is apple care already on the computer.You should have received an email from Apple with the receipts for the iPad and your AppleCare. AppleCare is not on your iPad... if you have a problem with your iPad that you cannot repair yourself, then you would contact AppleCare for help.

Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if the Restriction that prevents changing accounts is set. I faso, unset it.

Since you're ordering both the computer & AppleCare directly from Apple, Apple Care will automatically be registerd. Thus, nothing for you to do other than enjoy your computer.

Why did I pay $19 for Start Trek Into Darkness pre-order, if Apple KNEW they were going to release a bundle on the release date and I could have got the other Star Trek movie for just $5 more? What the heck Apple, I feel completely ripped off.
I didn't even have time to cancel the preorder as that processed a couple minutes before the bundle was posted.

Pre-ordering through Apple or Verizon?
We have a family plan and it is my wife's line that is eligible for an upgrade. A Verizon rep told me yesterday that we could use her upgrade and activate the phone on my number.
My question is, is this easily accomplished if I order the phone through Apple, or will it come already activated on the line that is eligible? Since I need to do this, do I need to order through Verizon?I don't have experience ordering the iPhone from Apple but I have ordered every iPod I've owned (except the ones I received as gifts) from Apple. I've always received quicker than expected delivery with absolutely no issues. I would have ordered my iPhone back in February through them but I wanted to use my New Every 2 credit so I had to order through Verizon to ensure that I was able to use the credit. I've never had a problem with ordering from Verizon either. The biggest issue (if you could even call it that) was the slowness of receiving my tracking number via email. Mind you, this was when the iPhone first came to Verizon and it was during the preorder...so in VZ's defense, there were a lot of orders taking place that had to be shipped...and despite the "slow" email I received my iPhone quickly and before the date it was available in stores. Honestly, I don't think it matters which one you order from. Baring some odd issue you will recieve your iPhone in a timely manner. Those that ordered through Apple may have received their confirmation emails with tracking info quicker (really can't remember), but to be honest, people were very impatient at that time....and were already freaking out when they didn't receive an email by 10:00 am on the date it was ordered! Many were hoping that since they ordered at midnight (3:01 am est) they would receive their iPhone that next day...it didn't happen that quickly but I know I received mine on that Monday morning...if I remember correctly, pre-order was on the 3rd....I recieved mine on the 7th. since we had to factor in the weekend (and the fact that Saturday deliveries weren't being done...and they don't deliver on Sundays) that wasn't bad at all.

How does pre-ordering with Apple work?
For people who have previously pre-ordered with Apple (for an iPad or iPhone) or are familiar with their pre-order process, would you mind explaining the process to me?
In other words, will their website lag due to an overload of orders? Will everyone be guaranteed an iPhone 4 on the 15th? Is there limited availability? Will they be depleted out of iPhones if I order an hour after?
I don't care when I get it, but will I be guaranteed one on the pre-order date?
Thanks!What has happened in the past is the pre-order date is when you can place an order for the phone. You will not receive it until at least the 24th (available date). If you want to be one of the first on your block to get one, I'd recommend ordering as early as possible. You will be told the prospective "receive by" date when you order. Historically, those that order early, receive them on the available date. Of course you can also camp out at your local Apple Store (as has become an Apple tradition).
It is possible there might be a lag during the initial rush, but I doubt it. Apple has figured out how to take orders fairly efficiently -

I'm in the same situation. I was up trying to get on the Verizon page at 11:55, kept getting the ECPD error. When finally got through, the Silver Iphone Plus 64 showed arrival of 9-19. At every step of the process, it seemed that I was ordering a phone that would arrive on day1. At no point did it say this was an estimate. At no point did it say it might change. In a big yellow box, it said "9-19". Ordered it, then got confirmation email stating it should arrive at 9-19. Seems like all should be good, right? Order site said 9-19, I've got a confirmation email saying 9-19, done and done.
Then I check the website, and suddenly it changed to 10-14?!?!?!? I feel like this was a bait and switch. I was able to pickup an iphone5 in a local store on launch day, and would not have locked myself into a preorder through Verizon if I had known this would happen!
So, that leads back to the original questions. Lets assume I walk into a Verizon store on 9-19, and there is an available iphone6 plus just sitting there, can I either get that phone as fulfillment of my pre-order. Or, cancel my pre-order and buy that phone right then and there?

I downloaded the latest iOS7 to my iPad and then the screen went blank and would not respond. I have tried pressing the two buttons together and briefly get the Apple logo but still can not restart, the logo disappears. I have tried connecting to my iMac to restore the iPad but the device does not show up (I have an old iMac). What else can I do?
You need to be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 at the very least in order to sync your iPad with iTunes so you could update your Mac, if it can be updated, and if you care to do so.
If that's not an option, you will have to find someone that can restore the device for you with their computer running iTunes or make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them to restore the device for you.
I hope that you have an iCloud backup, because you will lose everything on the device when it is restored.

Also, I would not give up on the reset technique....holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. It takes about 10-15 seconds and sometimes just a little longer to get the logo to appear. -
I just purchased an Apple TV MD199LL/A, got it connected to my internet. I can go to Youtube and watch videos. I'm able to access Netflix. All seems well except I cannot connect to my iTunes account. I have gone through the list - home sharing is set correctly on both iTunes and my Apple TV. The userid is correct on both.
Message "Loading prodrigu's library" and then "Could not connect to prodrigu's library".
I had this same problem when I installed the REMOTE application on my ipad. Everything on the list was affirmative, but had the same problem not being able to connect to my iTunes.
What is missing? Is there a firewall setting that could be causing this?I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Netflix movies are adaptive and vary their quality according to your connection and can be as low as 0.5 Mbps.
But remember lower datarates = lower quality. -

i have done all 7 steps recommended by the troubleshooting articles and only when i restart my router does my library show on apple tv2 but only for about 5 minutes, this was never a problem before the updates of itunes and apple tv2, i have spent insane amounts of money on the apple store buying movies and tv shows that i cannot watch anymore, and no there is no firewall on my laptop nor my router, so no port configuration is needed
i have read many articles for this problem but there is no solution, some say restart the router, others say uncheck the option to sync iphone over wi-fi, others suggest not hitting the "done" button after setting up homeshare on itunes, NONE of them work. My itunes library disappears from ym apple tv 2 after 5 minutes or soDid not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

Here's my understanding of the Pre-Order process: In my case, its Arcade Fire's Reflektor. You tell itunes that you want to pre-order the album, and pay immediately for only the content that is downloaded at the time. In my case that was a single song. When the album is released, you receive an email informing of the availability, with a link to the Album on iTunes. You don't pay for the just-released album until you download it.
The thing is, in iTunes (iOS and Mac), I see "PURCHASED" beside each of the songs that I have not downloaded (which is actually not the case.) I don't see anyway, either on iOS, or on iTunes 11 on Lion, that facilitates downloading of the content that I've "pre-ordered." Check For Available Downloads in iTunes on Mac shows nothing. Clicking Complete My Album doesnt do anything for me (and it appears that the pre-order extra content is not available anyway!)
