I want to add lion to a second computer in my home.

I went to Apple's site to do this, logged in using the same login I used to purchase and download Lion for my laptop and the site went to a payment page with my credit card info which indicated to me that I was about to be charged. How do I add Lion to a second computer without being charged?
Thanks

I'm having the same problem and I've tried installing it on the second computer about ten times.  Keeps going to the credit card page.  I'm definitely logged into the MAS using the same AppidID I used to originally purchase Lion, and when I go to "Purchased" Lion is there with all my other purchcased apps, but when I click on "Install" it goes to my credit card page with the info pre-filled except for the CVC code and the button at the bottom right says "Billing Info".  Not sure if clicking on that will charge me again or not?

  • Install Mountain Lion on a second computer

I purchased mountain lion a few months ago and now want to install it on a second computer.  The app store will not let me install it however, saying that it is not available in the US store.  Aren't I supposed to be able to download and install software that I've already paid for?  I don't want to buy it again.  What are my options?  Thanks!

    Try contacting App Store support.

  • Reinstall OS X Lion on my second computer without re-downloading the image from MacAppStore

    Hi everybody.
I would like to know if it is lecit (legal): 1. to redownload the image I bought from MacAppStore (with option click on MacAppStore buy-button); 2. to make a copy of it on an external HD or a bootable DVD (with CarbonCopyCloner or Disk Utility) 3. to use this newly burned image to install Lion on my second computer?
At this point, how should I (if I really need to) make Apple know that the copy I'm trying to install on the second computer is really the one I bought? Will I be prompted to sign in with my Apple ID at the installation, right? Once I log in, am I alright?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks for helping

Yes... of course: I just forgot a key problem... I have a slow DSL connection and I have to share it with 2 more computers: so either do I use it all for many hours and then the others won't be able even to check their e-mail (unless I try to set for this time only the QoS of my router), or I won't be able to download it and install it in less than 1 week! That's why I wanted to burn the image or at least save it somewhere.
But by doing that I don't know if I'm also deleting some information I am supposed to give Apple during the registration (a specific "personal" code embedded in the download?).
    That's it..

Apple specifically did not enable ipod to computer transfer so as to prevent people from getting music from friends (which in the majority of cases is illegal).

  • Can I load Mountain Lion to a second computer [for free] if the original came on a new MacBook?

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro which came preloaded with OS X Mountain Lion.  Can I download Mountain Lion to a second computer?

For a Pre-Installed version, there is no feasible way to do it, even if the license allowed. You can't download the installer. You can only reinstall via Recovery HD or Internet Recovery.
If you got a copy of Mountain Lion via the Up-to-date program, you can use that as it comes with a Mac App Store license.

How to define non-commercial use? If I'm a writer and I write articles on my mac, is this commercial use?
Talk to your and/or Apples lawyers, I can't answer that.
One of my computer is 10.5, how can I install Lion on this machine?  Thanks!
If you're going to download from the App Store it needs to be running 10.6.8. Apple also now has  Lion on a flashdrive that I believe can be installed on non Snow Leopard machines. Finally if you have Lion on one of your machines already you can make your own flashdrive installer which again I believe will work on non Snow Leopard machines.
Search here or on the web or Apples site for more detailed info.

  • Add iTunes Library to Second Computer

I'm sure this is a very simple thing to do, but have heard horror stories about people losing their entire library, so want to be safe. I have iTunes loaded on my PC and the library is also on my iPod. My wife just got a new PC. I want to add iTunes to her PC, and be able to import all of the content into her iTunes library too. I would think this is as simple as downloading iTunes then connecting the iPod, but I worry something will get messed up and I'll lose all the content I have. Any advice for a novice?

    Hi,
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329 will walk you through moving your iTunes Library to a new computer.

I have had Acrobat Standard on my computer for quite some time now, but I just got a second computer and would like to install it on the second computer as well.  How do I do that?  I don't know where to begin even

Do you have your installation media?  You would want to begin by running the installer from your installation media.   If you purchased the download option then please see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1006208?tstart=0.

  • How can I add AppleTV to a second computer?

Our AppleTV has been used with a PC laptop and shows up in the Preferences and in the iTunes on that PC.  I just recently bought a MAC Book Pro and wanted to be able to add QuickTime movies and iPhoto pictures to our AppleTV wirelessesly.  I can't figure out how to get our AppleTV to show up on my MAC Book though.  I want my PC to be the primary spot for the iTunes so moving it from the original PC to my new one is not an option.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
From the Apple TV select settings > computers > connect to shared library. Take the passcode you are given, click on the Apple TV in the device list in iTunes on the MacBook and enter the passcode.

  • Bought new iMac, how do I get Lion on a second computer

So a week ago I bought a new iMac which came installed with Lion. Now I'd like to put it on my aluminum MacBook. Can I do that without buying Lion? When I sign into my account at the App store on the iMac, Lion is noted to be Installed, but if I sign in on the MacBook $29.99 shows up.

The Lion installation that came preinstalled with your new computer is tied to your new computer. You do not get to download the Lion installer and install it free on other computers with that license. You'll need to pay the thirty bucks.
