    Dear all,
I have, just an hour back, installed Nokia Suite 3.4.49. which installed fortunately successfully.
And i have connected my phone (NOKIA E90) and it got connected successfully and synced all data.
The PROBLEM now is the Nokia Suite's Gallery tab is showing all the pictures of my "pictures" library!! Though i havent added any such folders into "Gallery Options".
I dont want Nokia Suite showing my pictures into Nokia Suite Gallery! Its so  stupid that it doesnt have any option to disable like picasa!
If anybody can please help me to block or disallow nokia suite peeping into my pictures, i would be so grateful! Thank you!
    OS: Win 7 x64
    Nokia Suite 3.4.49
    Nokia E90 OS version 400.34.93

    Thanks for your help friends!
    Grrrr....

So i added a folder where i save and sync my nokia pic & vids, which is NOT EVEN ON DEFAULT C DRIVE!!!
Now i dont understand how shld i make this app remove my folders?!
Shld i just uninstall this suite, delete all appdata and then reinstall or anything else?!

  • Migrate Nokia Suite between windows accounts

I have recently changed my home pc so that each user has their own account, I now want to move my Nokia Suite settings to my personal windows account rather than the shared windows account.
My issue is that I have a lot of photographs stored on my N8, these have already been uploaded to windows (shared account) - but if I connect the N8 while logged in with my new windows account Nokia Suite tries to upload all the photos again, this would turn into a massive problem for me to sort out manually.
What can I do to migrate my Nokia Suite data from one account to another - I see there are hidden "Nokia" and "Nokia Account" folders in AppData/Local... would it be sufficient to copy these or is there other stuff that I would be missing?

    Hi dylanf,
You can see the help of Nokia Suite "Moving the contents of Nokia Suite to a new computer", the same applies to creating a new account or profile on your same computer.
If you had your Photos and Videos from your phone stored on your shared account on PC in the standard Windows Pictures and Videos folders. You just need to copy them those to your new account's Pictures and Videos. This way you will not need to copy those photos again from your phone to your new account.
I copied here the instructions from the Nokia Suite help. Nokia Suite -> Help -> Moving the contents of Nokia Suite to a new computer.
When you are switching to a new computer, it's easy to move your contacts, messages, media files, calendar information, bookmarks, and web feeds from Nokia Suite on your old computer to Nokia Suite on the new computer. All your files stay safe and you can continue using Nokia Suite just like before. See below for detailed instructions on how to move different content types to your new computer.
    Music, photos, and videos
The music, photos, and videos you see in Nokia Suite are stored on your computer just like any files and you can move them to the new computer with the help of Windows Explorer and an external hard drive, such as a USB memory stick. In the options of Nokia Suite, check if the program saves your media files to the standard Windows folders for music, photos, and videos (such as Music, Pictures, and Videos on Windows Vista and Windows 7 or My Music, My Pictures, and My Videos on Windows XP), or if you have chosen to save them in some other folders. To check your options, open the Tools menu, click Options, and then go to the Music and Gallery tabs.
Note that if you have created music playlists or photo albums in Nokia Suite on your old computer, you need to create them again when you start using Nokia Suite on your new computer.

  • How to install Nokia suite on android tablett?

I want to install the Nokia suite or something similar to my new android tablett PC so that I can use the Nokia E90 mobile phone as modem to go into the internet. I copied the .exe file onto the tablett but the tablett PC does not start the nokia exe file. So what can I do?

Unfortunately there is no compatible Nokia Suite for Android operating systems. However there is a solution to your problem.
You can use Wireless tethering using the application "JOIKUSPOT LIGHT WiFi HotSpot" which can be downloaded free from the Nokia Ovi Store. There is also a premium version for £8 which enables you to set a password to the WiFi hotspot and improves battery usage.

    Hello, Nokia.
The program "Nokia Suite" is in all languages, except the Azerbaijan.
We, as Azerbaijanians, want that the program "Nokia Suite" will be in Azerbaijan language too.
Whether probably to add to "Nokia Suite" Azerbaijan language?
Whether the Azerbaijan language in the program "Nokia Suite" will be sometime added?
For us, the Azerbaijan fans Nokia, it is very important.
I hope, considering the Azerbaijan fans Nokia, you will add in »Nokia Suite" the Azerbaijan language...

Thanks VasiFQuluzade, great to hear about the interest in Azerbaijan, this is new to us. At the moment, we don't plan for new Nokia Suite languages, but never say never.
I'm really happy and excited to get this kind of feedback from you.
    Cheers, Samuli

    Hi
I recently downloaded Nokia Suite to back up my N8. When the contacts were synced only 257 of 360 were transferred. They are all held on the sim card rather than in the phone itself but I guess this shouldn't matter?? Can anyone help? Backup is no use unless it backs up everything!!
    Many thanks

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I think the sim holds 500 total. I usually put the numbers to the sim because I was fed up with losing them all each time the phone got submerged/broken etc. I guess if I back up to nokiasuite now I don't need to worry and can put it all on the phone. I'll try it.....
    cheers
Suggest you to do both .. Back-up (Nokia Suite-->Tools-->Back-up ..) as well as use the SYNC function at the bottom just next to the Phone icon ..

  • SMS - PC Suite back to Nokia

    Hi...
I had to restore my Nokia E72 and I save all my things to Nokia Suite and the phone numbers I got back to my phone, what about SMS ? Can I put it back on my phone? I tried SYNC messages but I think it only works to sync in to the Suite ...
    Thanks

How did you save the messages in Nokia Suite ? Were they synced and currently visible in the Nokia Suite? If yes, after connecting the phone, select them and Drag-and-Drop to the corresponding folder at the bottom next to the phone icon ..

  • Nokia Suite does NOT backup map favorites. Belle u...

I recently updated my E7-00 from Anna to Belle and lost all my map favorites in the process.
Although I did a full backup of my phone before the update I have since found out that Nokia Suite does not backup map favorites.
The Belle update did NOT make a copy of my map favorites, it wiped them out completely.
Nowhere have I seen that information before.  When I updated to Anna I did not lose my map favorites.
There should be a warning about this before starting the Belle update.
The Belle Update FAQ states that after the update one of the things one can do immediately is access map favorites - NOT!
I have since learned, by searching online, that I am expected to sync my map favorites online with a Nokia server.  I do not want to store my confidential information on someone else's server.  Additionally, I don't pay for data service because it is so expensive here in Canada.  So I would have to connect my phone via USB to my PC.
Nokia Suite backs up my contacts, photos, music, documents, etc.  Why not my map favorites?  In fact I store my music, photos, documents, and even contact information separate from my phone so I don't need Nokia Suite for that.  But how do I copy my GPS coordinates off my phone for backup?
2nd level tech support suggested I recreate them all by browsing the maps on my phone and selecting the locations.  That is so inaccurate, time consuming, and wrong.  Supposedly they have passed my problem onto 3rd level tech support.
Does anyone know if one can import map coordinates into a symbian phone?  I have many of the locations stored in another GPS application on a laptop.  I can export them from there.  That would be a partial solution.
    Thanks.
Note: cross posted under Discussions Main Page > Software > Nokia Suite

I might suggest a Wi-Fi connection for access to the 'net, but let me assume that storing anything on a different server is not an option.  So, what remains...
The least expensive, and simplest, method would be for you to buy any second Nokia phone that runs Nokia Maps.  I use Nokia's Phone Switch technology to transfer all my maps data to a second phone.  I'll have to do it again, so I can give you specific instructions on the "how", but the bottom line is it does work.
As to importing and exporting GPS Coordinates, I learned by accident that you can enter favorites by using GPS coordinates - and can also find the coordinates for something you have already entered.
A free program that I think is invaluable for using Maps on a Nokia, especially the N8, is "LeGPSData2".  I used their older version for years, until the certificate expired and I was unable to upload it to my N8, but the new version is considerably better.  You might find a way to do other things you mentioned with that program - and if not, you might suggest them (import/export) to the program author.
If you are as careful as you suggest you are, don't you have backups that you've already done on your PC?  Have you tried to find your GPS data in those backups?
I can't speak for others, but regardless of what Nokia saiys would or woud not happen during the phone update, I don't "trust" any of it.  I did my own backups two ways, as a complete bacakup on the PC, and as a phone backup on the memory card.  I "think" but can't confirm, that the GPS data was backed up by both of them.
You're right - Nokia should fix the Belle installation script to also backup and re-install the maps data, if there is something wrong, but on my phone it did it all correctly following their instructions (in addition to my other backups, which I never needed).
If I get some free time, I'll see if I can get the import/export to work using Maps and LeGPSData2.  It would be nice to do this to one location, multiple locations, or all locations.  It would be nice to send this data to another phone directly, or to save it as a file.

Uhh.. yeah, sorry about that. I didn't have any trimming software. And even if I install one, it would take much time. Please forgive me . You could've atleast click forward to skip the useless parts though.. By the way, thanks for helping me!
And about the ignoring thing, I ignored them because if I abort, the installation will fail and exit and otherwise I click retry, nothing will happen at all except the error will come back again. Just wanted to show you all the errors.

Could you download official Nokia Suite 3.8.30 from www.nokia.com/nokiasuite web page and try with that Does this installation work?
Well, when I did the permission things, It said I will have to reinstall the Nokia Suite installer again. I already had installed Nokia Suite from the official site before. So I had this one installed from another site, and it was in a .rar format. So I deleted the folder and extracted the .rar file again and in this way I didn't have to install another one. Installing another one would take huge time, it's 101 MB! You can tell me if it's confusing you .

  • Nokia Suite and Nokia 701 Cable Driver Problems

Hi, I just bought a Nokia 701, and so far I love it, the only real problem I have is that I can't connect it with Nokia Suite through the provided cable, because the driver never get installed properly, everything OBEX fails to install.
So the only real way I can fully connect my Nokia 701 with Nokia Suite is via Bluetooth, but the speeds are dramatically slower. So I'd like to know if there are others having this problem or if I'm the only one. And in case this problem is already known, will there be a solution for it soon?
I also have a Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic and it has the same problem for ages. And it has never been solved, which I think it's pretty bad in a company the size of Nokia.
Just to clarify I'm using Windows 7 at 64 bits, and the latest version of Nokia Suite (3.3), and I'm trying to connect a Nokia 701 and a Nokia 5800, and both get driver incompatibilities that can't be resolved by the automatic Windows 7 search, and can't be resolved by searching for it manually with Windows Update, Windows Compatibility Site says that Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic should be 100% compatible, but, maybe because of the fact that Nokia 701 is relatively new, there is no information on the Windows Compatibility Site, about the device.
Please help me with this problem, it's very important for me to be able to connect both my cellphones via cable to the Nokia Suite application.
A preemptive thank you for all your help.

Hey Sevennikke7, Welcome to the Nokia Forums.
To fix the problem, try the following solutions:
disconnect the USB cable and connect it again.
If you use a USB hub, try connecting the phone directly to the computer.
If you use a USB hub with an external power source, make sure that it has been switched on.
Check the USB cable for problems and replace if necessary.
If your phone asks you for the connection mode that you want to use, make sure that you select Nokia Suite(or PC Suite) on your phone.
Disconnect the cable, restart the computer, and try again.
Keep in mind that if you remove USB devices without using the Safely Remove Hardware tool in the Windows taskbar, connection problems may appear.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel (called Programs and Features in Microsoft Windows 7).
Select Nokia Suite in the list of applications and click Change/Remove.
In the dialog that appears, choose Repair.Nokia Suite then check that all the needed files are intact and repairs any errors that were found.
Control Panel > Programs > Programs & features > Nokia Connectivity cable driver, right click and Change/Repair
Try go Control Panel > View Devices > Remove your device profiles and reinstall them.
As both devices cannot connect to your computer I believe it is a problem with drivers inside your PC.
I hope this helps and you manage to resolve your issue. Please get back to me if your problem persists.

Browse for the .nbu (Back-up) file that was taken during the Software update ... Then click on 'Contacts' in the Left Hand Side list .. I've spent time deleting many things from my phone such as vids, pics, and importantly, contacts.
After i plugged it to the PC in order to tranfser new things from phone to PC, nokia suite asked me what i wanna do with deleted contacts, and i said 'KEEP", because i believed it asked about "Keeping on the pc'. Alas,  i dont know if this was the reason, or maybe it happened in the general sync opertaion, but many things i've deleted from my phone such as contacts i dont need, all came back!
I wish the softawre was more understandable. What I simple want it to be is as follows:
What phone has is DOMINANT. If i delete things from it, i'd like pc to ask me if to also delete those things from PC. meaning, i'd like the pc to go after the phone and not the other way around like just described above.

  • Asha 210 and Nokia Suite??

    Hello,
I am trying to sync my new asha 210 with Nokia Suite but it tells me its not supported. As that phone is quite new, how is it possible it is not supported?
I want to import all my messages and contacts from my old nokia 2710, but I can't. Should this be a joke?
I was always a big Nokia fan, but this is just a huge disappointment at the moment. If I can't get this running, my asha will be going back, quite useless without sync options...........
    Thanks for any help anyway

Use the phone switch option found
    in settings- sync and backup.
    Hope this helps.

  • Nokia Suite no longer recognises N9 after upgradin...

I have been regularly using Nokia Suite 3.2 with my N9, and so I recently upgraded to Nokia Suite 3.5. After some initial problems getting ownership of the Nokia file in the ProgramData folder, the install worked however now when I connect using 'Sync and Connect', Nokia Suite doesn't recognise my N9 - I can hear the sound notification of the phone connecting with the computer, followed almost immediately by the same sound notification of the phone disconnecting from the PC.
I'm running Windows Vista 32bit and having used system restore to roll back the install to version 3.2, I now cannot connect my N9 via Nokia Suite 3.2 either.
I've tried different cables to no avail. I do not have Bluetooth on my PC to try. I now cannot connect my N9 and my PC.
    How do I fix this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I seem to have had some success. After getting over the usual language and accent barriers with Nokia Customer Care, and after convincing them that Nokia Suite 3.5 was actually compatible with the N9, they suggested I repair both the Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver and also the PC Connectivity Solution file.
After doing this, Nokia Suite 3.5 still wasn't  recognising my N9. Re-installing Nokia Suite wasn't an option as it would mean deleting all the info stored in it (texts, contacts, etc), some of which are not stored in duplicate on the phone.
I decided instead to try repairing Nokia Suite via Windows, and to my thanks, this seems to have worked. At present all is well and Nokia Suite is now talking and recognising my N9 as it did in v3.2.
What is probably the most puzzling thing to come out of this is that in searching the web for a fix, it became very clear that Nokia have a lot of issues across the board in getting their phones to connect and talk to their UI's on computers.
The fact that they have maybe three to four separate UI's (PC Suite, Nokia Link, Nokia Suite, Ovi Suite) which only seem to be suitable for certain phones is archaic in my opinion. Surely it's time for Nokia to pool their resources and R and D into one UI that is functional across the board and across their phone range?
I think that would make the user experience a more friendly and enjoyable one.
