I've updated to IOS7 now app updates wont disappear from screen even after updating

I have updated to IOS7 on my Ipad and Iphone. I've noticed now that when i get a notice that an app needs an update, I tap the "install" button and after the update is finished the "install" icon changes to "open". Problem is that even if i tap the "open" icon, the app opens has it should. But when I return to the "app store" icon under updates the app I just open still appears on the list and still has the "open" icon visable. Use to be once you updated an app it would dissapear from the update list. I know have a list of 7 apps all updated and showing the "open" icon on my Iphone 5 and 13 on my Ipad. I've tried shutting down my device and restarting, yet they still show up on the list. Is it just me, have I missed a setting or something? How do I get rid of updated app showing up on my update list?

I've had the same issues since iOS 7 was released last week. Sometimes my iPad' App Store icon's badge shows I have 3 updates. When I enter the App Store to update them, there are no updates shown. When I back out of the App Store, they are no longer shown on the iPad's App Store icon. When I again enter the App Store, only 2 updates show up. It's all very inconsistent. Rebooting, restarting, etc all do nothing. I believe the issue to be on Apple's end.

You will need to do a DFU restore by holding the home and power buttons down (while the device is plugged in to your computer) until the device's screen goes black and as soon as the screen goes black, count down from 3 and release the power/sleep button, but keep holding down the home button. Then, iTunes will say the iPod needs to be restored. The restore process will take some time and even though the iPod may appear to be frozen, don't interrupt the restore.

No-one knows, beyond it showing that you've either some software/hardware issues, or just that things go wrong occasionally, & backups are useful to have.

follow R C -R's suggestion to get the install DVD's - and meantime, do take WZZZ's advice to reinstall the combo, it should provide a working copy of App Store, although you ought to run Software Update afterwards, and install this security update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1670 - even if Software Update doesn't mention it, since that also alters App Store.

Delete the App Store app by dragging it and dropping it into the Trash. Then download and install the appropriate update combo for your version of OS X;

For the App Store icon check Settings>General>Restrictions. You may have restricted the installing of apps and the icon will disappear.
If that's not it, swipe from screen to screen as you may have moved the icon.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.
More information is needed about the apps not syncing or downloading. Are you signed into the same ID on the iPad as your are using in iTunes on your computer and are you talking about iTunes on the computer being the problem?

IPhone apps repeatedly asking to allow notifications, even after saying ok.

I have the 4s. Constantly apps are asking to allow notifications, even after allowing them. It seems to not remember my choices. I have restarted the phone and restored it twice. Same problem. Also, all of the newstand app subscriptions have to be restored constantly almost daily to download my issues. The Zinio app does the same thing. This is why I suspect it's not just an issue with individual apps, but a deeper issue within the phone or it's systems. It's kinda frustrating to redownload subscription content over and over again. I checked account settings and passwords, etc. nothing seems to fix it. Anyone else having these issues? I am on AT&T,64gb iPhone 4s. if anyone knows of a fix, please let me know.

If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, more than likely your iPhone has a major hardware problem.
If your iPhone remains under warranty, you can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby. You can make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby regardless if your iPhone remains under warranty for a diagnostic check to be run on your iPhone to determine where the problem lies. There will be no charge for this.

Thanks for your comment. Do you currently tether through your BB? I can get access to the internet to use my Outlook but when I try to sync by contacts and calendar, I am unable.

They can be found in your on screen App and your Widget folder, simply tap your folder to open and touch and drag your app icon back to the correct screen location. You can also check all of your apps from your app device manager.

The iTunes Store app has mysteriously vanished from my iPhone 5s running 7.0.2. It was literally there one minute and gone the next: I checked the phone, locked it, then had to check something else and when I unlocked the icon was missing.
So far I have tried:
A full system search - the app does not appear in the universal search list.
Tried getting Siri to launch it - Siri replies that it cannot find an app called iTunes.
Checked restrictions in the general settings - restrictions are off.
Done a full wipe and restore from a backup prior to the app going missing - iTunes app still not present.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Well, just to tie this one up I'll say that the problem resolved itself. About three weeks after posting this question the iTunes app mysteriously reappeared. I did not do anything to try and get it back and the phone had not updated any software for a while. I have no idea why it disappeared or why it reappeared but there we go; maybe it fancied a holiday?

Apps have all disappeared from my account

I upgraded to the new iPhone software - had to do a restore as there were errors.
Now all of my apps have gone from my phone and i can not re download them as they have gone from my account so the apps store say there is nothing to download.
I have evidence that i have them as i have most of the receipts.
Have contacted Apple but they dont appear to understand the issue and seem to think it is reasonable to send me one message every 24 hours.
Has anyone had this problem and know a fix?
Does anyone know the procedure to complain to Apple about their service (or lack of)?

I DIDN'T UPGRADE to the new ITunes and the "App" catagory is missing from my library.And ITunes opens up like I did upgrade and wants me to make a bunch of choices. And gives me some new tutorial. ***??

Hi, I've lost App store application in my iPhone after it was upgraded iOS 4.1. In addition, apps sync is not allowed in iTunes, I mean can not be checked. How can I the app store application and from where? Which software might cause the failure: iOS or iTunes? Should I make a back up from iTunes? Can be repair the sync function?
I have an iPad also, but I don't dare to sync it now.

It worked! You pointed out exactly the solving of my problem. I forgot that I set some restrictions.
Since I disable to apps download function, it caused that the Apps store icon vanished from the screen.
After I had enabled this function again, the icon appeared on the screen.
