I want a PDA for my confidential data

I have a LifeDrive, on which I keep my confidental data and always keep it off the grid.  (I also have a smart phone, which is, of course, connected.)  I would like to continue this set-up, but see that when I give up my last Windows XP machine, I'll have to give up my LifeDrive (cannot sink any more) - is that correct?  Palm no longer makes PDAs?  Also, I prefer the Palm calendar & several other features, such as graffiti, in the Palm platform over Outlook - must I give this up?  Is anyone aware of an upgrade to LifeDrive which, like the LifeDrive, can be kept off the grid, but still have similar features and operate under Vista/Win 7 O/S?

If you'll do some searching here on the Forum, you'll find many Win7 users happily syncing their Palm devices.  Win7 32bit presents little problems, while the 64bit version is limited to Wireless syncing.
Your LifeDrive has Wifi built into it, so if you follow my instructions for Wifi Hotsync with Vista64, you should succeed.   Some software might not work that hasn't yet developed a desktop client (if one is required for HotSyncing) for Win7.

Palm no longer makes PDAs, correct.  You might want to look into preserving the longevity of your LifeDrive by doing a Compact Flash Upgrade.  Usedpdaparts.com will remove the fragile micro hard drive from the device, and replace it with a CF slot and a 4gb memory card with the PalmOS installed on it.
No one can "make" you give up anything if you don't want them to!  I'm sure there are still folks using DOS as their main operating system, but Time Marches On...
