I want to buy a MBA for HS but will it last me through all 4 years?
I will be using iMovie for presentaions. Also should I get iWork '09 or MS office 2011?
With reasonable care your computer should last at least 4 years - that's not to say you won't start dreaming about buying a new one in a couple of years Whether you should get Office or iWork depends mostly on how much you expect to share files in high school. If you think you'll be writing reports and printing them it doesn't much matter. However it is becoming very common for group assignments to require that people share their work with others as they work toward a common goal. Having Office will make this much easier since it tends to be the standard everyone works with.

The description says it requires the TomTom car kit. It needs GPS to work and the iPod does not have GPS.

How do i put info from a cd on my new imac that i bought last week since there is no place to put a cd?
If you have another Mac with an optical you might be able to use remote disk. Otherwise you'll need to either purchase software that can be installed from download or purchase an external disk drive. Practally any cheap drive from places like OWC, Amazon or NewEgg will work.

I want to buy a laptop for my study in college. I need it for web browsing, youtube, words, powerpoint, and light-medium photoshop. Should I buy rMBP 13" or MBA 13" ? Thx
Either - if you need the 'ultimate' in portability, buy the Air. But whichever you buy, make sure that you max out the RAM and the storage as neither the Air or the Retina MacBook Pro are user upgradeable.

I Want to buy the new mackook air (2013) .Will it be good enough for ios app development as i will be installing xcode. Is 1.3hz processor good enough.
The MBA is so small and thin many people can't help thinking it is like a Windows netbook - an underpowered toy. It isn't. There's nothing I do on my top end iMac that I can't - and don't - do on my MBA. Of course the iMac has a faster processor, bus speed, and a discrete video card so it is much faster than my MBA. Then again, my computers spend more time waiting for me to do something than I wait for them - and this includes using Photoshop and compiling code.
If I were writing large programs - something like Word for example - I'd want a very fast processor to speed up the compile/debug/compile cycle. But for iOS development your codebase will be much smaller. Frankly I can't see that much difference between a 13" MBA and a 13" MBP for development purposes. Now a top of the line 15" MBP is a different matter with its much faster CPU and separate video card. -
I want to buy a new apple tv but it used hdmi cables and my house is only wired for analog. Is there any way I can use the apple tv on analog cables?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
It's do-able, but I don't think it's a great idea.
DVI
Some users with DVI have managed to get their TV's to work with DVI-HDMI cables. DVI carries no audio, so alternative connections need to be explored to enable audio. DVI doesn't necessarily support HDCP as well as other standards used by HDMI (which may or may not be an issue)
Analogue
There are hardware converters that will convert HDMI to various other types of output, however there are some issues with doing so that you should be aware of.
HDCP
HDCP compliant converters will not allow you to watch HDCP protected content such as that from the iTunes Store. Non compliant converters exist but we cannot discuss them under the Terms of Use for these communities.
Resolution and aspect ratio
I'm not aware of any converters that will scale the output from the Apple TV, any TV or projector which is used will need to be widescreen and support resolutions of 720p (Apple TV 2), 720p/1080p (Apple TV 3)

I want to buy ipod touch 4 (8GB) , but i dont know is that enough for me
I want to buy ipod touch 4, my friends said i should buy 8GB one, but i dont know is 8GB enough for me to use. some people said that it only have 6.7GB for you to use, cause the ipod apps already used some of it. I want to have maybe 100 songs, some apps, pics, few games, 5-7 books, few online movies. For some of these, i would probably delete them and download new ones. So, any suggestion?? Please? I really want to buy it before this summer. but i dont want waste my money.
I would opt for the 32 GB one. Many users have been disappointed when they purchased the 8 GB since they quickly filled it.
Some apps can take 1 GB themselves. See the following for some other stirage useages:
iTunes Store: Download times will vary -

I want to buy iphone accessories for my iphone5
I want to buy iphone accessories for my iphone5, so that my iphone 5 can be more functional and more perfect.Anyone have any idea?
Here are some suggestions based off of what you'll be doing on you're iPhone. I recommend doing a search on Google since there are tons of accessories and everyone has their own preference in color, style, etc.
Listening to music - Bluetooth wireless speaker
Brands that carry these accessories: Jawbone Avantree, Kinivo
Watching movies - Get a case where the iPhone stands horizantally.
Brands that carry these accessories: Speck, MiniSuit
Taking pictures - iPhones camera is top notch. I would recommend enhancing it with these apps
Snapseed - Image touchups
Over - Typography
KitCam - Image touchups
Pic Collage - For collages
Pic Jointer - For collages
Instagram - Image sharing
Earphones - I think the ones from Apple are the best.
LG Tone - Good wireless headphone.
Dre Dre's Beats - Very popular.
Riding bike
Satechi's Bikemate
iKross
Hope that helps! -
I want to buy an ipad for someone that lives in Brazil. Which carrier should i buy so that it will work with the carriers in Brazil?
Look, any officially unlocked GSM iPhone will work in India. You purchase from Dubai, no FaceTime, and Dubai is part of the UAE. You purchase anywhere but India, and you will have NO warranty or support. Frankly, doesn't make any sense to me why you want to do this...and don't bother telling me you save hundreds of dollars...still doesn't make any sense. Do a forum search here. We get posts daily, from users in India, who didn't purchase their iPhones in India...guess what? They all have problems. You want to join that bunch? It's your money, have at it.

If I have a 20.oo gift card balance on my iTunes and want to buy some gems for my treasure diving game does it come off my gift card balance first or off of my visa
I have a credit card on file in my I tunes account, but I have been using gift cards for years. iTunes has never hit my credit card if I had enough money on my account with the gift cards.
The money should be taken from your account, if you have sufficient funds in the account. If your purchase goes over the amount that you have in the account, the entire purchase will be put on your credit card, even if you are only pennies over the account balance. -
I want to buy an iPad for my children for Christmas. Will they be able to play games and get on the Internet with this? Also, will they automatically be able to get on the Internet or will I have to purchase some kind of package?
Yes, they can play games - there are hundreds if not thousands of games available in the iTunes Store. Beware of the "free" games; many are free for the base game but charge for things like additional levels, "coins" etc. and those paid add-ons can add up quickly, to dozens or even in some cases hundreds of dollars. I'd strongly suggest you set up restrictions on the iPad to prevent your children from making unauthorized purchases. See:
http://ipod.about.com/od/iphonehowtos/ht/Using-Iphone-Content-Restrictions.htm
You will need an Internet provider of some sort; Apple is not a provider and so the iPad does not include a data service. You can either use a home Internet connection with a WiFi access point (aka "router") or you can get an iPad with WiFi+Cellular and sign up for a data plan with a cell carrier. WiFi through a home Internet service will probably be cheaper.

Today. 06/05/2012. I went to iStudio at Siam paragon bangkok Thailand About 14.54 (thailand) , I told the sell officer , " I want to buy Av cable for I pad2 use for every type of TV " .First I decide to buy Av cable but he suggest me to buy Av component and told me it's better than the av cable and av component is suitable for IPad 2 &TV.
Because of I believe and trust I studio ., then i paid 1, 890 Bht for it.
Now. I open your product Av component. And read manual instruction and follow step by step , Oh my God , I found that the adapter is 5v. .1 A. It cannot use with IPad 2 .
What can I do? Because. I read the receipt (bill) " no exchange or refund"
Can I Still Trust " I studio " at Siam Paragon or another branch in thailand?Because of the assistance by Lisa ,iTunes Store Customer
I was going to visit the retail store where I made this purchase. Siam Paragon Bangkok Thailand.
I can change the new product that compatible for my IPad 2

I want to buy an app for a gift, from i phone is it possible?
i want to buy an app for a gift, from i phone is it possible?
I am able to Gift an App from my iPad and assume it would work similarly on an iPhone. I go into the App detail and at the top right there is an option to "Gift this App". Is this what you want to do? Once you pay for it, It sends a redemption code to the email address of the recipient. They click on it and it installs the app.
