I want help regarding developer suite of gemalto framework

I am trying to run the java card epurse example given in the developer suite of gemalto framework.And in that code if i try to modify the code for converting byte data into decimal , then its showing error in the .gbp file.
Kindly help me out if anyone has any idea about what this problem is.

it doesnt show any error msg ..its jus that a red cross of error appears on the .gbp file.and if we still try to run it then error msg - "error exists in following project" displays.

select Downloads>my company appln->then select which version/release you want to download.
There is no trial versions available.

Installing developer suite on ubuntu 8.04

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu since a couple of months now and i'am very happy of it.
I want to install developer suite 10gr2 on ubuntu. Of course I can do that with an xp virtualization.
But as the XE database is also available for ubuntu, with explanations for installation http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/linux/install/xe-on-kubuntu.html I want to do the same with forms builder.
Is there a tutorial for that ? is it even possible?

Palm OS Developer Suite and 9i lite

It seems that the only way to develop 9i lite applications for Palm devices is with Codewarrior. Is that the case? The libraries in ORACLE_HOME/Mobile/Sdk/palm/sdk/lib are not recognized by Palm OS Developer Suite.

You should install 9iDS in a separate ORACLE_HOME. The iDS tools access the database using JDBC or SQLNet, so it is fine to change the ORACLE_HOME (which is why you can connect to any database on any machine, even if your ORACLE_HOME is not set). A common practice is to create a shell script for the database, and a shell script for iDS. That way when you want to work on the database, you can easily switch the homes. Take a look at Note 101723.1 on metalink.oracle.com for an example.

I have installed 9i 9.2.0.1.0 on my Redhat 7.3 box and now want to install Developer Suite 9.0.2.0.0 on the same machine. The installation instructions state that the Developer Suite needs to be installed as user 'oracle' in group 'oinstall' (same as 9i) and requires a different ORACLE_HOME.
I seem to be missing something here. How can you set ORACLE_HOME to a different value for the same user? If I change it to install the Developer Suite, will I still be able to access the database?
After much ado getting the database installed, I figure I better ask before trying something that may mess up the database installation.

Want to install Oracle Developer Suite 10g R2 on Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have windows 7 (64-bit) installed on my laptop. I want to install Oracle developer suite 10g R2 on this machine but when I run the Oracle Universal Installer, it gives me error stating "operating system version: must be 5.0, 5.1, 5.2. Actual 6.1 Failed<<<<

Can anyone please help me to solve this problem.

Developer Suite 10 is not certified or supported to be installed on Win7 (64bit). Although it can be done, you will have problems later if you manage to get it installed. If you really want to have it on your Win7 laptop, I encourage you to install "Windows XP Mode", which is part of Windows Virtual PC. This is free to licensed Win7 users (does not apply to Home edition). Refer to the following:

9i Developer suite login problem. help needed ASAP

i installed oracle 9i developer suite, my problem is i can't login. this is the error ora12560: TNS: oracle adapter error.
or
if i put the hostname it displays a no listener error and closes. i tried to create a listener in net configuration assistant, but i can't see it in services.
i'm using windows XP. and not conneted to any machine.
do i need any changes on my window settings?

check your operating system network protocole is TCP/IP is installed if so check is there any problem with these protocoles. this error is encounter generally due operating system network protocoles it is not an oracle error. here is discription.

Please help me to installation of developer suit of 10g

i download the developer suit 1og on my hard disk and i unzip all the files in disk1 and disk2 folders. when i start the setup from the disk1 folder and they run the oracle installion wizard but after that they give the message specify the file loacation. i specified the file location this c:\disk1\stage1\production.jar but they did't go through. please help why this is not go through.

Hi! i'm a student of computer science, and i need to install developer suite for a proyect i need to do for one of my classes. I have a problem installing developer suit on Windows Vista. After i download and unzip both disk, i run the setup from the installer folder and i get an alert that says: "abnormal termination. There's been an internal error. Send the following files to the Oracle Suport Services: Unknown, Unknow, Unknow". I've also tryed with the setup from the main folder and i get the same alert. I don't know what to do, i've tryed setting the compatibility mode to windows XP, runnig as administrator, changing the performance configuration of my computer and nothing. Please help me to install the program!

Regarding Oracle 10G Developer Suite On Oracle 9i R2

Actually i am new to oracle *9i R2* because i worked on Oracle 7 in that i was getting by default forms and reports will be installed. after inquiring with my friends they said that in oracle *9i R2* there wont be forms and reports installed for that you have to install Oracle 10G Developer Suite. but i am having a doubt that weather both can be installed on the same machine in the same operating system.

Yes we can use 2 databases on same machine on same operating system but u need to use different Oracle Homes for each version. But u can't ran Form 10g wid Oracle 9i database. You need to use only 10G forms Reports wid 10G Database.

Installation of Developer Suite 10g in Linux

I've done the configuration of Developer Suite 10g on Windows OS. But i want to know how can i configure the Developer Suite 10g in Linux platform.
Any link for this would help me a lot.
I have done some configuration, but i'm facing some problems with it. Like i've compiled the form in windows version, but when i try to compile the form in
linux, i'm facing the problems. In the form there are some libraries attached to it. When compiled in Windows, it got compiled successfully, but when i compile it
in Linux, it is unable to find the procedures and function in the libraries. To come out of this situation, i've placed all the libraries and the forms in a single folder. still
the problem exists. It is giving an error saying that the Invalid identifier, whereever i've mentioned the procedures/functions of libraries. Even in windows, i've all
the forms and libraries in the same folder.

First of all which Linux....????I am successful in installing it. It is Redhat Linux 5.0 Enterprise edition. But i'm facing the problem in configuring it.
I checked out from Oracle web site, this linux version supports the Developer Suite 10g. If u can send me any document

I've set the forms path so that i can run the forms using the url in the browser. But i feel that my configuration is incomplete. As i've mentioned already that when my form is
compiled in the windows, it is getting compiled. But when i compile in linux, it is showing the error like Invalid Identifier. Here the Identifier name it is dispalying is the name of function(Which
is in the attached library).

I have installed what you want to install on window 7 Ultimate 64-Bit,
It worked , but I needed to configure (TNSnames.cfg,create listener.cfg,sqlnet.cfg), I extremely recommend using windows XP or using XP mode(I haven't try XP mode but it's most likley to work).
Are you gonna Use internet forms or reports?

Frank, it's clear you took my post as a personal insult for a product you've worked on in a major way. That was not my intent, and for that, I apologize. I hope you will take most of my other posts here so far (the overwhelming majority of which are to answer questions for others instead of seek help for myself) into consideration.
I stand corrected on overlooking the enhancements related to the interfaces with Java.
There are perhaps a number of viewpoints to Chandra's question. Our users, who are focused on using the applications to do their job-- well, having the forms environment moved from client-server to the web is almost irrelevant to them, and losing client-server was no advantage. I guess I looked at it too narrowly from a pure Forms programmer's point-of-view. One of the things you describe as a new feature-- the ability to see GIFs in the builder, well since I saw ICOs in the builder in 6i, I just don't see an advantage as much as a change/fix to make it work like before.
Since I never looked hard at 9i release (which I admitted), perhaps I am ignorant to some new features. I went to OTN and looked up the 9.0.2 documentation, and didn't see what these 20+ features might be. If you would point me to a specific document, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Downloading 9iDB and 9i Developer Suite....Need Advice Please.

Currently I have Oracle 8iDB and 6i Developer Suite installed on my PC. I want to upgrade it to 9i both DB and Dev. Suite. Since I am novice to 9i version, is there anyone who can guide me of the ups and downs in this case by answering the following questions or if more issues, which I don't have any clue of:
1. Should I download 9i Database or 9i Application Server....I am not sure about which one.
2. How much time does it take normally on AOL internet servers to download 9iDB and 9i DEV?
3. Do they call it 9i JDeveloper as we call it 6i Developer in lower version or it has some different name?
4. Are there any complicated issues or special instructions to be kept in mind while upgrading from 8iDB to
9iDB and 6i Dev. to 9i Dev.?
If there are any special notes or guidelines other these, also please mentioned them. I'll be much much thankful for your help in this regard.

- The 9i database contains the client & server database components. 9iAS is the 9i application server. You probably want the former, not the latter.
- The 9i database download is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 Gb. Unless you have broadband, you're probably much better off going to store.oracle.com and plunking down $40 for the CDs.
- JDeveloper 9i is the followup product to JDeveloper 6.

Be aware that Developer Suite 10gR2 is not supported for use on Windows 7. Installing it on this platform may result in undesirable behavior.
