Unless you have reached the 5 computer limit there is no reason to deauthorize the old computer, simply authorize the new one.

How do I stop my computer from asking me if I want to authorize my computer?

Every time I hook up my iphone to my macbook pro, it says the computer is not authorized to save certain apps from my phone. Then it asks me if I'd like to authoirize the computer, so I hit "authorize" (yes). I type in my apple ID and password and hit enter. Then a box pops up that says this computer is already authorized. My cousin is studying abroad for a few months in Europe, and I wanted to authorize her computer to play a TV series I recently bought on iTunes. Am I able to do that, or will there be problems because she is in a different country than I am (I am in America)? No, you cannot do that. Your US iTunes account will not work in Europe. She must have a separate account in the country in which she currently resides with a local bank-issued credit card and a local billing address and a separate Apple ID for that country.

This is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. What version of iTunes are you using? The error you references seems to be connected with iTunes 9.0.4. That version of iTunes is not compatible with iOS 6. You need to update to the current version of iTunes.
