I want the previous version of NUMBERS

I'm really disappointed by iWork 3 and I want to re-install the previous version with "versions".
Somebody can help me?

The basic answer is that Numbers 2.3 is still on your Mac, unless you intentionally deleted it, in an iWork '09 subfolder within the Documents folder. Just use Numbers 2.3 if you like. Both versions can run at the same time.

You need a Time Machine backup to restore an old version. If you don't have one, you'll lose your library because it can only be used with iTunes 11

  • I don't like the new firefox version it disabled all of my add ons and downloads I want the previous version back...I truly REGRET allowing the update because it dismantled eeverything I searched hard for

I want the previous version of firefox b4 the latest download, the new ff..disabled everything I need to have my computer function as an as needed basis...

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

  • I want the previous version of FF. FF 4.0 is too damn unstable!!

I can't find anywhere to download the previous version of FF.
I absolutely do not want to use FF 4.0.
It crashes too much. And the supposedly new features pretty much all suck.

  • How do I uninstall Firefox 4? I want the previous version of Firefox. I hate Firefox 4 and regret having updated because it is not working correctly on my Mac OS X 10.5.8.

    I can't view fullscreen videos.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

  • Numbers 3.2 has changed too much, it doesn't work with my project anymore. How do I revert back to the previous version I was using?

Numbers 3.2 has changed too much, it doesn't work with my project anymore. 1) The sheet panels used to be on the left hand side and easily reviewable and searchable, but now they are on the top and it's harder to find a specific folder without scrolling (too time consuming), 2) I used to be able to duplicate a folder within my sheet panel window by simply clicking on a folder and hitting Command D, but that doesn't work now so it looks like I'll have to spend even more time to recreate the same tables that used to be easily duplicated, and 3) I can't choose fill colors that matched my project anymore because there are only limited choices available now. And these are only the changes that I'm aware of. I am very disappointed and frustrated. Whatever the motivation was to limit Numbers 3.2, I want the previous version back. How do I revert back to the previous version I was using?

The sheet panels used to be on the left hand side and easily reviewable and searchable, but now they are on the top and it's harder to find a specific folder without scrolling (too time consuming),
You can scroll more quickly between sheets if you don't use the left-right triangles, but instead move the cursor up into the bands with the "tabs" and drag right or left.
Also, if you have a lot if sheets for which you want a quick vertical list, then you can try the following have something like this pop up (showing your sheet names automatically) whenever you hit a keyboard shortcut (in my case shift-command-j):
This is done via a Jump to Sheet Automator Service (Dropbox download).  To install just doubleclick the .workflow package and (if needed) click 'Download Anyway' in System Preferences > Privacy & Security.
This will cause a new item to appear in your Numbers > Services menu.  Then, if you want a keyboard shortcut, go here in System Preferences and add one:
You can rename or remove the service by holding down the option key in Finder and choosing Go > Library > Services. You can also view the AppleScript contaned within the service by opening the .workflow package in Automator.
This particular service jumps to the first cell of the first table of the sheet you choose from an automatically generated list of all sheets in the current document.

  • I want the old version of Firefox!

I can't figure how to copy part of an e-mail without that menu you had.
I want the previous version of Firefox!

    select then use Ctrl+C
Anyway the changes to toolbars are cosmetic, you can customize firefox and fix it for yourself.
You can make Firefox 4.0.1 and '''Firefox 5.0''' look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)]

    - it's all said in the title. I can't understand why the developers turn things bad ... risking loosing Apples valuable customers.
More examples needed? (check out the communities and the reviews)
    - OSX: Maverick to Yosemite = not recommended (check it out > http://roaringapps.com/apps)
    - iPad: older versions as iPad2 should not upgrade to iOS7/8 (it's not supporting its hardware accordingly, it's designed for the latest hardware)
    - iTunes (it's possible to rollback to 10.7 - 11.4, but you need to breech OSX system security framework)
    - Pages (was a real alternative for many of us, each update reduced features and created incompatibility to older work files)
The list could easily extend to ...

  • How can I return to a previous version of Numbers? Or how can I have all my sheets show on a column on the left hand side, as in the previous version?

I updated my Numbers for Mac only to find out that there are several changes that make it less appealing for me so far (and I don't think it's only the learning curve). Questions: a) can I somehow edit the location of where I can find all the sheets (right now they are on top of the page, and you can't see all of them listed at quick glance but must scroll/arrow through them) I have in that spreadsheet? In the previous version they were all easy access on the left hand side.
Or b) can one go back to a previous version of a program somehow?
    Thank you for any leads/answers!

can I somehow edit the location of where I can find all the sheets (right now they are on top of the page, and you can't see all of them listed at quick glance but must scroll/arrow through them)
On my machine I just hit shift-command-j (the keyboard shortcut I assigned in System Preferences) and a list of the sheets in the current document pops up:
I type a number from the list and jump immediately to that sheet. The hands never have to leave the keyboard.
(This particular document had a sheet named for each month.  But the sheets in your document automatically will be listed instead.)
This is done via a Jump to Sheet Automator Service (Dropbox download).  To install just doubleclick the .workflow package and (if needed) click 'Download Anyway' in System Preferences > Privacy & Security.
Installation will cause a new item to appear in your Numbers > Services menu.  Then, if you want a keyboard shortcut, go here in System Preferences and add one:

Note, also, that in Numbers 3 you don't have to use those left-right arrows upper right to slowly scroll left-right to the sheets that are out of view.  Just move your cursor up to the "band" with the "tabs" and drag left or right.  That's much faster than using the arrows.

  • Tonight opening Numbers caused a free update available box advising me to install the latest version of OS X and then download the latest version of numbers. 'OK' is the only choice. Can't even shutdown. Don't want to lose task or upgrade to Yosemite

Tonight opening Numbers caused a 'free update available box' advising me to install the latest version of OS X and then download the latest version of numbers. 'OK' is the only choice.
I can't force quit Numbers or even shutdown the iMac.
I don't want to lose the spreadsheet (90% completed so far) or upgrade to Yosemite.
    I have OS X 10.9.5 running on a 2014 iMac.
    What to do?
    Thanks.

NOTE: Just discovered that Adobe is making a bigger mess than any previously.
They now have a 32-bit uninstaller for Flash '''''AND''''' a separate 64-bit uninstaller for Flash. You will need the 64-bit uninstaller for what you had installed above.
    *32-bit uninstaller: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player_32bit.exe

  • Hod do I uninstall Numbers 3.0 and install the previous version?

I am on OS X Mavericks.
    Thanks,
    Alex Neuman

    Hi Alex,
If you had the previous version, it is still on your Mac, in a subfolder within your Applications folder called iWork '09 or similar.  You can run both versions if you want. If you edit a document on Numbers 3.0 you can export it back to the previous version via the menu File > Export to... Numbers '09.
If you have never had the previous version, you can buy it on the major onlne retailers as a boxed set. Look for iWork '09.

  • I have installed 5.01 and want to revert to the previous version so I can get Google Toolbar back. How do I do this?

Google Toolbar isn't compatible ith Firefox 5.01. I didn't realise how much I like Google so I don't want a browser which excludes Google Toolbar.

the question hasn't been answered. How do you revert back to the previous version of firefox?

  • Firefox 4.0 is clunky with big ugly buttons. It looks bulky and busy. How do I keep 4.0 but with the look of the previous version? I have the default look and I don't want to add any backgrounds or any themes.

How do I streamline all the 4.0 features, but without adding any skins, themes or backgrounds? Basically I want to keep the default of the previous Firefox version as this new 4.0 is ugly and bulky and it does not make for smooth navigation. I don't want to add any customizations that will slow down my computer so I want it like the previous version. I would rather try to correct this than go back to a previous version. Thanks.

Thanks for the article. I've done some of the suggestions but it is still not the same....Does anyone else miss the status bar? Even with installing the add on for it, it did not work for me. Overall, the article suggestions made a definite improvement. What was Mozilla thinking with this version? But thanks for pointing me to that article!

  • Numbers: how do I turn on the feature that fills the cell with typing that was previously used? The previous version had this feature. I could type the first letters of a name in a cell and the entire name would automatically appear.

Numbers: how do I turn on the feature that fills the cell with typing. In the previous versions, I could type a name or word and then a list of names/words with the same letters would appear. I could choose the name/word to enter into the cell. This saved many strokes. If I was typing a word with only one like it previously entered, that word would appear, grayed, and I could simply tab to the next cell, automatically entering that word in that cell. Is this feature in this version of Numbers? The autofill tab 1)I can't turn it on and 2) it doesn't seem to do the same thing.
    Thanks.

The developers failed to propagate that feature from version 2 to version 3. I believe it is on the short list of things to be restored in May 2014 or so.
Here's the full list as published by Apple:
    Numbers
    Customize toolbar
Improvements to zoom and window placement
    Multi-column and range sort
    Auto-complete text in cells
    Page headers and footers
    Improvements to AppleScript support
