I want a fresh load with each reload not a page from history i need my changes to show up each time i load a page
I am a web designer and need to be able to reload the entire page fresh each time i make a change so i can test things i just changed on the website how do ni make this happen this was not an issue in the past but now the banners on the site stay the same and they should change with each reload
If you hold the Shift key when you reload (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+r) then Firefox should disregard cached files and re-request everything.
Are you changing the banner URL to prevent use of a cached banner?

Steps
Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button () to turn it on.

Having purchased a Bluray of Les Mis with a digital download, I am unable to download the film through iTunes with each time I try it stops at 1.43GBytes. I have attempted both Win8 PC and iPad with the same result. Any ideas?

cuz opening the gif 20 times from my hard disk is a lot of time loss....

Sync wants to add/delete everything each time Blackberry is connected.
I have DM6 and Bold . Each time I connect my phone to the Desktop, sync prmopts to delete everything and then add it all back in.

KenHow do you have your preferences set? I don't have this happening with my iPad, possibly because I changed the following:
1. Disabled the auto-sync
2. In the Photos tab of the device in iTunes, I have it set to sync photos from iPhoto BUT I checked the "Use selected..." button, rather than the "All..." button.
I still have a problem with iPhoto wanting to import photos from my iPhone that it has already imported but it seems to be restricted to the ones I took with the camera, even though they were imported by iPhoto months and years ago!
If changing your settings to something similar to mine doesn't fix it, you may have to do a restore on the iPad. Call Apple for help. -
I want to access iCloud with POP3 protocol, NOT IMAP
I want my mail and contacts stored LOCALLY, not on your server. I do NOT want to use IMAP protocol for my iCloud account, I want to use POP3. I have paid for my email account for over 10 years, and still list it at "mac.com". If I cannot do this I will fianlly have to DUMP any connection with Apple-based email. What a betrayal! Who decided FOR me that I want IMAP. I want POP3.
I know I'm not communicating with Apple here. They do not listen.
I use the MobileMe/iCloud precisely for synching multiple devices. As soon as they are synched, I delete them from the common server and store them locally on my devices. This allows me to save different mail and contacts on different devices. I have control of my information locally. THAT is the point of POP3. I only use the servers for synching
I want the ability to synch them but not to be FORCED to synch them. As I say, I have been doing this for over 10 years with my mac.com account.
I am looking for anyone who has managed to subvert Apple's enforced policy and succeeded in accessing with POP3. -
That's SwitchHosts. Uninstalled it, removed from profile, but still FF starts with New tab and not Home Page. Is there a line in about:config that needs changing???
That didn't work. But, I did remember to do a System Restore, and that seems to have fixed it. SwitchHosts is no friend of mine. Even the MVP program has limits. I wish these programs did not try to take over my computer and they should have good uninstall features.

What's a simple data base to use? I want to include photos with each item (jewelry)..
Okay, here's what I want to do. The wife's got at bunch of the wife's jewelry plus a few rare coins that need to go into the safety deposit box soon but before that, I need at least one photo of each item along with its details. This is the first time I've done something like this so it'll be a learning experience. I plan to get an iPad sometime in the next month but right now I'm just experimenting; using a point and click camera and a notepad. (Question, would my iPod Touch make this easier in any way?)
Can you recommend a simple and inexpensive app that would make that process relatively painless? Until, the iPad arrives, my handwritten notes will go onto a document on my MacBook Pro....?
Anyway, there's got a be an easier way to do this.

PS: Apologies if this isn't the best community for this question. Apple's support options seem to have really changed since I was last here. Feel free to suggest other groups who could answer the above question better.There are several home inventory apps available in the app store. Many include the ability to add photos and most would probably work on the Touch as well as an iPad.

Make sure your computer iTunes is up to date. (iTunes 11.1.1)
Now, do it one iPhone at a time; When you connect and select iPhone in computer iTunes sidebar (iTunes > View > Show Sidebar), what iPhone name do you see?
iTunes is smart enough to tell the differences if each has a unique name.
Point One checked.
Right click on iPhone name in Sidebar and choose Backup.
Do the same for the second iPhone.
Make a copy of the backups in computer to another location (Just incase something gone wrong)

I use iWeb 9, for now, to publish a 1.45 GB website. I have moved to Blue Host and the site is publishing. But, after publishing and quitting iWeb, when I reopen the program it acts as if the entire site needs to be republished. (All pages are once again red.) While it recognizes the site exists, it tells me that it will republish the entire site, which considering the size is very problematical. It takes about seven hours. Blue Host's position, which is probably valid, is since it is publishing to the hosting site, they have no way to help. I really don't want to have to rebuild the site for scratch with new software at this point because that will be a time consuming job. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
When iWeb creates a "site" it produces a folder of all the required files and an external index.html file. These two are uploaded to the root folder on the server by the iWeb FTP.
If the "public_html" folder is the root folder, the directory/path field should be left blank otherwise, the next time you upload files, they will be uploaded to the "site" folder and not the root folder. This means that you will have two versions of your site - one inside the other.
The problem is that most support techs don't seem to understand the above since it is not the "normal" way to structure a website.

This is more in line with the "normal" method of publishing sites but will break certain links such as in the case of the RSS feed - if any.
iWeb also produces an internal index.html file which is a replica of the external one. Unlike most other websites, this index.html file is NOT the one for the "Home" page but merely a redirect to it. This is what confuses tech support people! -

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -
1st problem was IMac running slow. Shut down and unplugged several times with no correction. Eventually, shut down, unplug and reboot resulted in wallpaper background eventually coming on screen but no icons. Nothing after that.
Kurt, do you know which exact iMac this is?
Have you blown the dust out lately?
Does it do better if allowed to cool off for a couple of hours?
What do you see if you hold Option or alt key at bootup?
Does it boot from the install disc holding c key at bootup? -

If you aren't doing any heavy duty photo editing
the base model should work just fine. I would suggest
that if you go with the base model, bump the RAM
up to at least 4gig, but get it at Newegg or direct from
Crucial or Kingston, it will be way cheaper. -

Wow, My first time back to the forum in 3 month and it's all new!
Since I found "the" answer to a new problem I've encountered I'd like to share it.
I filmed part of a wedding with a little canon still camera (S3IS) on a 4 gb SD card and when I tried to import some of the clips (AVI) in PP2 it failed. A msg told me that my clips were either on the wrong format or corrupted! Strange because I have done it b4 whithout problem and also the first 20 clips were ok. as for the others they opened normally on windows media player and also played ok on movie maker. I also tried to load them into SceneAnalyser Live but without success. However I decided to make a movie out of my problem clips on Movie Maker and ended up with a MVW file that loaded ok into premiere! I tried to change the extention to this format but no go! I wonder if I converted all my faulty AVI files in this format wether it would work, most likely I imagine as I think this is what I actually did, but the long way around.Anyway it's quite a relief to know I will be able to use my clips.
