I want my old pictures on my new phone
I recently received an iphone for the holidays and love it! Wonderful new and inventive features, but I did not think I would have to part with so many of the ammenities I previously had.
I have photos saved on my computer (Windows XP driven HP Pavilion) that I would like to put on my iphone, how do I do this? Better yet, I would love to get the pictures from my previous at&t 3125 on my new iphone. Can someone assist me?

Its as simple as selecting the folder these photos are stored in under the Photos tab in the iPhone menu in iTunes. Click on your iPhone on the left hand bar when it is plugged in and you will see the photos tab.
Better yet, I would love to get the pictures from my previous at&t 3125 on my new iphone. Can someone assist me?
Same as above as soon as you export those photos from your 3125

Restore the backup of your old phone to your new one. That will recover your camera roll photos and other data. This explains how to restore an iCloud backup: iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud.

yesterday i plugged my new Iphone in to my laptop and connected it up with Itunes. Itunes then deleted all my pictures off my new phone and reset my new phone with all the settings of my old phone! how do i get my pictures back????? Before you say Icloud they are not on there

future reference import your pics to your PC, that way you can always sync it back using itunes

iFunBox, iBackupBot and DiskAid
am sure they will help you find what you want and then you can just copy them to your computer.
if you use Mac, iPhoto will import everything for you. -
ok, so I transferred my 3S info to my 4S by restoring from an old phone backup. But SIRI is gone and god knows what else?? Can I get my old stuff into the new phone and keep the 4S new functionality?
I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone. Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

About two years ago I bought an Ipod (4), recently I bought an Iphone 4S. I just want to transfer some songs from my old ipod to my new phone and I am not being capable to find a way in Itunes!! Any help???
Just transfer them from iTunes.
If they are not in iTunes. connect the iPod, then File > Devices > Transfer purchases.
Then connect the iPhone and sync these songs. -
Difficulties getting old backup data to new phone
So, I thought it would be a simple thing to do - But no.I had a Xperia ZR (with Lolipop) and bought myself a Z3 compact. Before I resetted my ZR and made a backup using the backup program that the phone has in it, not PC companion. The result was a nice 800mb file on the SD-card, with all the apps, messeges, contacts and so on on it. So far so good. The major problem starts when I was about to resett all my old data to my new phone, using the exact same program on the Z3 compact. It can´t find the file at all, there is no option in restoring my old data in that app "backup & restore". All files are there in a map called ´.semc-fullbackup´ but the app can´t obviously do anything with it. A little help would be much appriciated! P.S my Sony ZR is sold, so no luck there.. Cheers
There should be another option except for the one which requires the old phone found at Xperia transfer > Sony/Sony Ericsson device > Xperia backup from computer.

You can activate iMessage on the old one so it can get your iMessages. The old phone will NOT recieve SMS/MMS messages sent to your number.

Every time I plug in my iPhone 4 into iTunes, it always asks me if i want to "Set up as a new phone" or "restore from backup". But every time i click on restore from back up it deletes everything & that iTunes message is still there. Is something wrong with iTunes?
Apparently it does need to be restored because that is what it is requesting. You will need to restore it as New or from a recent backup if you made one.

New MBP...Want my old PBG4 data on new MAC
Last friday my PB G4 bit the dust. Took it to the Apple store genius bar and they were unable to fix the disk and told me it would have to be sent in. Since my MAC was 4 years old, I opted for a new MBP. I had been running OS X (10.5.4) with time machine back-up to a My Book 500GB. This morning I plugged the My Book into the new MAC but can't figure out how to get my old data on my new machine. When I open TM I see both machines there and if I open my old machine files my data is apparently there. How do I get all my old files, applications and data on my new MAC?

Bobyou can use Migration Assistant (it's in /Applications/Utilities) which allows Migration from TM backups. However, using MA to migrate from PPC to intel machines is very iffy. you can try it and see if it works. don't migrate any applications. migrate users only. reinstall the applications by hand.
