I want to abort Mavericks and go back to Lion...How?

I recently installed Mavericks because it was free and I thought it would correct some minor problems I was having...well now I have major, major problems.  After attempting to solve them for some days and driving myself to near madness, I have decided to abort Mavericks and reinstall a fresh copy of OSX Lion.  How do I do this?  I have a Mac Mini from 2011 and it did not come with any boot discs.  I know you can purchase Lion for $20 on the Apple store but I'm not sure this will even work because it says you need to be running 10.6 or whatever.  Would I need to buy the 10.6 disc, then the upgrade?  $40 bucks and a few days wait...just to get back to an OS that works?  Yes I have read about time machine, but hindsight is 20/20.  This is pretty painful.  Thanks for the help!

Typically minor problems become major ones with any
OS upgrade from my personal experience.  Always a good
idea to make sure a system is trouble free before any upgrade.
If you could tell us what your issues are, perhaps we can help
you fix them and get you going.
Personally, I have Mavericks running very well on a 2011 Mini Server.
So, you may have some driver(s) or app(s) that may be conflicting
with Mavericks.  Tell us the problems and perhaps we can help.

  • Will uninstalling Mavericks and reverting back to Lion restore iMovie to 9.0.0?

I’m someone who regularly uses iMovie to edit videos for YouTube, and given that my iMovie 9.0.4 recently decided to go bonkers beyond repair, I can no longer use it, for it’s no longer on my Mac.
In short, iMovie 10 is an utter disgrace, and I want iMovie 9 back. Now, in order for me to get iMovie 9 back, will uninstalling Mavericks and reverting back to Lion (a better OS in my opinion anyway) return iMovie to its former glory? My Mac didn’t come with a disc, so how would this work?
Thanks for any help can may be provided!

You should still have iMovie9 in a folder after Mavericks upgrade.  It did not delete it.  Check your applications.

  • How to get rid of maverick and go back to lion

I installed maverick on a macbook pro that had lion. How I want to go back to lion. Any help would be appreciated.

Or.... if your Mac has the Internet Recovery feature, restart using the Command+Option+R keys until you see a spinning globe. This will boot to Apple's server and their Recovery HD. At the OS X Utilities menu check which OS you have available to reinstall. Assuming your Mac came pre-installed with Lion, you should see the ability to reinstall it.
    Make a back up first.

  • How do I uninstall mountain lion and go back to lion, how do I uninstall mountain lion and go back to lion

Please help!!! I dont like it!

The installer may do squirrelly things in an upgrade like nip and tuck the code, turning Lion into Mountain Lion.  The best option is to do a fresh install.  Do a Time Machine backup of your files (you can probably exclude the system folder and apps - just download them again from the App Store).  Concentrate on your home folder - iTunes files, your library folder, iPhoto library, etc.  Re-download Mountain Lion from the App Store.  If the installer starts, quit the app.  Now go to your Application folder and find the Mountain Lion installer.  View the contents of the package and go to Contents:SharedSupport:InstallESD.dmg.  Drag the .dmg file to your desktop or someplace else convenient.  Next, open Disk Utility and burn the disk image to an 8 GB DVD or flash drive.  If you burn it to a flash drive, you may get an error saying the burn failed.  If it burned for a while, long enough for the image to actually copy over, ignore it.  Reboot your Mac whole holding down the Option key with the flash drive in a USB port or DVD in the drive.  You should get the option to boot from that drive.  Select the Mountain Lion DVD/USB option to test the boot.  You can then either continue the installation or quit the installer until you're ready.
If you purchased Lion from the App Store previously, there doesn't seem to be a way to download Lion within Mountain Lion. You may have a friend with either Lion or a newer Mac with Snow Leopard installed, if so, you may want to login to their App Store, download it, and try to install Lion that way.  If you bought your Mac with Lion preinstalled, you won't be able to download Lion at all.

  • I want to delete a few contacts, apps, pics etc from my iphone, but when I delete and connect to my laptop they sync and come back again. How can I delete those items and not get them back when I connect my iphone to my laptop?

Also where exactly on the laptop is teh data stored.
    Thank you!!

go to 'Edit' in the menu bar. Then choose 'Preferences'.
you'll see a pop-up and there's a tab called 'Devices' there. If you click that, you will be able to check a box that says 'prevent automatic syncing for iPods, iPads and iPhones' or something like that.
    Hope this helps
NB: if you don't even see the menu bar that has options like 'File, Edit, View, etc', first click the black/white square button on the top left of your screen, and then click 'show menu bar'. It should pop right up.
    Good luck

how do I uninstall OS X Mavericks and revert back to OS mountain lion?

You can't uninstall an OS X version. You would have to erase the drive and reinstall a prior OS version. That's why you should never upgrade without having a backup.
However, just about any router in the world should work with Mavericks, without the need of any DVD supplied software.

If you tap and hold down the icon - and the X does not appear on the icon - you will not be able to delete it without totally downloading it. Finish the download and then delete it.

I need a step by step instructions since I have never done this before, willing to set up partition if needed.

If you installed Lion from the Mac App Store or got it with the computer, restart with the Option key held down and see if its recovery partition still exists; if it does, tab to it, use the Disk Utility on it to erase the Mountain Lion partition or repartition the drive, and install Lion onto the blank partition. If you installed Lion from the USB thumb drive, use that.

I am wanting to add picture and designs to my form how do I place it in a specific place on my form?

Currently we only support one field/item on a line. We are working on adding a feature that allows you to put multiple fields/items on a single line. We hope to have that out in a few months.

Yes, you can download it using your Adobe ID.
Just a word of caution here:  DO NOT just "delete" the other version.  Use the correct Adobe Uninstaller to UNISTALL it.  Otherwise you'll leave all kinds of leftovers and debris that can interfere with any new install.
