I've used Firefox for years. 2 days ago it wouldn't open. I uninstalled it using Revo uninstaller and put it back. Its still the same. Can anyone tell me how 2 fix this or change my mail settings for I Explorer. thx

For gmail there are no settings to change, you can access gmail from any browser just by going to the gmail site and logging in.

tried to do an ios update the ipad mini is now asking to plug into itunes, have now seperate computer to do this can not get any other screen to come up on ipad can the ipad be reset or how do I fix this
If it's showing the connect to iTunes screen then it sounds like it's gone into recovery mode and will need to be connected to a computer's iTunes in order to be reset. Does neither she nor you have a computer, and if she hasn't has she been backing up to the cloud instead ?
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether content is still in the store, she might be able to re-download some/all of her downloads via the Purchased tabs in the App Store and iTunes store apps -

If you're trying to change the iCloud ID on your phone, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're running iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

I have an oritinal iPad and need to restore it to factory settings. I've followed the instuctions from the reset menu. When it powers back up it takes me to a screen indicating I need to attach it to iTunes. The iPad was loaned to me so I did not have a need to back it up. Can anyone help me restore the settings without connecting to iTunes?

When you reset to factory settings, you erased all content and settings. That restored it to factory settings except that it kept the latest iOS update.
The person who loaned it to you can connect it to iTunes on their computer. They will be given the option to restore from their backup.

Not something I would suspect Apple could help with. The most obvious solution is to,change your email address. You might also check with your email provider and see if there an any anti-spam settings on the server that would help.

I have an iphone 4. Strange contacts i.e 'EM. Yeeu, Kieu, Sep. Hai' keep appearing in my list of contacts. It is possible to delete the numbers attached to each of these but not the names. Also frequently my list of contacts disappears completely and I have to re-inseert manually each time. Can anybody explain how to stop both these things happening please?
@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.

Instead of getting a wireless card for the Mac Pro, you might want to consider getting an 802.11ac wireless bridge device that would enable you to connect more than one device to it by Ethernet cable and to eventually take advantage of the faster 802.11ac wireless standard.

When in Twitter & someone tweets using TMI - when I click on the link to open it I get an empty TMI.me screen. This is a new problem - started a few days ago. Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Hi, I recently changed my username for my iTunes/iCloud account. Can anyone tell me how i change the username on my iCloud iPad? When I go onto setting to change it it keeps the username grey so I can't even select it?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

Can anyone tell me how to scan documents to the icloud, so they will be on the ipad? My husband is planning on using his ipad for business. I haven't been able to even find anywhere that I could read about scanning documents.
If you scanned the documents - what format did you save them in - pdf? If so, Pages will not open pdf files. you can save a file and export it as a pdf from Pages - but not the other way around.
If you need simply view the documents - you can send them to the iPad via email or DropBox and them open and save them in iBooks. or Adobe Reader. both apps are free. Adobe Reader can use file sharing in iTunes to transfer the files.
If you need to annotate the files - you will need an app like Goodreader - which can use file sharing from iTunes in order to transfer the files as well. GoodReader may work with iCloud now, but you will have to check that out in the App Store.
You can read this to see how to use file sharing. It really is pretty easy to use. You do need to do this with your computer.

Can anyone tell me how to make make Garageband ignore HDMI as an audio output-device on a 2013 Mac mini i7 using an Apogee jam as an input for bass and a Behringer USB DAC with RCA audio output? Now it keeps on prompting me: Do you want want to use the HDMI device (monitor without audio) for audio output? I'm also suffering massive audio lag issues with the Apogee jam after waking the mini from sleepmode, wich pretty much renders it useless.

Grtz T.I think the easiest way to do this is to have the EyeTV app running in one user account and sent via HDMI to the TV, and use a separate user account for Screen Sharing. Both logins can be active at the same time and with Lion you can connect via screen sharing to which ever login you need.
With regards to the Mac video resolution changing, when it is not the current input on your AV receiver. This is 'normal', if the Mac sees no signal it drops down the a lower level. The Mac mini does have an IR receiver. This can be used with the EyeTV app, iTunes, and similar. Yes I believe EyeTV would run for prolonged periods quite happily, it is has been around for a long time and had most of the rough edges polished off. However one issue you will have to deal with is that it does not automatically update its program guide data. For this you might have to write or modify an AppleScript. Elgato support or their user forums will be a lot of help.
You can set EyeTV to convert recordings to an iTunes (Apple TV) compatible format and then delete them from EyeTV.
The HDMI Detective should solve your handshaking problems.
