I want my Mac book to synchronise with my Mac mini, and visa versa, so that I can work on either computer knowing that everything i do will be accessible from either computer - do i need to buy os x server to do this or is there a different way?
I want to know that if I create a document on my macbook it will be available on my mac mini and visa versa, is there an easy way of making two computers synchronise.
Currently my older mac book contains loads of old documents that I transferred to my mac mini via the apple migration software when I bought my mac mini but unless I always create documents on my mac mini I start to work between computers that makes it very confusing and difficult to manage.

Turn on file sharing. If they are both on your wifi network you can share via wifi. Or set up an ethernet connection between the two machines.

I'm trying to get the javascript to make two text fields required before a form is submitted. Essentially they have to fill in text in either Text1 or text2. If they leave them both blank, the form cannot be submitted. Any thoughts?

Apples dont come with say, a big manual like old things used to. Basically its a just a quick reference guide, everything on specifics is online

Hi I have only 2 days in USA to buy Mac Book Pro 13" with Retina display. The issue here is that I'd like to get the westerns spanish keyboard and at the apple store the guy said it will take 6 days. Apple keep telling me I need to update to icloud but I'm not sure if Lion will work on my Mac. I've upgraded to snow leopard which seems to have knackered my .me or .mac account (whatever it's called now), so I don't seem to have any option but to upgrade to Lion if I every want to see my emails again.

It isn't the retail version, because that's 10.6.3.
Assuming it's the correct disc (i.e. the one that shipped with your Mac), you need to boot from it again.
OK the language page.
From the installer screen, ignore the continue button, go to the menu bar and choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
In DU, select your internal drive in the sidebar (the top item with the makers name and serial no.).
Run Repair Disk. If that comes up as disk OK, click the partition tab. Select the partiton from the drop-down above the graphic; 1 partiton is all you need.
Go to the options button and ensure that the partition scheme is GUID and the file system to Mac OS Extended (Journalled). Name the partiton (usually Macintosh HD), click Apply.
When the Macintosh HD volume appears below the drive name, quit DU and see if you can then install.
If the screen after the language screen doesn't show the menu bar, it may be necessary to use another Mac to do the job with the MB in Firewire Target Disc Mode. If it won't boot in TDM, or the MB doesn't have FireWire then it's getting very difficult. -

Technically there is no "hard drive" in the Retina MacBook Pro, as all models come with "flash" storage which isnt a "hard disk drive." So if you are wondering why you are not hearing classic hard drive chatter and spin-up sounds then this is the reason.
Other than that, logically the devices are treated the same, so as Kappy mentions you just have to enable it on your desktop or go to your computer name in the Finder sidebar under "Devices" or otherwise go to the top level of the system's folder structure to reveal any mounted volumes, including the internal drive. -

If you just do a normal time machine backup on your macbook pro and then plug that harddrive into your new air; you should be able to just use migration assistant to transfer all your files. You wouldnt need to upgrade to mountain lion on your macbook pro.

The same thing happened to me... Since two days the ******* thing keeps freezing after a while. Then I try to reboot and the screen goes white and it doesn't boot. If I wait like half an hour it boots again.
I thought it was a hardware problem, but the Apple Hardware Test founds nothing at all. I think it has to do with the software update I performed 2 days ago.

Mac don't come with iWork installed unless you configure it while buying your Mac online.
However, iWork can be purchased at the App Store. You can buy the apps individualy (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) too. -
