I wanna close my user account, how to do it?

Hi,
I wanna close this icloud.com user account, which I'm using right now.
So, how to do it?
Because i can't find 'delete account' button.
Because, i don't need 2 accounts.., (still using .me account after that.)

You can't delete an iCloud account from the server. Simply go to System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud and click 'Sign out' or 'Delete account' as applicable (the latter does not delete the account from the server) and stop using it in future.
Note however that [email protected] and [email protected] are not separate accounts; they are the same account and messages to either address turn up in the same inbox.

  • How close an user account and maintain the accessibility of orders

    Hello,
I have a question about HRMS.
I would like to close a user while still being able to see the commands created by this user.
For example, I have a user "A", he created orders "COM_01", "COM_02" and "COM_03". I fill out an end date for closing this user.
Then, in a second time with the user "B" (user still active) I want to see the orders "COM_01", "COM_02" and "COM_03".
    But, it's not possible.
What should I do to enable the consultation of these orders?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    regards,
    Antoine.

That's what I meant. My original plan was:
    1) Create a new account with admin privileges.
    2) Make the original account a standard account.
Unfortunately, this does not work because the name of the original account is: "admin". And for whatever reason, it is impossible to remove admin privileges from an account named: "admin". The checkbox for doing so is grayed out.

  • After creating a new user account, how do I move my files into the new user?

I have an issue where my 'Desktop/Screensaver' prefs seem to be corrupt somehow. When I click on that icon in System Preferences, it stalls and I get the spinning ball, thus resulting in a force quit. After reading a Mac Format magazine where someone wrote in with a similar issue, they said to trash various prefs (did that and made no difference) and if that didn't work, try creating a New User account (therefore creating brand new system prefs) and move your stuff over.
Well, I've created the New User account, but I can't figure out how to move/copy my stuff into the user folders. After copying and attempting to move stuff in, I see folders with a red circle with a white line through it (like a 'no entry' sign).
Any clue as to how this can be done? All I'm trying to do is to reinstate the system prefs so they are not corrupt anymore on my log-in.

No. Not the main Library folder. Make absolutely sure you are in the Home Library folder and not the main Library folder.
Your Home Library folder is hidden in Lion. To get to it, in the Finder menu, select GO and hold the option key down. Select Library in the submenu. The Finder window will open in your Home Library. This is where your user prefs are stored.
Once there, you will see the Preferences folder. Open it up, select all items within it and move them to the trash. You will need to restart in order for the new Finder preferences to be recreated.
Once you restart, then you will be back to the default preferences to the system and all applications. And yes, it will affect all settings including your Dock, just as logging into a new user. You will have to reset everything there also.
If you wish to do a selective method, instead of deleting all preferences, try deleting the one associated with your problem. Screen saver problems should be affected by the system preferences, so try deleting this:
    com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    com.apple.systempreferences.plist.lockfile
Note that when you delete system file preferences, a restart will be required. For applications, just quit the application before trashing preference files.

  • Icloud only installs on 1 pc user account, how do i install it on the 2nd?

I downloaded, installed and setup Icloud on my windows 7 pc. Outlook addons, etc, all installed and worked beautifully. I switched over to my wife's user account and tried to install the Icloud control panel. When the installation starts, it gives me the choice of repairing or removing my icloud control panel. I tried repairing, but my wife has nothing installed. Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks in advance,

    Content and Apple IDs -

  • I downloaded xcode 4 from my brother user account, and I want to move that file to my user account ( how can I do it please help)

Hi everyone can anybody help please, I downloaded xcode 4 from my brother user account, and I want to move that file ( which is xcode 4) to my own user account, I was trying to find how to do it, but unfortunatally couln't do it, so please need world help,

You cannot. You have to make your own download by signing into the App Store using your Apple ID then downloading the file.
If you just want to install it on your computer, then copy the file to a flash drive and transfer it to your computer.

  • I want to close a user account?

I want to close down  a user account. When I go into Users in System Preferences and chose the account I want to close it starts going through the motions of deleting the account, then, comes up with an error saying I can't delete this account.
Does anybody know why this happens?
I have tried many times. I have even removed files so that I have 200GB of disk space etc.

Without specifics all we can do is tell you to read Apple's article on the subject. OS X Mountain Lion: Delete a user

  • User Accounts:  How many?

Hello. I'm setting up an iMac Intel. Many users will be using it, maybe 5 or more. How many user accounts can this puppy support before it begins to wheezes? I know with XP having multiple profiles it starts to slow the system down.
    Thanks!

You can set up thousands of accounts with no hit in performance. But I believe that no more than 10 or 15 accounts can be logged in at the same time with fast user switching. As long as users don't leave processor-intensive apps running in their accounts, there shouldn't be any performance hit by keeping all these accounts logged in at once. I have six user accounts on my system and don't notice any slowdown when all are logged in at the same time.

  • ITunes - 2 user accounts - How do I combine to get one set of Playlists ...

I am very new to Mac. I have 2 user accounts set-up (really would rather have only one), and the iTunes is different under each account. I would like to only have one set of iTunes Music library and Playlists. Can anyone help me out?

No, you need firewire (if your Mac has a FW port) - see some info here under setup:
    http://pondini.org/OSX/Home.html
To go back to the startup menu, you can use recovery - see info here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
You'd basically start with key commands Command + Option + R, choose Disk Utility to erase the drive and then Apple's servers will reinstall the OS. Once that is done, the setup will begin and Setup Asst will be offered in the beginning (it's only offered once - you decline and you have to use Migration Asst or start over).

  • When migrating from a pc to  macbook pro migration assistant caused multiple user accounts how do I get the data all in to one account now that it is migrated ?

I am switching over to apple from a PC platform and I have tried to use migration assistant to transfer the stuff on my PC to my macbook pro. When i tried the first time the two went to sleep due the long time required to transfer 13 GB of data and the transfer failed. I tried to transfer again only opting for some of the data  but when I did it created a second user account . I tried again and now I have transferred most of the data but I have it in three user accounts. Not what I wanted to do. Is there an easy fix for this or do Ineed to start from scratch ?

Open the Users folder on the internal drive, drag all of the other home folders to the desktop, and then move the files inside to the desired locations.

  • Two iPhones, one OS X user account: how will contacts sync?

Here's the situation: my wife and I each have an iPhone 4. Both sync to our iMac. So far, I've been syncing my contacts to the OS X Address Book app. But I haven't ever set up my wife's contacts to sync (hers were ported over from an older, non-Apple phone when we switched from our previous wireless provider to AT&T). We share one user account on the iMac. We like it this way. It's just simpler for us, as her computing needs are very light.
I'd like there to be one common list of addresses, but I don't want to lose any contacts that are currently on my wife's iPhone. If I set hers to sync now, will iTunes simply add all of hers to the OS X Address Book app? I realize this might mean a lot of duplicates, but I can weed those out. What I don't want to do is accidentally wipe her contacts and replace them with the iMac's list of contacts (at least not until I'm sure it is the most comprehensive list. Then I might use iTunes to delete both phones' lists and replace them with the iMac's list).
    Thanks in advance.

When there are contacts available in the supported address book application on your computer - in this case in the Address Book app on your Mac, and there are contacts available on the iPhone that hasn't been synced for contacts, a merge prompt will be provided with the first sync for this data, which you want to select. If you don't select merge, the contacts on the iPhone will be overwritten by the contacts in the Address Book on your Mac.

  • To user accounts - how to merge without loosing apps and music?

On the family Windows computer we have a couple of user profiles (correct term?). The kids each set up their own and me and the Ms. share one. I have an itunes account and there is also one on one of my childs profile. They are both tied to the same itunes/apple store account, but have different collections.
My son has an Ipod Touch and is finding that he can't sync because if he does there is a message that he will loose apps and music (or something like that). He mostly downloads via his Touch. He has lost a few songs when he tried to sync to back up.
Basically he would like to be able to sync and backup his Touch.
Any thoughts on how he can do this without loosing apps and music?

I assume you mean your itunes library ( music.etc) as your account is only a username and password.
Type "move itunes library" into the google search bar.

  • I have multpulpe Firefox profiles on one windows user account, how do I move a bookmark folder to a different Firefox profile on the same windows user account?

''locking this thread as duplicate, please continue at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1015870 /questions/1015870]''
I'm trying to organize my different Firefox profiles like into profiles such as, Jeep Stuff, Shopping, things to build, computers, ect. So how can I move a bookmark folder to an other Firefox profile bookmark bar. Or how can I move all my bookmarks into one area to organize them and then place them into the different Firefox profiles?

What happens if you rename the iPhone "Wife" when it shows up as "Hubby", then choose a different set of apps/playlists to sync with? iTunes is supposed to be able to manage multiple devices, each with their own selection of content. Perhaps you "restored" "Wife" with a backup from "Hubby" when you first set things up which is now causing confusion.
To create a new library press and hold down the shift key as you click the icon to start iTunes and keep holding shift until asked to choose or create a library. You need to use the same technique to switch back.

  • I have just used migration assistant to import photos (using an ethernet cable) from my PC. It has worked but they have gone into a new user on my MacPro. How can I merge them into the one user account.

I have just used migration assistant to import photos (using an ethernet cable) from my PC. It has worked but they have gone into a new user on my MacPro. How can I merge them into the one user account.

How many pictures (or how many bytes) are we talking?  Now that the pictures are imported one way to cross users is to use a removable drive (although large volumes of files preclude this).
The other is to login as the user where the pictures are, then copy them into the public drop box of the user where you want the picture.
The arrow is showing (in ths example) copy files from the Pictures folder for my user to the guest user accounts public dropbox.  When you do this you may have to authenticate and you won't be able to see the results of the copy until you log in as the other user.
All users are in the folder "/Users/"
