sufficient space to also support Windows which requires close to 25 GBs of the 27 GBs you still have free. Sorry, but that just doesn't really work well. -
the app is called gojimo and it was to help me study for my GCSES i got it free but i bought a book inside it called elements now evey time i click on it. it tells me you have bought this book but it needs to be downloaded i need to find out where i can click download it is on myb iphone 5s and the book cost me £2.49

The sound quality of my speaker suddenly got really poor when playing music or videos. Sounds like an old AM radio or Sputnik. Pretty sure it's hardware related but maybe not. Thoughts on what the problem might be and if it can be repaired?
The batterys the ipods come with are very sensetive somtimes they dont react right to the first couple of charges. Try fully charging it and then leaving it on until its completely drained a few times. If that doesnt work it might be a lemon.

I had a free trial of Lightroom 5 and tried to purchase it, but page errors blocked me from being able to do this. I then got a free trial of Adobe CC. At first I saw my old photos, then the whole thing went down, and now I have a new Lightroom 5 trial, and none of my edited photos. Can I retrieve all these photos from my first trial?
Yes, you have to find the catalog file from the CC trial (use your operating system to search for it, the file name ends with .LRCAT), and then once you find it, open the LR5 trial and open the catalog you just found using File->Open Catalog

Having been on Thunderbird for some years I have suddenly got the following message when trying to send mail.
An (SMTP) error occurred while sending mail. The server responded: Requested action aborted: This mail account has sent too many messages in a short amount of time. Please try later..
I have checked the SMTP server settings in tools, account settings and they are as they have always been. Is there something I have missed?Sending through web mail is totally irrelevant to using an SMTP server. The message even says it is from the server. Why do you think this is a Thunderbird problem.
The provider has put in place measures to keep people from spamming other email recipients using thier SMTP server. You have seen the result of those measures. -
i just got my new laptop tonight and got the free lion download but once i tried to install it is said the download was corrupted?? what do i do??
Go into your Applications folder
Find the app named Install Mac OS X Lion.app
Move that app to the trash
relaunch The App Store
go to your Purchased list
Click on install next to Lion
It will re-download the installer -
My screen suddenly got foggy and cloudy - iPhone 6 Plus
My screen suddenly got foggy and cloudy. When I press screenshot combination keys, I see a blue circle with the symbols 5JKL in black, this fades and I get a cloudy screen, then that fades to black. Trying reset with the Home plus Sleep/Wake button brings up the apple but that fades to the black screen. Anyone who have experience this? Or have tip that could help me?

I purchased an unlocked iPhone4 last month. Everything was fine till yesterday. Where did you purchase it from? There are lots of iPhones sold as "unlocked" which are carrier locked phones that were hacked and are not officially unlocked. These phones are subject to re-locking to the original carrier, particularly when updated.

I own a HP Pavilion dv6 7039tx Notebook. The OS is Win 7 64bit. I made 4 partitions after formatting the 1TB HDD as the C drive would not reduce to the 40GB size I wanted through disk management.
It was working fine till now and then it suddenly got stuck during startup.
I talked to customer support and they said it was a OS problem and I should order a set of 6 Recovery DVDs. i want to know if using the HP recovery disk
1) Has an option to repair the system and leaves the disk partition unchanged?
2) It resets the notebook to factory condition?
3) There is an option of recovery disk which I should specifically ask for?

I suddenly got 968 in front of all my telehone numbers
All the numbers in my address book suddenly got the numbers 968 in front of them, (after my nephew was playing with the device). How can that be reversed?
SveinPress the phone button on the bottom left of the device.
Hit the menu key and go to Options
Select Smart dialing.
Make sure the country and area codes in there are correct.
