I want a bigger Cursor, and new color, too.

As a photographer, I maintain a neutral gray/blue desktop color and use hi-res monitors. So, my finder cursor is small, and hard to find. How do I change the color and size of the cursor?

Here's how you make the cursor larger. Go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse & Trackpad tab > slide the "cursor size:" slider to your preferred size.
I can't help with changing it's color. Sorry.

So my question is this:
Is there any reason I wouldn't want to just set the above values and use them all the time?
I fully understand the concepts of gamma and pixel blending (and I think it's great that Photoshop has this feature), but I ask this question here because there may be subtleties of how Photoshop uses these settings I'm not aware of, and notably they are NOT set this way by default with Photoshop CS6.

Nope. I can easily see the differences in a line of lower case L characters. I don't know how well this will show for others, but here are screen grabs of the various settings. Of course you'll have to look at these at full size. On my well-calibrated sRGB monitor the gamma 1.0 text clearly has the least variation across the lines of characters in apparent brightness.
Gamma calibration and sharpness of the viewer's monitor will figure into how these look.

I wanted the to create a new color in the default calendar from Apple, but I do not know how that goes.
Perhaps someone can explain to me how this works.

If you mean you want to change a color of a calendar category or create a new one, you cannot do that, what is pre-loaded is what you get and cannot be edited.

It's the same in Dreamweaver's Live view. It shows the new color on Desktop view and not in the cell phone or tablet view. Also, I changed the font itself in one of the DIVs and it shows up in the new font on the desktop view and website viewed thru the computer, but, not on the tablet or cell phone. Can someone please explain. I want to be able to change the fonts and colors for viewing in the tablet and cell phone, also. The fonts were all standard fonts. Sans-erif and Verdana and Arial were tried. Thanks.

which resolution are you using when you use your monitor? Is that resolution supported through the monitor’s VGA port? (You’d probably have better throughput by using an adapter for the HDMI port or DVI port instead.) When you say that the trackpad doesn’t work, does that mean that the cursor is not visible on the monitor, or that it physically does not work, such that clicks are not registered, &c.?

I have been using itunes all day and then it wanted me to install a newer version. When I did it said I can't because it's missing mdsvr80 or something so i downloaded that now it has another error. How do I get itunes back the way it was or to work?

Any Help? I bought a MacBook Air, but decided to return it for the newest model, and I wanted to back it up so that I can then back it up on my new MacBook Air. I didn't understand the option to Inherit or start a new back up, and therefore selected the option to create a new backup. I believe I should have selected to Inherit backup history so that when i back it up on the new MackBook Air, it appears the same as the one I'm returning.... Is there anyway that i can re-select the option to Inherit backup history for time machine?

The iCloud backup includes most things except non-iTunes purchased but the iTunes backup does not include those either. For what iCloud includes see:

They will have to be answered the first time when purchasing from a new computer or device.

I had no issue putting in my new Apple ID everywhere else, I could sign out of the old and inactive account and then sign back in using my new and proper one. However, after the update to 7.3 it did a whole welcome to yr iPad and a set up thing and it went to set up iCloud and had my old Apple ID in grey where I can't change or edit it, it wants the password, when I put in the old password, it say yr Apple ID is incorrect but yet it won't let me change it??????? Sign out and back into your apple id from Settings>iTunes and App stores>(Your apple ID)>Sign Out and then sign in again with the new address. Close app store from running in the background (or restart the phone if your unsure how to do this). If when trying to update any apps they are still asking for the old apple ID, delete and re-install those apps.

I am currently still within the 14 day return/exchange window but how can I exchange it if the new ipad mini release date isn't until "later in November", which would be beyond the 14 days from my purchase date? If apple announces a new version of a product you just purchased but won't actually release it for more than 14 days, how can you possibly exchange the one you just bought? Is my only option to return the one I bought on the 10th (so return by 10/24) and then not have an iPad until the new one is available for purchase? Or would it make any sense to return the one I bought, get a new one, which would presumably have another 14 day return window, and then exchange THAT one for the new ipad mini w/ retina when it comes out (hopefully within that second 14 day window)?

Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.
