I want to backup my icloud, but i dont know how to?

on my i phone it said to backup my i cloud and it hasnt been backed up for nine months, but i need some help to back it up.

No, your phone hasn't been backed up in 9 months. I think you mean you want to back up TO iCloud. You can not back up iCloud.

No I have checked and it is not in any junk folder. When I joined apple I must have given them another email address which is no longer functional. Now caught in endless loop....I think I need to speak to apple rep to find out how to get out if this mess with old i.d.with a password that is impossible to find or change. I have quite a few apps on my ipad so I think I will need to try and find some way of keeping that I.d. and being able to access that account.

Icloud cannot be used to increase internal memory of ipads, otherwise nobody would buy more expensive 32, 64, 128 gigabyte versions. Hype with "movies in the cloud" is more of itunes store, keeping movies available for you in order to download on any device. That does not go against your storage in the cloud, though.
So if you go to your computer and you purchased movie ( not rented ) you can download and watch.
There is something else to pay attention to, your ipad (if I am not mistaken) is not capable to run HD movies, make sure you do buy Standard Definition, and they will take less space on ipad.

I had all of my pictures (about 1000) in icloud and i went from an iphone 4s to the 5s. Well my pictures were there when i first activated the phone but after i did the update they were ALL gone and it would be really fantastic if i could have all of my pictures restored onto my new phone since i thought that was the whole point in having the icloud. doesnt do me any good if i cant actually have any of my pictures that i saved to icloud for this very reason. when i upgraded i could keep my pictures. icloud.com doesnt help. none of the settings in my phone help. i feel like im going to have to reset my entire device and start all over again like its new. which i really dont want to do.

Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates available.

If you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded (and if it's still in the store) then you should be able to do so via the Purchased link under Quicck Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes, and/or via the Purchased Tab in the iTunes app on an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch : re-downloading.

If the iPhone is still working and the photos are in the Camera Roll (i.e., taken on the iPhone) then, when you connect the iPhone to your PC, it should be recognized as a Camera and Windows should start AutoPlay.

Go to Settings>Notifications and turn alerts/sounds on for the app(s) in question. Not all apps have all options.
