I want iCal to be my default..NOT ENTOURAGE...please please help!
i have Entourage installed only because it came with Office...i don't use it...i use iCal as my calendar and whenever i'm on the internet and want to save a calendar date it launches it into entourage...it drives me crazy..i want it to go directly to iCal...any help?? please!!

Drag an event from iCal's window to the desktop. Select the ics file on the desktop and type Command-I to open the info window for the file. In the "open with" section click the listed application (probably Entourage) and change it to iCal. Then click the change all button just below it to make iCal the default.
See if the above procedure takes care of your issue.

Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro. If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook. Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad. Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.

I backed up my Iphone to itunes so i can do the new Update to IOs 7 and so now that i updated it i want to backup and restore and its not working, Please help!
An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. I do not use or have not signed up for a MobileMe Account but I am getting duplicates in my iCal for some reason. All discussions I read are pointing to the MobileMe being the problem but it is not. Please help me. There must be another reason all my entries appear twice.

hi! new to imac, just updated to mac os x 10.7.3 and it changed my language to greek (same as my location). original set up was in English. Finder is not responding - i have tried to change it from system preferences but to no avail. I really want to change it back to en. please help!!! Thanks

Make sure you are using either OpenDNS or Google Public DNS. It may in fact resolve it, but there could be other factors or causes.

The Restrictions passcode is part of the backup, so you would not want to restore from backup. To restore as new, just connect the phone to the computer and iTunes, and restore. If you cannot just click on restore, you may need to put the device into recovery mode. Search for infomation on that.

BurrWalnut mentioned, first please run a virus scan to eliminate virus infection (if AV program is not opened in adobe)
The files association could be corrupted in your situation, apart from the solution posted in the first reply, I also suggest you check Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set your Default Programs or Associate a file type or protocol
with a progra,, manually check the association and check if it can do some help.
Add: another way to open restore point is launching it in recovery console, please refer to this guide

Else the only option you have is to fight with the Apple Store "geniuses" to get a free replacement for out of warranty 4S devices. Or try a third party repair like iFixit. The wifi chip might cost you 60-80$ but it is better than paying Apple 200$.
Overheating is the culprit in 4S devices. And its been getting worse with ever successive iOS 7 update. I think 7.0.4 was the final nail in the coffin.
They are not getting my money anymore.. I've had iPhones every since they launched... but no more. Feels like a dead investment after facing this issue. I can never sell my iPhone 4S even if I want to. There have been cases where users just sold their 4S devices, the new owner updated to 7.0.4, wifi stopped working and the seller had to give a refund.

TBH, I can't get a replacement because I am in India where 4S was never launched as an unlocked device and there are no Apple retail stores. Only resellers here like Vodafone/Reliance/Airtel. Downgrading iOS levels is not supported by Apple.
iOS 6 levels should run fine on your iPod Touch 4g but you should first update to iOS 6.1.2 which is the latest to see if that helps your problem.
