I want my old iTunes back, I am sick of uninstalling and reinstalling this new version. I just need my apps for my new iPhone6

how can I just get my old itunes back. I am not going to continue uninstalling and reinstalling the new version. I had it on my computer, and for some reason it crashed and I started this commotion. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the help of Fix It and advice from many people. Every time I get a new error. Sick to death of it. I only need it to sync my apps to my phone and to use iCloud.
If anyone can get me back to some other version that I can use, I would really appreciate it.

If you really want to roll back to 11.4 uninstall all iTunes/Apple components, restore the pre-upgrade version of the library as described inEmpty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash, then download and install from one of these direct links:

First, for the forum view issue. Go to My Settings (on the right) and in General Settings change the Topic Page View to Flat. Click Save. Posts should show up in the order they were written.

Also, since you said that you've gone through the 5 Rs, I would assume that you used the iPod Updater to restore (since there is no other way of doing it and you don't "run" the 5 Rs).
When you restored, did you use the latest updater?
You may also want to try formatting the iPod through Windows. Connect it to the computer and when it appears in My Computer right click it and go to format. Does anything happen? Can you format the iPod through Windows?

Me too - running iTunes 10.5.3 on Windows 7. Will allow me to sign in to iTunes, download app updates and then if I either close iTunes or try to sign out of my iTunes account it all freezes. So frustrating, because my understanding is that iTunes saves the library file when exiting. So, everytime I update apps I lose all the downloads.

I've solved the same problem and in order for you to do soo you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

I cannot reset my Ipod touch. After about 60 min itunes will freeze . I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything several times.

I am usually pretty good in solving my own problems, but this is one is taking me back. My computer and itunes will not reconize my ipod. Itunes is telling me that I need to restore it factory settings. When I try to dwnloads and extracts then it stops or freezes and I get error codes 42408 or ? error 14. I can't find my data file, in order to back it up. After going to Documents - Palm One, the only thing that looks like a user name is a file with no data. Somewhere there has to be another file with all my data, since data is available when I open the Palm One software on my computer. Yesterday, I went to the site for levno computers, using my web access for my work email. I opened the page to view the outlet items and was never able to get back out of it. Finally used ctrl,alt,delete and ended the task. After that the this is what my task bar looks like, I cannot resize or exit using tabs at the top or bottom they are not showing, nor is start showing in the lower left hand corner where I like it. If you're talking about the menu bar, press ALT or F10 in your keyboard to make the Menu Bar temporarily visible. If you want it to be permanently visible, go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'', or right-click the Navigation Toolbar (the Reload button, for example) and select ''Menu Bar''.
If this doesn't help, right-click the navigation toolbar, select ''Customize...'' and click ''Restore Default Set''. If it doesn't appear right away, try pressing ALT or F10. You can go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'' to make it permanently visible, or right-click the Navigation Toolbar and select ''Menu Bar''.
If none of this helps, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Try disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal.

Followed these instructions with a few changes. (Windows 7 x64)
Uninstalled programs in the following order:
- Itunes
- Apple Application Support
- Apple Software Update
- Bonjour
- Apple Mobile Device Support (uninstall failed due to Apple Mobile Device failure)***
- Restarted System
- Redownloaded Itunes from website.
- Run installer as Administratot
- Succefully installed
***To uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
- Right clicked on Apple Mobile Device Support, Clicked Charge (second option), Repair, Next (failed to repari)
- Right clicked the Apple Mobile Device Support in the Programs and Features window and clicked Repair (third option in drop down list). (repaired successfully)
- Uninstall successful after the repair.
Below is a guess at a quicker solution:
Looking at the uninstalls, it may be worth trying to repair the Apple Mobile Device Support through the Program and Features window before trying to uninstall everything. It may be a faster fix for the freezing service. After the repair is successful the itunes update may work.

Dear avid iTunes users - I have cracked it!!!
The response from Apple/iTunes was extremely poor and did not solve the problem.
I have a look in msconfig and observed which applications/services were running - one of which was the 'Apple Application Support'
So ... I had a look at what was in this folder and found the APS Daemon.exe file causing all the trouble.
So ... I simply deleted the Apple folder found in C:\program files\common files\.
I did a restart and did not get the MSCVCR80.dll or Error 7 (windows 126) error messages.
I reinstalled the current version of iTunes (for the 16th time!)
Hey presto!!!
IT WORKED :-O Woooohooo!!!
So ... to all those smarty-pants boffin-brianiacs out there (apple/iTunes): this is how you do it!!!!!!!!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO UNINSTALL ALL THE APPLE/QUICKTIME OR RELATED PROGRAMS - JUST DELETE THE APPLE FOLDER IN THE C:\PROGRAM FILES DIRECTORY.
Nuff said.
