I want my podcast photos to show on the main page
Hello all,
I've been creating a podcast with recordings from Garageband. I add photos to Garageband and then those photos appear in each entry I create in iWeb.
That part is running smoothly.
However, on the main page I would also like the photos to appear next to the link for each entry. When I click "show photos," the don't show up.
Any thoughts?
If it's an AppleTV 1 (silver) it has HDMI and component.
Black AppleTVs only have HDMI.
The copy protection lobby insist that AppleTV uses HDCP copy protection for protected media and you are unlikely to find a legitimate consumer device that can convert video from HDMI to an analogue format to distribute to other TVs, VCRs, DVD recorders etc.

Podcast pictures not showing up on main page
I have made my first changes in iWeb '08 after using the previous version.
When I posted a new Podcast, which has a picture and was built in Garage Band as a Podcast, I knew I had to change the file tag after exporting from .m4a to .m4v (they STILL haven't fixed that yet???) and then import it into iWeb on my Podcast Enteries page. But when I go to my main Podcast page, the text representing the new podcast is present, but the picture is not. It is that way on iWeb and in Safari.

I made two copies: one from Garage Band and one exported from GB to disc where I changed the tag from .m4a to .m4v. They are called, "Direct From Garage Band" and "How to Recieve The Word."
Any ideas why there's no pic?WOOO HOOO Yes your above Trick Absolutely Worked....... Just uncheck the "Automatically include" under the Ipod Touch Prferences menu in Itunes 9 Tab and check all of the Playlists And Vwala your back in the game.... Thanks

I plugged in my iphone to sync, and then got the picture of cable and saying have to log in to itunes and now its asking me to restore
I do not want to restore as I have not backed up my pics contacts etc and I did not sign up to cloud
PLEASE HELP!!!!
Is there any way to just go back to the slide regular and omit this stage to restore
there must be something you can do so I dont loose everything on my phone

Barbara AnneIs the phone working if it is not connected to the computer? I would imagine it is not. If the same screen is being displayed, the only option you have is to restore. If you did not backkup the data prior to this, then you will not be able to recover it. At this point, the data is already gone.

I love the way Lightroom imported my .gpx files, automatically geocoded the photos, and show where I took them on the map.
Would love to export this lovely map and the photos which have been geocoded to the map.
Anyone know how to export this as an HTML file I can import into my web site.
I'm a Realtor in Berkeley, and integration of the elegant map and the photos. It would be perfect way to show my clients where the homes are, and what they look like.
IraYou probably didn't get an answer because none exists within Lightroom.
You can perform a screen caputre of the Lightroom map, and use the resulting JPG/GIF of your screen, however there is no way to hyperlink the point on the map to your photos.
You might want to consider a non-Lightroom solution, such as uploading the photos to an Album on Flickr (or one of many other photo sharing web sites) and using the mapping capabilites there, which would be hyperlinked to your photos, see example below. You can use Lightroom to geotag the photos and then use Lightroom to upload to Flickr (or other web site) and then use the web site to create and display the map -

You use Image Capture (in your Applications Folder) for that job - or upgrade to a later iPhoto.

my iphone 4 doesnt want to start . all it shows is the apple icon.i have tried holding the home button together with the lock button. nothing seems to work . please help.
Plug the iPhone in with the Wall Charger. Then while plugged in do the Reset again, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone Restarts. This usually begins to happen in less than 20 seconds time.
If you this does not work you can try to Restore the Firmware on your iPhone. If you decide to do this, connect your iPhone to your computer with iTunes open. Hold both the Home and Power buttons until the iPhone is detected by iTunes in Recovery Mode, this takes about 20 seconds time. Restore your iPhone.
If this does not work, you can try to Restore the Firmware on your iPhone in DFU Mode. Connect your iPhone to your computer with iTunes open. Hold both Home and Power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release the Power Button and keep holding the Home Button until iTunes recognizes the iPhone in Recovery Mode, about 20 seconds more time. Restore the iPhone.
If this does not work and you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage take your iPhone to Apple for resolution of the problem. -
My events photo albums have all been renamed with a number followed by IMPRT (deleting the date on which they were taken) Also the photo now showing on the top of each folder is taken from a different event and so is not actually in the album it is sitting on top of. This happened when I linked to itunes. Any idea how to restore it to how it looked before?
One thing that I find odd is that iTunes used to rebuild the .itl file when you deleted it. It seems as if the newer iTunes somehow broke this old capability. If you delete the .itl file it can't rebuild it- it simple treats this as if this is a fresh installation and completely ignores the fact that the .xml file has all the data in it. I think Apple needs to bring back this old "feature". Of course, the negative with that was that you lost all of the "Date Added" info along with some other stuff but at least it still kept the favorites info etc. (and I think maybe even the path although I don't believe I ever tried that because my account path has never changed until now).
One side note: I can't find where the iTunes Windows SDK is. I was hoping to try to use that to access the .itl "database" and write a utility to fix this situation. Seems like this has moved from its original location... -

My other podcast downloads fine.
The same problem is experience in iTunes on both my Mac and PC so it appears to be aniTunes issue, particularly since Juice has no problem updating using the same rss feed.
It would be great if the iTunes team would comment.

I've been having the same problem for a long time ever since I changed to a new phone provider with a new sim which works with other phone except my iPhone 4. I just wouldn't make call but can send SMS and receive calls. Now, when I turned off 'call waiting' I could make phone calls. Thanks a million again!
P.S. When I turn on 'call waiting' again I could make call without problem any more. What a heck! -
spill water on my Iphone and I want to recover photos on my Ipad The pictures on the Iphone were not shared with other apple devices is it possible get my photos from the iCloud ?
Had you set your iPhone up to use Photo Stream?
Had your performed an iCloud backup of your iPhone before it was damaged?
If you did neither of the above, then your photos are not in the cloud, and they are gone.
If you performed an iCloud backup, then it would contain the photos in the iPhone's Camera Roll (taken on the iPhone) at the time of your last backup. You could restore this iCloud backup to a device.
If your iPhone used Photo Stream, those photos are immediately accessible to your iPad if you set it up to use the same Photo Stream. -
iMovie seems to have developed a glitch. When i try to import photos they show in the timeline but not in the movie.
Any ideas?You are probably looking in the wrong place - all photos in Photo view and in event too unless you have a corrupted library
most common cause of your not finding them is bad sort - view menu ==> sort events
Nest most common cause is a bad data/time on the camera - this can be corrected using a smart album to find the photos from that camera and then using using the adjust time/date command to fix the bad ones
YOu can alwasy find the event a Photo is in by selecting it and selecting show event

iPhoto, prompt kept coming up asking if I was sure I wanted to delete photos. I unchecked the prompt and I want it back. How do I get it back?
Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7or later : Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101. -

I'm sorry. I got a little off-the-wall there.
I want to have the same iPhoto files on both machines. A few days ago I spent several hours swapping photos back and forth until I had one event with identical picture files on both. Yesterday I scanned some old photos into the Macbook. Today I wanted to copy them to the iMac. I could not remember what I had done a few days ago, so I spent a couple of frustrating hours trying to either remember or find another way, to no avail. I have no idea what I did right before; I only recall that it was pretty easy.
I didn't write anything down. I used to do that, but what I do is so intermittent that by the time I want to copy pictures again either (a) the app has been updated and the old way doesn't work (b) I've lost the paper with the notes on it or (everything seems fine but it just doesn't work. So I gave that up.
Yes, I do want both iPhoto libraries to be the same. The Macbook is the one with the scanner and I download from my camera on the iMac, so I need to be able to move photos from one to the other, I think. -
Icloud events won't show on outlook main page
I have done the sync process,with Outlook (first)..then added iCloud panel, signed in, it merged my Contacts and Calendars...and now they calendar won'tshow on the main page of my Outlook 2007.
Tried on phone with APPLE nobody seems to know why, is there a glitch?

see photo, normally on this main PST page you'd see the list of up to 7 days of events/appointments listed on left - but nothing appears.

Click the lock and enter your password.
Select Login Options (just above the lock)
Change the selection near the top from 'list of users' to 'name and password'
That will give you two blank fields on the login window instead of showing your name.
