I have MBP 15" Intel Core Duo 2GHz. The airport card is : AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x86). I installed the N enabler but Network Utility still shows me I am in a/b/g and my connection to my Airport Extreme 802.11n is at 54M.
His my hardware supposed to do 'N' ?
The earlier Macbook Pros (Intel Core Duo) didn't have the Airport Extreme 'N' card in them. If your MacBook pro is a newer generation (Intel Core2Duo) then it would have the 'N' card. You would need to have to physically upgrade your internal Airport Card.

Only your friend can unlock it, either by giving you his Apple ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices - please see:

You most likely can not locate it because either the battery power ran out or whoever stole it turned it off.

FaceTime: I want to see the other guy, not myself
I'm self-conscious. I've looked for answers online but found nothing that directly addresses the issue. I've even seen something as ridiculous as having plastic surgery to improve your appearance of FaceTime. To me, using FaceTime is like hearing myself on a tape recorder "Eeew! THAT'S how I sound?!" I don't mind being seen, but I don't want to see myself - I find it distracting and my attention wanders as I critique any flaws in my appearance. This doesn't happen in a normal face-to-face conversation, why should it happen in a FaceTime conversation?
I want to see the person on the other end. I want that person to see me. That's what FaceTime is all about but...I want to be able to eliminate from MY screen that little box with myself in it. That doesn't seem like too much to ask of Apple. Maybe it can already be done and that's what I'm trying to find out. Anyone out there with any tips?
Thanks,Yeah, I get that and it makes sense. I just wish I had the option of making it somewhat less than perfect by eliminating the reflection box. When I'm on my macbook air, I can cover my image using a small window in Finder. I'll have to figure out a way on my iPhone. Maybe a small removable sticky note kept in my case for that purpose. Your reply is much appreciated and you were helpful. I looked at the link you shared but it doesn't really have any solutions - just the knowledge that others feel as I do. And you helped with terminology - I didn't know "that little box with myself in it" is called a reflection box. Thank you! :-)

So i've been using safari for windows for a couple of year with no issues. A couple of days ago i tried to open safari and a pop came up saying that it isnt working properly. I checked for any updates and there wasnt any, i then uninstalled safari and installed it again. The same thing is happening.
Has anyone got any idea what is going on?? or is anyone having the same issues??
I've now installed chrome as my browser. I did like safari thoughYeaaaaa that's a matter of opinion and I don't share it.
It's margianlly better than firefox and it burns CPU and ram like no tomorrow. -
Virgin Mobile Broadband2go usb, ie anything too slow and lags, found google chrome to be good, but they have gone Government on us!!! So i wonder if Firefox is compatible, slow? will it be as fast as chrome before I install? Any problems with using bitcomet or other torrent search things? Thanks... If not can you or will you suggest a simple browser that wont Big Brother us? (watching!)
BTW your Thunderbird is awesome..All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

Everytime I start Firefox 4 beta it crashes. I usually can visit one site on the web (doesn't matter what site) and then it locks up. The only thing that works on the browser then is the close button. After clicking the close button I'll try to restart the browser and I'll get an error message saying it can't open Firefox because it's already open. Which is a bunch of BS. The only I can get Firefox started again is to restart my computer. This is so frustrating that I've given up trying. Hopefully you guys know about this bug and can do something about it. I wasn't trying to post a question here I just wanted to make sure you guys heard about this problem.
yeah it is the gayest thing that happens :S what i do is turn off the internet, then open it, then turn on internet, then use it. :S OR make your homepage a tab.

Why does Perl 5.12 want to connect to daryl.dostech.ca and who the heck is Daryl?
After recently installing Lion I'm getting a lot of Little Snitch hits from Perl. WTH? OK, I know perl is a proramming language great for string manipulation and widely used in network programming but why does something like that want to connect to a guy like Daryl? I did a little investigation and it seems he runs or has something to do with the Spamassassin open sourcing here: http://spamassassin.apache.org/
OK, fine. So mail spam filtering? Great! But mail isn't running on this computer and I'm not running a mail server either. So why is OS X Lion wanting to connect to this guy?

I made a design in photoshop cs 5 and i wanted to print on vinyl/ Guy who is with printing department said that we need CorelDRAW file and

Guys, is there any Solution ?First make sure what you create in photoshop is already vector. The plotter knife can not use images (raster).
This gives you a few options some of which requires illustrator or corel draw.
Illustrator and corel draw can auto trace raster images
Illustrator can save files as corel draw
Corel draw can read illustrator files
In both cases The newest version wins since the older version would not know about the newer version (illustrator vs corel draw)
Photoshop can export illustrator paths (The illustrator file needs to be edited in illustrator or corel draw as the paths do not have a stroke or fill)
photoshop can export a vector pdf (assuming everything in the file is vector)
Both illustrator and corel draw can read and write pdf files.
If your design is raster you might be able to use the pen tool and manually trace the image in photoshop, illustrator or corel draw. (depending on the complexity of the image.) -
After upgrading from 7 to 8 my iPad 3 will freeze using email, safari, games. I never ever had a problem before this upgrade. Have done all the temporary suggestions but nothing is a permanent and will come right back. I am so sorry that I upgraded, can not go back. I really want to thank the IOS guys for screwing everything up. Seems like old times with the Microsoft Tech guys. I have no problem with my iPhone 6 Plus phone.
It seems to be caused by roboform 7.5.1. I upgraded to the latest version of robo and it's working now. Sorry mozilla, not your fault.. very frustrated.

Want to keep the screen in "fade out" mode

I use my ipod at work and I don't want to look like a guy with a tv running on his desk, so I keep my ipod touch set so that it locks after one minute. What I found really annoying is that if someone come to talk to me, I have to push the main button, unlock the ipod, and then press pause. I would like to be able to keep the kind of fade out mode that the screen turns to a few second before locking. This way, I will be able to press pause directly, and don't look like somebody who play with his ipod instead of working...
The only setting I see is the one that totally lock the ipod... is there something I can do?
If not, do you know if the screen will drown the battery a lot quicker if it's always turn on?
