I want only 1 Apple ID
I have an apple ID with a @gmail.com account for iTunes purchases, an @me.com for email and recently an @icloud.com account for nothing. Would it be simplier if I can recieve my mail at @icloud.com buy songs and apps with @icloud.com and login into any Apple service
A matter of personal choice. Nevertheless, you cannot remove an Apple ID, you can just stop using it.
Note that anything connected to one Apple ID will not be transferrable to another Apple ID.

I have created an Apple ID for my daughter with her own gmail address as the primary email address, but I want her Apple ID and primary email address to be an iCloud email address. How can I do this? I can't set up an icould email address for her without first creating an Apple ID right?
I'm not good with computers so please explain in simple way...:)
I also wonder what the best way is to set up accounts for children in a family. I dont want them to be able to purchase apps etc through the parents accounts, also some things we like to share as a family and others we don't want to share. Is there any good. clear, simple explanation from Apple Support about these issues? Or best to go to Apple store and go to genius bar or one to one advise?

though I have to say I think it's more sensible if the ID is another address, both for security reasons (so people don't know what the login is) and as a contact address from Apple if the account were to stop working and they needed to contact you. So personally I would to to System Preferences, enter the GMail address which is an ID, and then choose a nerw @icloud.com address.
If she has her own iCloud account she will need either her own computer or her own user account on your Mac to be able to make use of it. You should note that under Apple's terms of use Apple IDs are only available to children of 13 and over.
As to purchasing apps, this is nothing to do with iCloud: it's iTunes, and the login can be different. So you can all sign into the same iTunes account but have different iCloud accounts. Or she can have her own iTunes account if she is of suitable age (credit card needed for purchasing apps).
If you have other children you should be aware that any one Mac or device can create only three iCloud accounts - this is tied to the serial number, not the user account, and once reached cannot be bypassed. You can of course sign into an iCloud account created on another device. -
All iPhones/iPods are signed to the same appleID. I have tried to log my iPods game centre account in but only wants the apple ID, yet when I sign the apple ID in it signs my iPod into my iPhones game centre account which is the problem!!!! My iPhones game centre is different to my iPods but I don't want that account on my iPod as already have one on my iPod, but it won't log me in. I know the username and password for them both but every time I want to sign in it asks me for my apple ID and signs me in to my iPhones account.

My apps are not updating as I have no longer access to my eariler apple Id and now I am using a new apple Id which is allowing to download apps but while updating those apps my iPod wants eariler apple Id password to update what should I do ?

Those apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were purchased under. You can either delete them and re-purchase them, or you can go to Manage your Apple ID and reset the password on the old Apple ID so you can use it to update your apps: Apple - My Apple ID
If you decide to continue to use them under the old ID password, I would suggest that when you reset that password, you change it to be the same password as the one you are currently using. That way when apps need to be updated you will only need to know one password and you won't have to be concerned with which Apple ID is displaying.

Help: do i really want an Apple TV or a Mac Mini?

I have an iMac and Airport Extreme base station upstairs in the den. Downstairs in the rec room I have a 46" LCD HDTV.
I'd like three things.
1. I'd like to rent movies from iTMS (can't in Canada); and buy/rent American TV shows from iTMS (can't in Canada)
2. I'd like to be able to watch video files in the rec room that are on my iMac. (Currently I burn them to a DVD and watch them on my DIVX-capable DVD player, but the image quality ain't great.)
3. I'd like to be able to browse the web from my rec room
Trying to decide if I want an Apple TV or something else (like a Mac Mini). Here's my thinking:
Apple TV, PROs: awesome interface, HDMI out, can stream video files from my iMac or a hard drive on my Airport Extreme base station.
Apple TV, CONs: no movie rentals in Canada yet, no American TV shows in iTunes store in Canada yet, have to convert DIVX files to Apple TV compatible format, cannot browse the web with it
Mac Mini, PROs: can use Front Row to watch video files, can use Safari to browse the web in my rec room
Mac Mini, CONs: more expensive, no HDTV and 5.1 audio out
So my questions are:
Q1. is there any chance that Apple TV will provide me with access to the Safari web browser any time soon?
Q2. is the video output on a Mac Mini to my 46" LCD good enough; or is it crap compared to the HDMI out on Apple TV?
Q3. will iTunes store sell America TV shows in Canada soon?
Q4. will iTunes store rent movies in Canada soon?
Q5. will Apple TV support DIVX files soon?
Q6. if I buy an Apple TV will I regret getting the 40Gig version?
Q7. if I buy an Apple TV will I regret it because there's going to be a new PVR version of Apple TV next year?

1) Probably not. This can be done but you'd have to hack it which isn't suggested.
2) It's the same output. The only difference between HDMI and DVI is that HDMI carries audio as well. A mini outputting at 1920*1080 will look as good as an ATV outputting over HDMI.
3 + 4) Who knows. My guess - unlikely.
5) Not likely. You'll need to pick up something such as Visual Hub to convert files to ATV format. On the other hand, a mini can play these files already.
6) That depends on how often your computer is on. In my case I own the 40 and don't mind it a bit - my mac mini is always on so it can stream anything from my mini to my Apple TV over my network. Streaming movies takes about five seconds to get started but after that I've had no trouble.
7) That's a possibility given that they've submitted patents for an idea such as that - but remember many patents never turn into anything.
Basically I think the mini vs. Apple TV comes down to $$$ and how badly you want to rent HD movies. A mini (via Front Row) can do anything an Apple TV can do plus a whole lot more (play many more formats, higher resolutions, etc.). The only thing it can't do is rent HD movies. I would have sprung for another mini if I could have afforded it. -
I have an iphone 4s unlocked with att prepaid plan (non-contract), everything was working perfect BUT since i update to IOS6 i can not send MMS to anybody has Android, i went to att technical center they said only apple store can fix the problem, i went to Apple store MANY times they could not fix it, so they gave me a new iphone 4s and they said they fixed it but they did not,iam so mad that's not fair, can somebody help me please.
The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it. So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair. I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got. I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully. What do I get in return? Nothing. Not a damned thing!! You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!! Not only will I be replacing this phone with a competitive product but I won't be buying anymore Apple crap. I guess when you con 27 million people into believing your rhetoric and sales lies, you don't have to care whether some customers get screwed or not. I'll be going back to Verizon and threatening legal action if they don't take this electronic dung heap back but I'm sure the teams of lawyers Apple and Verizon have on staff have insured that I have no rights in this matter and you're free to screw me anytime you please. Sad. I used to love Apple as a company and your products. Now you're just another Microsoft with more trendy looking junk. I've had it with you. No, the MAC address, the unique set of letters and numbers that identify the network interface in the device, will not help you, or anyone else, locate a stolen iPad. If you didn't set up Find My iPad on the device before it was stolen, then there will be no way to track it. The police typically will only want the serial number of the stolen items so they can identify them should they manage to find the thief.
If none of the methods suggested by the others - receipts, iTunes, registration with Apple, packaging - can provide you the serial number, then there's no way you can obtain that information

I used my only Apple ID to purchase my iMac (Intel-based one). I've never been able to update core apps that came with it. I can update third party apps I've bought (like Coda), but when I try to update Garage Band, iPhoto, iMovie and so on, a popup message appears saying "You have updates available for other accounts" and "Log in with the account you used to purchase this app in order to update it", or similar (see screenshot above).
The OS seems to get its updates fine - it's just the core apps from the App Store.
I've only ever had one Apple ID, so I have no idea what to do. I went to ask the Genius bar at my local Apple store, and they couldn't help, and insisted that I must have purchased the iMac using a different account, but I definitely didn't. There are a few posts on non-Apple forums of this happening to other people, so it must be a rare bug.
I'm a little concerned it may affect my ability to update from Lion to Mountian Lion. Can anyone help?

If that doesn't resolve the problem I would suggest calling customer support about this issue as it is most likely on their (Apple's) end that the problem exists. -
Whenever I update my iPhone software, it asks me to sign in to iCloud with an old email address. My other devices all have the correct address. How can I get the correct address for my iPhone? The only Apple ID that works for logging in is my new one.
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Someone used my email address to create an Apple ID. I logged in to appleid.apple.com and I changed the password because it is freaking me out. I want to report it to Apple but dont know how to go about it. I want the Apple ID deleted. How do I go about that? Is there also a way to ensure that the email address wont be used again by this person to create another Apple ID?
This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. I have set up iTunes Match on only 3 devices (my Windows 7 desktop and 2 iPhones) and am now trying to authorise my new Windows 8 (Toshiba) laptop but I keep failing to authorise the laptop using my one-and-only Apple ID. Does anyone have advice to solve this problem?!
Hi all. I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues. Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 7 PC” problem. …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive. Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab. Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
Open the Users folder.
Open your user folder
Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco. The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”. Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear. Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?

In Logistics u2013 General-> Material Master-> Field Selection-> Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens, for Field sel. group 90, we selected the Reqd Entry Option Button to make Division field in Basic Data 1 as mandatory.
Due to this fields like Sales unit, Unit of Measure Grp, DChain-spec. status etc. became Mandatory for T Code MM01
We want only Division field Mandatory.
Is there any way to create our own Field sel. Group where in we could assign the Fields we want to make mandatory?

Goto the Traansction code OMS9 and enter the FIELD SELECTION GROUP as 20 which is the field group for Division
now goto the details and in change mode you can find the FIELD like HIDE, OPTIONAL, DISPLAY , REQUIRED ENTRY
Chcek the radio button of Required field entry and save it
Now once you enter the MM01 , there you will find Division as Mandatory field
