I've tried everything...can you help?
My 4th Gen iPod has been acting up lately. It was basically cycling through all my songs, without playing any.
I have reset. I have reformatted. It would work for a little while and then start again.
I let the battery drain and tried again. Somehow, all my songs on the iPod got wiped. No big deal, I have them on my computer.
I have tried to re-reun the updater -- no dice. The updater initializes and then freezes.
I can see the iPod as the G:/drive in My Computer, but cannot access it at all -- it freezes my whole computer.
When connected to the computer, I can't unmount it at all -- it continuously says "Do not disconnect" no matter how many times/ways I try to disconnect. And yet it is not recognized by iTunes. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. Still nothing, just a constant "Do not disconnect".
I found my way into diagnostic mode -- everything seems to check out fine -- HDD passed, SDRAM passed, etc.
Can anyone help? I have looked into sending it to Apple for support -- my issue doesn't even appear on their little pulldown menu of options.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help... I have the same prob. Except the drive in the ipod was clicking alot, stop and starting. Can't get windows to recognise the ipod or do a restore in the updater. I think my music is fine. I haven't been able to try my ipod on someone else's computer yet. It's just real weird because if you check the event viewer you can see that windows is sending it a signal to start but then the ipod gives no response, and it times out, and freezes windows until i disconnect it (not properly) USB and firewire the same, it actually seemed to shut down my USB hub until a restart.
Anyway, we have the same prob, what's the solution? Can a virus get into the ipod?

Go on to iTunes, and uncheck the albums you want removed. When the phone re-synces, they will be off.

I am making the assumption - based on the "tags" in your description - that you do not have sounds in apps, games and things like that - but you can hear sound when you use the music app. ......
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

I am getting error message 4251 when I try to burn a CD tried everything can anyone help PLEASE!!??
I ahve tried numerous times to burn from itunes to a cd but everytime I get an error 4251 - the cd ejects and just cant get it to work - I have tried so many times and have no idea how to solve the problem - not tech minded so please any help in language I can understand ! thanks

My iphone was working on Friday night and when I woke up it had turned itself off!
I left it a few days and it worked again for about 30 mins and has turned back off again! Ive checked the water sensors which are fine, held both buttons down together for over a minute, nothing, plugged it into the charger, nothing, and onto itunes which shows a message to say "your iphone is in recover mode". Can anyone suggest anything else I can do as its been 3 days now!!!
ThanksYou can try to press the home button and power button and hold them for around 15-20 seconds. This will perform a soft reset similar to pulling the battery. If that doesn't help you may need to restore it.

I've done everything I know in order to get my calendar in iCloud synchronized with my macBook, my IPad and my iPhone, but get no success. I've checked if all devices are set to the same account. Can you help me?
The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.

I am trying to connect my Apple TV to an older Panasonic projection TV using an HDMI to a DVI cable to the Digital IN. I cannot get any sound. Can you help?
DVI interface does't allow audio. Is there optical IN from your Panasonic TV? By then you can connect your ATV to Panasonic using optical together. It will work.

Could you provide the exact wording and punctuation of the message, and try Googling that yourself -- when you google leave out unimportant words and punctuations, group words that are still together as in original message within quotes or with hyphens so that google will look for those words together in that order. -

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

How do I stop an app from waiting? I have tried to reboot by holding the home key and power button to power down. The app is still grayed out and waiting so it cannot be deleted. Also, I have tried to sync the apps from my laptop and tried downloading new appswith no success. Can you help? Thanks
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
