I want default language to be english please.
I recently bought a Nokia lumia 920. The model number is something like RM-821-eu-denmark-251. I suspect the default language is set to the danish language. I don't understand this language and can't figure out how to make it English. Please can the device model number be changed? I can't read help files,understand calendars. Please someone should help me. Regards.
You may try changing the language yourself taking help from HERE
Go to settings-->language+region-->Phone language ...select ENGLISH -->Restart Phone ..

The issue is we created function using 'arabic' text in it, which runs perfect in the english session, but doesnt gets value in the arabic session.

I found the solution for the above function.
In the same function I removed the static arabic values replacing with code values from the value set.
In my scenario there is a value set where some of these values exists, and other we can add there.
Kindly let me know if someone was successful by using the arabic text in the coding and defaulting the language in conc prog as English.

Hello all,
Is there a way to set a default language for every user (even users from LDAP) that login to portal ?
I know how to change the language in the 'General information' tab for a user - but i want
to set a default language for all users including LDAP users.
Currently the default value of the language is empty.
Is there a way to do it ?
Any help will be most appreciated !

However - this article explains how to set the desired languages in the list of languages, but
it doesn't explain how to set a Default language for all users.
I can narrow the number of languages in the language list - but still the language filed for every user is empty.
We use Netweaver 2004s sp15 and the default language is - no language (which means that the
browser language is the default).
The reason i want to set a default language is that our developers used Visual Composer to
create iViews - and the errors from BackEnd R3 systems are always in English.
Even when i set the language i desire as the Master Conneciton Language - the errors are still
in English.
We've noticed that only when we set the desired language for the user - only then the error is
displayed in that language.
I even changed the properties file of the portal, used ForcedMandatory Language - still
the language field is empty.
Is there at least a way to change multiple users' language ??

I have seen the instructions below but cannot find the Personalization section?
I currently have a US English spell-checker, I need a UK English one.
Changing The Default Language
Make sure you are on your homescreen.
Tap on the Settings app to open the Settings App.
Scroll to the Personalization section.
Tap on Language.Have just found that if you select Install Language Pack but then, do NOT download it, just below and to the right of "Download Now" is "View other versions".
Click on that and the second item is Version28.0
Hover your mouse on that and you get " + Add to Firefox" - so select that. -

Changeing language (e.g. to have english menues or keybord layout) on a system, took place in applications too only if the application supports that language, or uses by default the system librarys to adopt the language settings.
Not all applications use automatically the system librarys of your Mac for language settings or spell checking. Most will do so, some only during installation, some never.
Applications can have own language settings others have only the installation language available.
Have you checked this on Chrome (Wrench -> Options -> Advanced -> Change Fonts and language settings -> Language -> Google Chrome language) and your VPN Client?

My iTunes application is in English, but when I log onto the iTunes Store it shows up in Italian (yes, Italian). When I log onto my account (or what I've figured out is my account), it reverts back to English. Does anyone know how to get the inital iTunes Store back to English?

Working on SQL Azure. I'm running queries that are date dependent and so I need to set the default language of the user to be British (to get dd/mm/yyyy format). How can I do this in Azure. Create Login and Alter Login are restricted and when I query sys.sql_logins
in master database I can see that the users have default language if US English.

Microsoft Azure SQL Database does not support using DEFAULT_LANGUAGE options with
ALTER LOGIN statement.
SQL Azure stores the data of Date/Time in UTC timezone and it does not support changing the timezone. You should convert date format and apply to the end user applications by yourself. Or you can try to store the date/time with datetimeoffset
data type which is support in SQL Azure.

Documents have different default languages for comments than body text
Greetings. I am a teacher and sometimes the documents I get from my students appear to have two default languages. For example, the body text will be in English, but when I try to leave a comment in the margin, Pages '09 thinks I am typing in French. What is happening here? I can open inspector and change the default language back to English, but this has to be done for EVERY comment, since "Select All" will only work within an individual comment OR the whole body text...not both.
Changing the language for some text only changes it for that text. It is not a universal setting.
Language is part of the text just like bolding or the font.
What you need to do is change the style that is attached to the comments. Select all the text in a comment and change that to English:
Menu > View > Show Styles Drawer > a style will be selected > click on the arrow next to the style and update the style
This will apply to the styles in that particular document.
I am curious what your circumstances are that the students have different language settings set. Are you in Canada? Or are you teaching a French language class?

How do I disable default language? I want to download in English
I go to an English site to download a free trial in English (English version) then everything changes to Japanese (because I am in Japan and using a Japanese software). Why don't sites give an option rather than automatically forcing a change to default language? How can I get over this problem and keep dialogue boxes in English?
I found the answer to the problem from an iTunes posting. Go to the Mac App Store (look under the Apple menu in Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), click on the flag symbol in the lower right corner of the window and select the country. Problem solved.

For a Danish dictionary, I suggest the matches to this search. I think CocoaSpell is the solution, but I have unfortunately not tried it myself. -
I have a few languages installed, and Firefox's spellcheck seems to decide which language to use ''at random''. So I have to keep manually selecting the language I want. 99% of the time I want English. So how can I set English as a permanent default language, and leave the manual selection for those infrequent occasions when I want another language spellchecked?

I've just rented Monsters vs Aliens on my Apple TV 3 and once we switched to default language - Russian we have experienced major lag in sound, apx. 1 sec delay with the picture. English soundtrack works fine, once we put Russian back - the delay is back. How can this be fixed? Please advise. Thank you in advance.

I've had the iphone 5 since it was released and have already had to change my original charger for a new one as the connection broke at the lighting adapter end of the wire. 5 months in to the new charger and exactly the same has happened. No I'm in
